Spooky Season is finally here!

Also Artemis' birth month!

UI work is my favorite thing but also pure torture. Because you have the idea. You know what you want this particular thing to look...specific. But the idea just isn't quite there. Yet sometimes the best ideas are the simplest ones. The Firm/Empathy choice buttons will now look like this. I'm debating if the fist and the open palms icons will remain in the app. Or if that'll also be updated to have something similar below.

The app will get a slight facelift where I'll be adding a description of what the indicators refer to. The short version tho:

Purple - Batman

Gold - Superman

(Referring their approach to situations lol)

Something I coded in earlier last week is the choice for Koko's split scenes. When I originally wrote them, they were planned to just be two separate wholesome scenes. Which they still are, but the scene has involved a lot since Book 1 as it now will include Artemis tagging along. The scene has been elevated a lot and both scenes carry significance.

So to avoid anyone having to go all the way back to CH4, there'll be an opportunity in CH8 to change whether you still want to go to the beach with Artemis and Koko or the dog park. The two scenes aren't "scene a is bad outcome" and "scene b is good outcome". It's teasing the kinds of scenes that'll be presented throughout the remaining chapters. Though much more grandiose.So, I'm really excited for this chapter. Closing Book 2. Some good reveals and seeds of what to expect for Book 3.
