Kenny you've watched Naruto you haven't watched Haikyuu, You'd be able to finish Haikyuu in less time than Naruto even without the filler, Naruto has perverted teachers, Haikyuu has inspirational teachers, There like +10 action series in this patreon vs no sports anime at all, which means one works for the current audience while Haikyuu reaches a new audience

It's almost as if Naruto is very much "of its time" and has multiple questionable things in it, multiple contradictory morals and horrible pacing that people who rewatched it without Nostalgia glasses on know isn't actually good and definitely not the best thing to be seen after being exposed to multiple other shows that were written by people who had more of a plan and actually know how to write😃

Naruto legit caused me pain. As a writer, the world-building and writing in it is painfully bad. It starts out okay-ish for a bit, but the longer it goes on the worse it gets. Naruto literally peaks with the exam arc, an exam btw where pretty much none of the espionage tricks they learn and demonstrate ever comes up again in the future. The show just forgets that ninjas are meant to be spies half-way through and goes all in on mindless action, and not even good kind of mindless action. Gosh I freakin hate Naruto.

Yes, by far better, the story is good all the way through, incredible relatable themes from capitalism to health and different paths being valid in life, the ending everyone brings up whenever we talk about good manga endings, doesn't go on forever, the imporance of community, there's so much in haikyuu.

@Smug - Okay but who the F is watching Naruto episode 200 reaction? You can't just judge based on the first episode, it's a VERY long show, and nobody's going to tune in to each episode, people will just skim through, watch their favourite couple episodes or arcs and be absent most of the time. A more condensed series is thus better for retention.

Here's are some fun facts about Haikyuu just to show it's importance. After it started new High School Volleyball teams opened all around Japan, the JAPAN NATIONAL OLYMPIC TEAM plays a HAIKYUU OPENING when they win this does NOT happen for every sport. Players from different countries were carrying around Haikyuu plushies and talking about who their favorite characters are.

Compare the views Naruto reactions get at the start to how many they get a few hundred episodes in and it's going to be an insane drop-off. Something that long is simply not worth doing a series on, it's a waste of time. PS - I checked and the ep1 videos are not even that high in view count to begin with. They don't even come close to the modern big hitters like Frieren, Dandadan, etc and they have had years to accumulate views and just don't.

First of all they watch western shows, if they were to prioritize only views they wouldn't do that. Second, buddy if they are tied audiences clearly like haikyuu, plus Haikyuu will have a movie and new episodes in 2027 which will make the audience revisit through reactos even more than they already do.

Watching the 2024 Japan Olympic Team and hearing them play the opening songs after their matches is what made me decided to watch Haikyuu 😭 my other favorite fact about Haikyuu is the author played volleyball in high school (a middle blocker, same position as I played 🥹) and when he noticed that volleyball was declining in popularity, he wanted to write something that would make people care about the sport again. And Haikyuu did just that! Volleyball has had a HUGE resurgence of participation in Japan middle and high schools and many people attribute that to Haikyuu 🧡 It’s an anime that has so much heart because the author, Furudate, truly loves the sport and loves the characters he created 🥹

With how long the votes for Haikyuu and Naruto have been even, I think Kenny just needs to look at the comments. More people have been writing Haikyuu support comments, and said comments are getting more likes than those in support of Naruto. That feels as indicative as the votes themselves, if you ask me. Like, if you ignore the numbers and actually read the reasonings and arguments about why people want to watch Naruto and how they say spoke arguments compared to Haikyuu, the latter is just the BETTER option.

It's NEVER been this neck and neck before, so I still think that the best course of action would be to give one day to Haikyuu, and the other Naruto. Yeah, the reactions would take longer, but the trade-off is they keep the majority of their community happy. I feel like whichever show wins, a LOT of people on the other side are gonna be disappointed. ☹️ Maybe they can double up episodes of Naruto, like they did with Over the Garden Wall on YouTube.

If it were recent i may have missed it as ive been travelimg a ton. But yeah I mean, as far as we know, they may like haikyuu just as much if they give it a go 🤷🏽‍♂️ just personally, I feel like naruto would be better enjoyed on their own time so they could watch it in it's entirety and not have to wait in between binges, but mostly not worrying about stopping before shippuden or to ever figure out how to react to it. But If it wins, I'm sure it'll be fine you know. At the end of the day, all I can hope is that they enjoy whatevers chosen.

If you hate it then chill, we get it, but let others have their own opinions. Alot of us grew up with and love the story of Naruto. Sorry you didn't like it. Now, I don't think Montana will like it, and that's fair. It's not for everyone. But saying it legit caused you pain, get real buddy. "As a writer" shit, most of us write, some of us are published. We all take inspiration and enjoyment from different sources. But, we won't sway others from discovering new media just because we don't like the source material.
