Ta-daaaah!

Man, BUMMER of a weekend for us. As you know, we're pretty big into sumo and particularly a sumo streamer on Twitch. Unfortunately, they were hit with a copyright claim from the sumo broadcast rights holder, meaning no more sumo streaming from that streamer. Other sumo channels on twitch were also hit and opted to just power through it. Problem is that those other channels are scummy as hell. The most prominent one is a channel that plays nonstop AI generated music on top of the sumo matches. Every other channel runs defense and advertises for that channel, either because "they're a friend of the stream" or "it's AI generated but they do a lot of work on top of it", including the stream we were subscribed to. The ones that don't are SUPER scummy and pure gambling focused. Either way, the rights holders are coming after rebroadcasts of their channel on twitch, so sumo streaming is done.

We'll still be able to watch edited videos of the matches on youtube the next day, but man, it was really neat being able to watch live sumo. It became me and Leslie's bi-monthly tradition for the last year or so. Not much else you can really say but "ah well". Not the worst thing in the world, but still a bummer.

That's it for today, though! Thanks so much for your support, and see you on Friday!

Stupid twitch crap... NAKED SURIA! LOOK HOW HAPPY SHE IS!

Clever Username TBD

So can you find the sumo matches here legitimately? If not, it's BS to have them cut off.

Michael Butchin

WOOHOO! Go, Suria! I could see her playing a solo while Steg rails her, like in The Red Violin. Talk about spirit! Talk about a show! Anyway, I need a glass of water, now.... Damn shame about the Autumn Sumo Tournament. I live in Taiwan- maybe I can find a channel over here that might work...?

I was expecting a Kamehameha to come out of her vagina after she revealed herself

To answer you and Michael, unfortunately the only way to watch it live now is through Abema's own stream, which is blocked outside of Japan. Only a few VPNs have Japanese nodes which can connect to that stream, and those have hard data caps that won't last the whole tournament. Much as I like sumo, I'm not gonna put too much work into watching if they're gonna try this hard to keep me out. I'll just watch edited down youtube clips if those stay up.

Seth bursting a vein or something

Never give up on your dreams!

Aw, shucks. I was hoping Taiwan might have some kind of workaround. It's a peculiar mix of Chinese and Japanese culture, here. I was hoping I might find a local station might have something on. I'll still have a look, just in case.

She’s so cute and happy I can’t stand it! I’m about to explode into freakin’ RAINBOWS here!!

I keep having to remind myself that the Rock Cocks are still all in Atlanta right now. Depending on the date this is all going down during, maybe they can catch Konishiki’s annual Sumo + Sushi tour when it comes to Atlanta in early October. Maybe Steg will be inspired by the rikishi and want to start wearing a silk mawashi. Or mawashi inspired silk thongs. Maybe Georgie will want to have someone tachiai his ass from behind. Hakkeyoi! Or Dakota sees compilations of Enho taking down giants and suddenly he wants to learn how to grapple, but he keeps loosing focus whenever he is pressed into Steg’s mawashi. Coral and Clover get into sumo dom play, and Georgie has to be the Gyoji because everyone else gets too turned on watching. Suria always looses because she doesn’t care about following the “rules”, and also just wants someone to tachiai her. Instead she’s made to act as Oyakata along with Liz. If it’s unclear who “wins” they call a monoii, but instead of a slomo replay, it’s whoever gets one of them off first wins. All that to say: Horny gay/bi sumo in a niche that I would love to see become reality. I have so many thoughts and they will only get hornier. The Beya offers so much room for activities. At the present, I’m content with watching highlights from some guy on YouTube named Ien. (Username includes the punctuation) or Don Don Sumo (he used to only do breakdowns of his top 10 favorite bouts of the day, but has recently started doing it for the full day) but I’ve also thought about trying to watch it a little more legitimately. Unfortunately it’s not in my budget to do that now. Currently, it seems like the only option for the US and Canada is a streaming service called JME which is owned and operated in some part by NHK. If you want to watch sumo, you have to pay for their premium plan, which is currently $25.99/month. Until there are other options, I’m probably going to keep watching the breakdowns and the NHK “live” recordings for the second half’s of days 1, 8, 14 and 15.

Oh something is bursting, based on how Georgie was tending to him when last we saw him~

Sucks about the sumo stuff. If they don't like piracy, they could at least make it more accessible (and pay their wrestlers a fair fee as a result). But whe they get rid of legitimate ways to watch it, what do they expect to happen?

François Lalande

On the NHK World youtube channel and their site/app, you can watch the highlights of Makuchi division. It's about 30 minutes long. you see all the bouts but without the preparation phase. You have replays for most bouts and comments in english.
