A mobile battle for the ages as we compare the same games running on Switch 2 in mobile mode up against iPhone 17 Pro. Switch 2 has the advantage of more specific optimisation from developers and active cooling at the expense of form factor and a much less efficient process node. So based on the games available for direct comparison, what have we learned?

i KNOW(!) this is a first world point to highlight, but be the change you want in the world, etc. Can Digital Foundry have an editorial mandate that requires their team to say Zero, instead of Oh? 3:07. Eight oh Eight P isn't a resolution. Eight Zero Eight P is.

Interesting outcomes. Given the age of the silicon the Switch 2 really does perform well, but then, that is its sole purpose… For me the main takeaway is Apple clearly have the hardware to more than compete in the console space. Too bad they don’t see a worthwhile market there. Thanks for the analysis Oliver!

I recognise this might be an "it depends" question. I have never had the Switch (1 or 2), thermally throttle on me, but I know iPhones do. When playing any of these games does it usually stay at full performance or will it throttle after 10/30/60 minutes of normal gameplay?
