Hello everyone and welcome! This is yet another roadmap update for Vanilla Expanded mod series, this time however with some additional interesting statistics.

Last year has been a blast. Despite me wanting to slow down with mod releases due to the stress it causes, we have still managed to release 19 great mods that enhance our Vanilla Expanded collection.

I cannot imagine taking this journey without such a great community, so I would like to thank everyone who chose to support us, either by playing with our mods, or by becoming a patron. Every single one of you is a part of this success, and I am really proud with what we have managed to achieve.

We have great plans for next year, with some of the best mod releases we have ever done. I think Vanilla Expanded keeps improving, and with the experience we've gained, we are really able to provide you with a level of content rivalling that of the official DLCs.

I hope that the coming year will bring all of us happiness and courage to face the problems we come across head-on, and I will do my best to ensure that there is always a new release waiting for you when you get back home after a hard day.

As Vanilla Expanded has been growing in size over the years, now more than ever I need to remind you, that you don't have to play with all of the Vanilla Expanded mods enabled. The amount of content our mods add altogether will bloat your game so much that you won't feel the RimWorld spirit anymore. Choose the mods that go well with your playstyle and use them, and simply disable the mods that you don't feel like interacting with!

Once again: Thank you, to Vanilla Expanded team, to our patrons, and to every single person playing with our mods. Looking up the numbers to create these statistics have brought a huge smile on my face, and I simply cannot wait to drop another banger on you. I'm really looking forward to those Warwalkers!

See you all in the near future!

Medieval was so good they went back for Medieval 2 : Non-Electric Boogaloo

Thank you and the VE team so much! My love for / fun with Rimworld would only be fraction of what it is without the VE team (and all the other modders, of course!) I have all the VE mods, but only have a certain set active with every playthrough.

Dimitry Minchenkov

Thank you and all the amazing modders of the RimWorld - you're making this game what it is for us!

Benneth Bennington III

"You don't need to have all the mods active in your games" Psshhhh, your loss (My cpu could catch fire don't actually add every one of them they know what they're talking about) Sidenote: Love all the work y'all do. More than glad to throw money at work well done with programmers that care about what they're doing

Falco

On the one hand, maybe not having them all activated at the same time is a good idea, on the other hand I'm addicted to having mods. Here's to a good year y'all.

TT

Ever thought of having modlists based off themes? Like this for Mid-evil style playthroughs?

D-Train

Love the "meet the team" panel. I always love seeing the amazing people and homies responsible for the things I've enjoyed.

Thibault Chuffart

Thanks a lot to all the team for their work :) And have a nice year 2024!

Here's to another great year of Vanilla Expanded, lads! Can't wait to laugh maniacally as my colonists squish hordes of terrified, puny, relic-obstructing tribals beneath the plasteel hooves of building-sized warwalkers hurling barrage after fortress-busting barrage of missiles and shells. As an aside suggestion, it might be an interesting tie-in between Health and Warwalkers to have neural interfaces (a la Pacific Rim). I read some interesting sci-fi recently that describes some psychological malaise where soldiers who interface with their vehicles too long can go mad from the powerful feeling of literally being such a massive machine.

AspenMani

Any ETA on the RimEffect mods?

Tay'Yeer

Very curious about Vanilla Aspirations Expanded! If it will give my colonists something to do when idle, that would be awesome

Loyola

Oooh, Vanilla Medieval 2. Hype!

Qualli

VE Mods are the best. I will definitely play with all of them. :D But already used the Cherrypicker mod to clear some unwanted content out of the game.

PaperClipChip

Yes! Vanilla Factions Expanded Medieval 2!

Hyomoto

That's hilarious. Yeah, it's true that with all VE turned on you get some bloat, but that's why you patch it! Truth be told picking a handful of modules would probably feel worse as part of what makes VE appealing is adding width to gameplay, not just height. Will I have a Sango? Should this be a Lycan cult? Maybe it's a mechanitor paradise? Join with the Classical Empire? All of the above? None? The fact it can exist is what makes it compelling!

Merx

Thanks for making Rimworld a perfect Experience!

Silverskene

I thought Helixien was doing part of the Corporations mod. Are they not part of the team?

Kuru Chilion

I was always torn between using either Vikings or Medieval mod to fill the missing medieval faction gap in vanilla, it looks like I won't have that issue anymore once Medieval 2 is released

Joel Fitzgibbon

"Which is why you shouldn't play with all VE mods" sorry guys but uuuh you can't stop me :)))

Daniel

With Pigskins now on the roadmap, I wonder if you have any plans (or just ideas) for the remaining 4 vanilla xenotypes?

Buldermatts

You guys have transformed one game that I like very much into literally the best experience I've ever had in gaming as a whole. I wholeheartedly thank you for developing what I believe is, in my absolutely insane judgment, the ultimate videogame <3

i love this load map... I hope that someday a new mode dealing with Ailen vs predator will be worked on here.
