My Hero Leveling Ch.01 (Patreon)

My latest attempt to write a new story, as well as a My Hero Academia crossover, is here!

As you can probably tell from the title, this one is a crossover with Solo Leveling, something that I have come to enjoy greatly. I have done some research and discovered that this crossover have already been done multiple times, but I'd also like to try it out and see just how far I can take it.

So have a good time read, folks! The summary of the story is quite long, so I will leave it for you to discover as you go into the docs link. As always, make sure to leave me a heart and a review in the comment once you have finished reading.

I think I've seen a story or two with a similar premise before. And considering the fact that you have a crossover with solo leveling I was wondering how you would tackle a crossover with MHA. And would you look at that it seems like my wish was granted. I would say that the start was certainly promising but there are a few things that kind of catch my eye. I was under the impression that Izuku gets all for one the day of the entrance exam rather than before it. Grnted, I could be misremembering it or you could just changed the timing. Another thing that really bugs me a bit was the fact that Izuku seems to know All Might's true name when I don't think he heard it before meeting Gran Torino. And of course there's the fact that All Might refers to Izuku by his first name instead of Young Midoria. Pretty minor stuff in the grand scheme of things but certainly odd in my opinion. Aside from that this was a solid start like I said before. You did a good job at introducing the changes solo leveling has added to the MHA world and Izuku was unlucky enough to be there when things really went FUBAR. I really was not surprised to know that his heroism was enough to impress UA, especially since All Might vouch for him and rescuing as many people as he did was a much better demonstration of heroism than anything UA themselves can think of. Granted he still has to take the written exam but I don't think that's an issue. All Might was definitely right and congratulating him when he did. So yeah, I am intrigued by this story already and want to know more. But I still have to say that considering the fact that you have other stories to work on I can't help but be concerned about the fact that you may be biting more than you can chew.

I actually ended up missing that so I am happy that you clarified that in one of these comments. Nejire I can take or leave but the rest of them are pretty good choices. Especially Ochako since I feel like she really is a quintessential girl for Izuku. Also I didn't mention this in my review but Courage of the Weak really sounds awesome in my opinion.

lol I'll admit since I literally just woke up I was confused for like 30 seconds thinking you were rewriting your Dragon Leveling story for some reason but then realized it's an MHA story

Interesting story. I liked the prologue, I’m curious to see where this goes. I’m curious as to how one for all and the leveling system will work with each other. Anyway, I want to see where this story goes. I have high hopes for it

Hmm, I dunno chief While you're certainly going about it in a lot more interesting way already than all the other MHA/SL fics out there, I feel that giving Izuku both OFA and the Shadow Monarch power is...overkill. Severe overkill really SM can already on its own grow about as strong as OFA, and even before it ever really gets near its full output needed to beat AFO (no mind adding in all the other Quirks OFA has) - SM will be enough to body just about 99% of the MHA verse if I remember right, if not everyone else besides those who are directly able to actually give OFA and Shigaraki some trouble (which i think was basically just Star and Stripes and All Might). Giving him OFA on top? Way too much power. It'd have honestly been more interesting I feel to either give OFA to someone else (say, Mirio, always felt like he'd be the better candidate for this or that reason imo) or still have Izuku with OFA while giving SM to someone else or not have it be a thing at all. The MHA verse itself is already strong enough (especially given that people there, unlike Hunters, can actually grow stronger over time) to deal with anything the SL one throws at it (barring the apparent Multiversal things from the sequel stuff and EoS Shadow Monarch) so giving someone the SM power genuinely ain't really necessary. Like, it's your story at the end boss, but I just feel you've overloaded Izuku here just a touch. On to something less serious, any chance you could consider removing Ochako from the harem lul. Never much liked her as a romantic interest, the rest are absolutely S tier pics tho, brother - only thing that might've made it better is maybe the Shark/dolphin big woman instead of Ochako.

Until it becomes overkill I'm gonna have a blast writing the journey for Izuku to get there. and who said anything about Izuku having Shadow Monarch class? Even on AO3, the tag is 'Shadow Monarch Successor Izuku' and not 'Shadow Monarch Izuku'. He will have his own class here that evolved from SM. Not to mention I don't think there are many stories that have gone down this route before so I'm willing to charge ahead first, with Izuku having both One for All and the System, which is helping him adapt faster to One For All and at the same time empowering it too with the Fighter Class, instead of just taking him from it. I think it's the unique spin in how to handle Izuku having both of them if you are already enjoying the spin that I got for this chapter, I'm sure you will come to enjoy it way more as the story process. We are only 3 chapters into the story, there's still a whole lot more for you and everyone to see. And you can't change my mind about Ochaco. I like her with Izuku. Maybe you will end up liking her later through my story, but if not then you can still enjoy the others in his harem that are s-tier for you haha.

That's all fair enough, I'm just saying I think it wasn't really needed to give him both things, since either is strong enough to put him at the top of the verse. I'm sure you'd write it well either way, you've shown that sufficiently enough with the DxD fic Also fair. On paper, Ochaco should've been at least A tier for me, if not S tier. It's weird, but something about her just always put me off I'm just thankful it's not to the extent as how much I dislike Hinata, I genuinely have difficulty reading harems with that gitl just being in there. Ochaco at the very least I can ignore well enough to enjoy the rest of gals.
