Derek Chase

"he has purple burkenstocks...he has to be trustworthy" about 6 minutes after Eda literally said "be safe don't trust a man with sandals"

BLUEMONKEY18

I’m super late to this reaction series but I need “am I like high as fuck or is this really funny?” as a sticker or something lol

Katsuki BakuGOAT

Are you guys ever going to react to the dragon Prince still?

Katsuki BakuGOAT

As someone who breeds and sells ball pythons for a living I can concur that it is of utmost importance to oil your snake daily

Evan

i knew a girl named dana who pronounced it like that so you’re all good!

thevoidbender

coming back around to watching this but did you just say DANA WHITE? LMAO bestie its Vanna with a V. I'm assuming you are talking about the Wheel of Fortune lady.

Gwishin39

Thank you for more Owl House

Kat

Ah this show has a special place in my heart. Plus the humor in this is pretty great.

Kinon115

I really hope you two pick this show.

William Timmins

Had a sh* day, this makes me feel worlds better. All the vibes to you two!

Blhu

Even though this episode isn't the best in the show (imo), it's still entertaining. It only picks up from here. Really hope you guys choose this series!

Chelle

If you enjoy the jokes in this show, then I definitely recommend you check out Gravity Falls at some point as well. They both have a similar sense of humor (and in GF the jokes are even more frequent). Ik you already did a post about it, but there’s another reason for you watch it lol… until then, this show has my vote! Looking forward to the next episode too

bobin

Dragon Prince is great, but I hope Owl House wins.

Jenny D

Yes! Gonna go pop some popcorn and watch my favorite show with my favorite reactors!

Jenny D

Hang on, I thought Montana didn’t like owls? I remember her saying something back when I saw your guys’ reaction to the ATLA library episode and I was like, “Damn, she probably won’t want to watch The Owl House.”

Jenny D

Also, Kenny, it’s Vanna White, not Dana. Though I have seen a lot of reactors pronounce Dana like you did, I believe in this case Montana’s correct.

BlueEyedRaven

I love both series, but rooting for The Dragon Prince first.

VVenture

Pretty cool watching this with you because it’s cool seeing jokes that I thought were decently good just killing you two 😂 Feels likewe’re slowly narrowing down your senses of humour.

Jenny D

My favorite line from this episode: “Or should I be like a bad girl chosen one with black nail polish and a mysteriously withdrawn attitude? ‘I act like I don’t care, but I secretly do.’”

blitzø

this show only gets better as it goes. best disney show since gravity falls, maybe even better depending how s3 turns out

Timon Pike

These first two episodes are pretty weak. They do set some broad world building and character introductions, but I think it's not until ep3 when we meet the rest of the main cast that any real plot advancement starts.

Jenny D

I think this episode’s hidden coded message is the easiest one to see.

Suplee215

I forgot how big a staff was in the openly episodes. the opening episodes is certainly everyone trying to feel out the show and stuff but even now its good.

Connla Lyons

Oh damn. I was firmly in dragon prince category. But your reaction to this episode highlighted to me that I've not seen you reacting to a more absurd show and some of the reactions to the jokes were genuinely cute and/or funny

King1007

After rewatching this episode, I realized that it contradicts Shera a little bit. The first episodesof Shera were about Adora finding the sword and discovering a path she dutifully has to follow. I think Owl House, on the other hand, gives the opposite message in this episode that Luz is not “the chosen one” and doesnt have a certain reason or purpose in this world. Rather her journey will be about her finding herself and growing up.

JHB
>>93344217

Well, there's a huge difference between Wan Shi Tong and Owlbert & Hootie in terms of intimidation potential.

JHB

The more common pronunciation is DAY-na, but there are some DAN-a s out there.

Whaf03

The Dragon Prince is great, but the Owl House is truly something special. The first half of season 1 has a decent amount of fillers episodes, but once the real story gets going, it gets REALLY good.

Jenny D
>>93344217

I’d argue that Hooty is more terrifying, or at least more unsettling, than Wan Shi Tong. But I thought Montana had said in that video that owls in general freak her out. I could be misremembering though, it’s been a while since I watched it.

Beeboop

This show is one of my favorites and it only gets better as you go! I am so excited to see your reactions to the plot heavy episodes, IM SO EXCITED!!! 💖💖💖

Asha Hayes

This show just gets better with each episode, I love it soo much ♡

J. Jenny Jameson

Arguing over the wizard's trustworthiness was really cracking me up. Good stuff.

evans-endeavors

this show is genuinely SO good. One of my all time favorite shows in recent years. Really hope you guys watch all of this series!

Aurora Thresher

I can’t wait for y’all to get into the nitty gritty of this show, I really hope it wins

B Luna

owl house's story is just SO complex-- I would love for y'all to take this on and REALLY get into it. Nothing is a mistake is in this show-- there are so many hints hidden in each so I encourage PAUSING to not miss things for this show :)

B Luna

I ALSO VOTE MONTANA WATCHES NATIONAL TREASURE

Leighton Williams

Praying this show wins, your reaction to this episode was so fun and I would love to see you watch the rest of the series!

B Luna

ok wow this was so fun to watch-- I love how much fun you guys are having with this show.

Emma Jarvis

Just here putting my vote in for Owl House

fr0st

The rose colored glasses quote is from another excellent animated (pretty adult) show, Bojack horseman!

LadyBee

commenting for owl house also......ya'll are awesome, thanks for the content :) also, the "am I just high AF or is this funny" LOL. I love the humor in this show, glad ya'll like it too

fr0st

Fantastic timing too on this one, if you pick it, since the final season is coming out now and only has three longish episodes.

William Timmins

I really like both The Owl House and The Dragon Prince, but I think TOH is a better solid fit for reaction right now.

David L

Honestly, I feel like I just flip back and forth on this and Dragon Prince. Like whichever one I've seen more recently I'm like, "Yeah for sure go with that one." So yeah Owl House would be awesome

Geneva

Owl house

fr0st

I feel like the more comedic and lighter tone of TOH will be a good balance as you get through FMAB, which is a bit more serious.

Darby

omg kenny hitting his pen mid reaction is the realest thing i love you guys lmfao

Yaboiswag

That pen hit was so funny to me idk why, if it caught me off guard 😂 had to take a rip with you Kenny!

VVenture

Btw if anyone is curious about what Kenny was referring to with plot and story structure, he’s referring to Joseph Campbell’s Monomyth, also called ‘The hero of a thousand faces’ or ‘the hero’s journey.’ Interesting stuff to look up.

Attila Kos

i cant decide between owl house and dragon prince.. they are both just so endearing...

Sean Fox

The new music reminds of csi opening theme for some reason

Sean Fox

Sad times in my opinion yj is way better than this

Darby
>>93358779

HAHAH oh no I can't remember and can't check right now but definitely towards the beginning i think before the intro??

Camryn

I need y’all to continue this show!! It’s so frickin funny

SweetCandle

Also, Lett's Review has the same abbreviation as Lett's React.

emelsi

I love what you're saying about TOH (and SPoP) being all about delving into emotional arcs, emotional themes. I get the impression (not watching anime myself) that the anime series are mystery box shows, and while there are some mysterious things in TOH and SPoP and Arcane, they all reveal what's actually going on fairly quickly so a lot of speculation about "what is happening in the plot" is less interesting than "what is this show telling us?" At least in my opinion - but I don't really care for mystery boxes, so I may be in the minority.

emelsi
>>93345821

I mean, in both cases the path laid out for the chosen one is a scam

Bazil

Honestly if you guys are liking the first few episodes keep in mind that's the low point of the show. It gets better from here.

Vex Valor

I hope this one wins. It has a bit of a slow start and if you are already enjoying it now, I can't wait for the later episodes. :)

Alyssa Black

Love this show, hope it wins 🙏🏾💕

NOT-ME YOU

Kenny you bad bad boy . Is that a vape pen ? 😉

NOT-ME YOU

We love the letts review and it works with the initials LR

jolly

yesss owl house has to be the choice!!!

Scar

Would love both of the shows but for right now I feel like TOH is a better fit between the timing of it being new and compared to fmab. Unlike how people wanted aot and invincible at the same time…TOH is just enough of wholesomeness to keep you feeling better after heartbreak in fmab, but it’s not so childish it will turn off an older audience. Really hope it wins and hope dragon prince wins the next one! Unless gravity falls or amphibia is considered… also this is Naruto’s ramen from YouTube btw, I was finally able to get your patreon due to finally getting my dream job! You guys have no idea how long I’ve been watching and waiting to be able to support you the best I can. I feel like I was the first one to recommend fmab in that after atla stream a while back? It’s been so long but I feel I’ve been supporting from the shadows for nearly two years:( hope y’all know how happy it makes me to be able to be here finally❤️

Aleph Sharp

Hoping the owl house wins, but both are good

hayden

the show might seem slow at first like it doesn't have a plot (trust me it does) but these episodes are VERY important because it gets you attached to the characters! i really hope you choose this one!!

Blacklung

toh for the win, plus its finishing up this month and the dragon prince will be over much later.

Blacklung

if you like toh humor you'll absolutely love the gravity falls humor

Suplee215
>>93475632

Is it finishing up this month? I haven't seen word on when thr 2nd and 3rd special come out

VVenture
>>93358779

Honestly I swear I felt both of you were just a tad high this episode and then when I saw that it all fell into place 😂

miserableplebs

Okay but now we need to see Montana’s reaction to National Treasure

fr0st

Oh btw, I don't know if this has been mentioned, but if you decide to watch TOH, the first letter of each episode in a season spells out a message so it may be worth following that as you go.

Lucy Diamond

I love The Owl House, and the storylines just build and get so much more intense but the characters always have the comedic energy. Similar to She Ra.

laundmo

i really hope you pick this

Joel David Allport-Cohoon

Love that Kenny called Atagast being a sham immediately, it took me until I heard he ran a potions business to get suspicious.
