It’s been a while since I sat down and made a more detailed painting! I’ve been so into purple/sepia tones lately, and I couldn’t help but channel that aesthetic into this painting idea.

I really ove how you start with a very simple sketch and refine more and more through the process. The final result is very cool, because the colors look very cohesive, and it may look simple on first glance but when you start to look around, you can notice the details. It has a very soft and kinda velvet texture! But my favorite part is your shape design (mostly in the hair). This is very inspiring!

I started drawing some of the shapes just to study the shape language and I was blown away by the cast shadow of her right hand being part of a big pointy branch shape!! The care and love you put into each piece is incredible!
