There it is, everyone! The last update of this hectic, eventful, and incredibly busy month is finally here! Chapter 68 of Dragon Leveling, An Eventful Day, has arrived!

Have a good read, everyone! This chapter is certainly much shorter than the usual standard I have set for this story, but I hope it can still serve as a fun little interlude following the events of the Kyoto Arc as we prepare to move on to the next Arc of the story. There are also a couple of fun pieces of information being introduced in this chapter, so I hope you enjoy them and have fun reading!

And now, we have BIG PLANS coming in September, everyone! Now that everything else is finally behind me, I suddenly have so much more time to dedicate to writing. Because of that, as you can probably tell, I have decided to start bringing back some of the stories that have been left on hiatus for far too long, such as Son of War, which recently received a new chapter after such a long atime.

I'm really sorry to everyone who has been a fan of those stories and has had to wait this long for updates. I know some of you have been waiting patiently for their return, and I genuinely appreciate that patience. I never intended for some of these stories to remain dormant for as long as they did, but with everything that had been going on in my life, finding the time and energy to work on all of them, especially when I was hit with writerblocks with them, simply wasn't possible.

With that in mind, the next post/update will come really soon! As always, thank you for all the reviews and support. I really appreciate every single one of them. Please enjoy the chapter!

Make sure to leave me a heart and a review once you have finished reading, and I will see you really soon in the next one.

Peace!

Dragon Leveling Ch.68

Summary: The morning after the day he was killed by his girlfriend, Issei woke up and saw two things. First was Rias Gremory sleeping next to him in his bed, and second was a floating blue window congratulating him on becoming The Player and telling him to go work out as a daily quest.

Describing Issei's day as eventful is certainly an understatement but not inaccurate considering everything he found out in the span of one meeting. I am happy to see the rating game even if it's not exactly one of my favorite parts of the light novel. How exactly the army will play into things is actually something to consider since nobody wants to see him getting a victory as a result of overwhelming his opponents. But considering who he is fighting, it is him to say that our favorite lion tamer isn't going to be happy with fighting an opponent with so many restrictions. After everything he's done seeing Issei getting a promotion to a high class devil is more than warranted and it's safe to say that he has it in the bag and the fact that at this point the examination is mostly a formality is something I am glad that was addressed. Elith did make herself known throughout the chapter but only a small bits at first before finding Kuroka at Issei's command. I am curious to see what you have in mind for her. And also let's not forget who our protagonist gets for his peerage. So yeah, we got some good news and some not so good news considering that the aftermath of Kyoto is still too fresh and so Japanese heroes aren't exactly looked at very fondly for the moment. I genuinely think this is one injury that is going to be healing later rather than sooner. Anyways, I did appreciate you squeezing in one last chapter at the end of the month and I can't wait to see why you come up with. I also have made it no secret that I'm only reading two of your stories so bringing back the ones you've had on hiatus doesn't really mean much to me personally but I am happy for whoever is a fan of those stories. I really am looking forward to seeing how much your output increases now but I still have to recommend for you too pace yourself since burnout is very much a possibility.

Always apprciate your review! ❤️

Did Issei gain any new shadows from the defeated foes in Kyoto?

Nah (he already has many Heroes in the army from the parallel world)

God/Devil Damn, High class promotion already, although considering the events that have transpired it’d be more weird if he didn’t. Actually, then again I would’ve also thought there’d be a little push back a “reincarnated devil” was advancing up the ranks so quickly, even if it’d hold no ground. Woulda been cool if Issei asked a senior like Azazel, Sirzechs or Grayfia if the ache of betrayal ever gets easier over time as a show of trust showing his vulnerability, but honestly not fussed about that. Just an idea.

Ugh to short of a chapter but he got promoted for high class good his dream of harem king is literally at the tip of his fingers and who better for him to start recruiting with kuroka since koneko is with rias it makes sense god i cant wait
