Selling a house is so frustrating. You get a text at 8:00 pm in the evening like "hey, someone wants to see your house at 7:00 am tomorrow morning". So now you have to spend the rest of your evening cleaning your house top to bottom. Beyond a normal deep-cleaning; no personal effects out whatsoever. Not even your toothbrush. Then you can't sleep that entire night because any of these showings could be the one, and what if it's THIS one? So after a bad night of sleep, you wake up, clean up all the stuff you couldn't last night (HIDE THAT TOOTHBRUSH), and corral your cats up into their kennel, and goddamn they HATE that kennel. But you hurry them into the car and drive away, because you can't be anywhere NEAR the house while they're looking at it, so you just drive. Maybe get lunch, maybe just sit in a parking lot... except you're in the woods, so both of these things are at least a 15 minute drive away. But you drive all the way there... only to get a text saying that they've already come and left, and they're "just browsing, thanks!".

And then you come back home, dejected in your empty house that hasn't sold yet, and wait for the next one. We've done this like 5 times now. But maybe the next one... The next one is THE one, definitely.

That's all for today, though! See you on Friday!

Steg 🤣 Sorry to hear you're dealing with time wasters. May one of those nibbles turn into a catch soon

I appreciate that for all his foibles and his going behind folks back, Sterling is at least standing up for Steg and Suria with the intent to not let them be taken advantage of. Like it's all well and good that Steg and Suria are into this, but Sterling knows well enough to tread carefully. As for the house selling mess, I can only send you both my best wishes and hopes that it sells for a good price and in short order.

Yeah....idk how your realtor is, but whenever my family members went to sell their homes, they always explicitly said to the realtor to ONLY show the house to serious buyers, not just anyone. I don't know if you personally can do that or not, but if you can it might ease your stress a bit.

Yknow he's being a good manager. Gotta make sure no one crosses your clients lines

Hehe, great page, buy I feel like it would be hypocritical of me to not point out the problematic origins of "Beyond the Pale". Oh well.

Man. I was just on the other side of the fence. My partner and i just bought a house and its nice to get... a little insight to the other end of it. We were seriously looking for close to eight months before we found the right one - but our house was only on the market for a few days when we got to it. Hopefully your turnaround is short! It's a stressful process all around.
