Hello flame patrons! This month I am able to do a weekend Q&A session! It will take place on Saturday July 29th, at 5pm CEST. You can use this time converter to figure out what time that is in your area!

I will be streaming directly into the discord server as always (check out this resource if you're not sure how to get into the server)! It would be great if you can join, but don't worry if you can't - as always it will be recorded and uploaded here for later viewing.

Hello Loish. Thank you for answering my previous questions. Here’s another one. Do you have a checklist when you finish an artwork? Here's mine so you can see what I mean by this: 1/ I mirror the work to check if things are out of balance. 2/ I put the artwork on a white background, a gray and finally a black background. (To check the brightness or color saturation.) 3/ I check the borders of the work. I don't like if the border are ending in ‘too bright’. (So basically I put manually a sort of a ‘vignetting’ on it.) 3/ This sounds cheesy… but I show the work to my wife. She gives great and respectful feedback. I value her judgment. 4/ I'm still doing minor tweaks in Lightroom. Usually some sharpening and some vibrancy. 5/ I hide the date in the work and I sign it! So I was wondering if… or what elements you check before considering the artwork as finished?

Hi loish, the gradient tool is not working at all for me. When I go use it on a layer it makes a new one with a mask It doesn’t use yet he colour is select either and only lets me use the tool once on that new layer mask layer and goes into other layers. I have it on colour to transparent. Really mind boggling. Would love it you could let me know what I’m doing wrong for this tool. Thanks so much Julianne

I had this exact issue until changing the drop down menu from "gradient" to "classic gradient" and checking the "dither" and "transparency" boxes.
