I posted the WIP of this at the beginning of last month, and a lot of you said that they would like to see this piece finished because it’s so different from stuff I’ve drawn before! I really enjoyed this one, tackling the texture of the snake’s skin was interesting and new for me. I’ll post a little step-by-step on how I did that soon.

This one was inspired by the yellow indigo snake, although I didn’t stick to its exact appearance for this painting. I was just amazed by the beauty of the colors and texture of this snake. Hope you guys like it!

You’re a godess when it comes to picking colors especially 😍🤩😍

This is stunning! I’ve never been so happy that Patreon allows me to view artwork full-screen - there’s so much impact to this one 🖤

Kamila

Oh girl, this is so powerful!

One question, what school did you study? I’m looking for a good one to start a new career. Thank you so much for share your work, so inspiring!!!!

This feels like a Magic the Gathering card, in the best way. Specifically it feels like a green or black card while not actually having any green or much actual black. Very out of this world feeling, and something I could see fitting as one of the art only cards. And Magic artists are kind of my touchstones for how you make something feel like a particular color while using that color as little as possible.

OMG LOVE THIS SO MUCH 😍😍😍 I can't wait to get the drive of this month to use it as a wallpaper !

Laura Heuijerjans

My goodness that snake turned out so beautifully <3333

AJ Howard Art

Incredible work!!😱😱😍😍

Elina Mauno

Spent some time trying to figure out how the snake twists before realizing it's intentionally not making sense anatomically if it was just one snake XD

Luz Tapia

It's awesome Loish!!! Are you going to join Inktober this year??

Ayana

Amazing! Will this be available as a print? I would love to have this in my home!

Loish

I'm not doing inks this year! it's too repetitive. I'm gonna try some new media this year.

Loish

thanks so much! I studied at the utrecht school of the arts. it wasn't great though, I don't recommend it. I think that online schools like schoolism are a better alternative for my art school.

Loish

that's so ineresting! i think that general idea - getting a color without using it - is so fascinating. just shows how expressive color is and how it's all about relationships.

Loish

haha yeah i gave up on the realism behind the snake fairly quickly :')

Zoe

Just stunning 😍

Elina Mauno

Yeah haha I think it's just the unconscious human mind wanting to make sense of animals' anatomy XD But it looks awesome this way!

Luz Tapia

Ohhh super excited about what you do this year!!

Edwin Rodriguez

This is breathtaking! I look forward to seeing how you did this because I have had to do scaley textures before and was not successful. :(

Laura Eidolon

You’re so inspiring and I’m so thankful to even be able to see your process of anything you draw.

Lalita Marvin

One of my favorite things about your art is how you make your characters so glowy, like they have an internal light source

Agnese

My favourite element of this is how you are boldly showing your strokes. In places, it almost looks like an etching. It’s really beautiful!

Loish

thank you! when i was first learning how to draw, I was really into cross-hatching. I still really love the texture that the hatching approach gives so I still use it in my painting process.

chiirpy

This is amazing! So much details
