Raine Whispers ... Edas love interest.

Retied

I am looking foward to next week. The Hooty episode.

Asad Khabir

It's funny that the song that Eda plays to Raine is called 'Raine's Rhapsody'. Rhapsody refers to a music that is free flowing in nature and jubilant in nature. The song Eda plays through out the episode is 'Eda's Requiem'. Requiem is much more somber in nature.

Kikibitch getting on my nerves all over again.

Nicolette Roman

Ahhhhhh!!!!!! I love this episode so much I haven't even watched their reaction yet I'm just so excited😁😁😁😁

The term bootleg comes from smugglers hiding items in the leg of their boots. The term later became connected specifically with the act of smuggling alcohol, eventually the act of secretly producing alcohol to bypass bans or taxes, and by extension to anything produced without the legal right to do so. Bootleg turn comes from a maneuver in which a car is forced to spin 180 degrees and come to a stop, allowing a quick getaway in the opposite direction - very useful if your car is full of bootleg moonshine.

So much eda backstory and this is an eda episode without Luz being too involved. Love those

blitzø

they have the same voice actor...

HAHA YES i've been waiting for Darius I was hoping Kenny's VA sense would pick it up

Is there a "Kenny self-owns just by looking a word up" counter? The whole exposition about "bootleg" got it backward. It started off by literally meaning smugglers hiding things in boot legs to avoid taxes/fees/prohibitions/etc. The "bootleg turn" came about as smugglers forced their vehicles to do unexpected things to throw off pursuers. For cars, it was handbrake turns and J-turns, for boats it was the old "put an anchor down" trick to abruptly stop and change their direction.

Did you recognize the "Azula's voice" member of the BATS as the same character who we saw in the conformatorium in the opening episode (Season 1 ep 1): the food-fanfiction girl.

From a design standpoint, I really like how Darius looks. Since he works with Abominations it would have been easy to make him look, idk, outwardly more disgusting or something? Like, even though Alador has a kind of 'mad scientist' look going, he also has Abomination stains on his shirt and is clearly a bit sloppy. And since Abominations are kind of goo monsters, the most obvious design choice for an Abomination coven head would be something that emphasizes that. But instead Darius is *very* well dressed and clearly chose his look very specifically. IDK, I like the contrast of a witch who uses monster goo magic being a bit of a neat freak and well dressed haha.

edas requiem is one of my top favourite episodes ever of the owl house so i was excited to see what you think!! absolutely loved your interpretation of the whole thing

Zain Cassis

Relate to the straw rant lmao

clau

raine is the smartest person in this world. and... they are the only person that never takes advantage of eda. even luz or king or her mother have done that, but raine always sacrifices themselves first. its so subtle, you don't really appreciate it on a first watch.

Lance Hoops

i felt so bad for eda in this episode

Megan Wall

Yesss raine one of my favourite characters I love them so much. Darius is so cool I’m so excited to see all these characters again with you guys.

Sid

Take a shot everytime Kenny says "Azula's voice actor"
