the ace you're thinking of Monty is a service ace (serve ace) where you serve and get a point on that hit alone. In this show, 'the ace' is a position (usually the left wing spiker) but they do have service aces too

Phoenix_mercury

Grumpy tsukki is the best 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

PinkerRanger

love the reaction, but isnt the intro the hunter x hunter intro? :D

Cyan_Sky9135

My question wasnt answered in this episode because it was answered mid episode which I kinda expected. I just wondering if that "jump serve" was a real thing. Very cool that it is! Ads to the realism of the show! 🙂

I love rewatching from the beginning bc so many things pay off later on in the series and I’m so excited for you guys bc the show is not even close to hitting its peak yet

Honestly aside from Hinata being freakishly fast in some scenes, almost everything about this series is 100% accurate and realistic. Several volleyball professionals have watched it and complimented how accurate it is and the manga writer + producers of the anime made sure to take volleyball professionals opinions into account while creating the manga and the show. I think there's only about 2 or 3 scenes in the whole series where Hinata gets a block or touch and manages to get somewhere to hit the ball that professionals agree he'd have to be sprinting faster than usain bolt to actually manage.

Cyan_Sky9135

Yeah most "slice of life" animes have that in common, with very few exceptions.

Oh 200 likes Patreon let’s get it 😂😂

Cailey_1018

Almost at 200 likes people!! We need that vid of Montana 🤣

The important thing to notice here is that Hinata is still not happy with his role. Kageyama said, "As long as I'm around, with my sets," which means Hinata can't fight the blocker on his own but is dependent on Kageyama. Which is true, and his technique is awful. He realizes this; he accepts the role he is given, but he is far from being happy about it

No complaints there. We love them. Although I haven't spotted waddles amongst them yet.
