Update: We will be making a number of small edits to the public version of DF Direct Weekly #229. The main one concerns the PS6 mini console story - this is speculation from MLiD itself, not actually a leak.

Original Post: In the latest DF Direct, Rich and Alex share their hands-on experiences of the Xbox/Asus ROG Ally X and non-X, while the team react to Epic's Tim Sweeney seemingly laying the blame on developers for sub-optimal Unreal Engine 5 games. More PlayStation leaks raise the interesting idea of a "Series S"-like cheapo PlayStation 6, while Alex discusses a couple of his favourite SIGGRAPH graphics presentations. Finally, John's massively enthused by Shader Glass and is here to tell you why.

Rich, it's good to note that the PS6s is not anything Tom has seen in any documentation. It is simply his own theory on what he would do if he was Sony.

Based off of Jim Ryan and Mark Cerny comments on lower spec machines and Mark Cerny's developer focused PS5Pro upgrades. There is no way this exists. I don't think Sony will mandate'PS6' native support for this handheld. Like Switch, certain games will be cloud only, and everything can be remote played. After all the headaches developers had this gen because of SeriesS, there is no way Sony would throw away all the good will they built up over the past 2 gens. Especially considering Mark Cerny spends years asking developers what they want before beginning on the design, as per the road to PS5 talk

Would Rich say that the grips on the Xbox Ally were..... love handles?
