And up next in Phase 5! A nice and short movie before we end up dipping back into more TV shows. 😜

I have some pros, and some cons, aka. a pretty typical MCU movie these days. Please enjoy my reaction and I'm looking forward to your thoughts on this one! [Direct link here.]

I enjoyed most of the movie, but did not like the scene with the cats. That was too silly even for me. That mid credit scene was amazing!

It was a very silly scene, yes. 😂 And yesssss! Fab credits scene.

I adore this movie, Iman Vellani is such a gem. Having her and Brie and Teyonah all together was pure magic for me. Yeah the cats and the singing world were silly choices but at least it's in the vein of fun and not just straight up cringe like Thor 4

Yeah, not as many eye-rolling humor moments in this one, that's for sure!

Marvel really dropped the ball on the Cosmic storylines in Marvel. Don't get me wrong this movie is a improvement over the Captain Marvel film and the team dynamics really help flesh out the real Carol personality but I feel the main plot and villain were not very interesting. Also the lack of any acknowledgement of Secret Invasion's events really made the series a waste. Carol was friends with the Skrulls and would care about Talos death but no mention from Fury just dumb Cat flerken jokes. Think about this the Movies have done a pretty decent job of setting up the Skrull side of the story and Agents of shield has set up the Kree side and how it connects to earth. (Inhumans are failed experiments by the Kree which they wanted to help fight the Skrulls) If the People at marvel actually used what they have they could create a awesome War movie in space with real stakes for Earth if the Kree find out that inhumans live there. Kamala is inhuman in the comics (tho not confirmed in the MCU) so that would add a personal stakes for Carol as she would want to protect her as well. The Kree Skrull War in the comics is pretty big and we have enough set up to really do something in the MCU as well. It could be one movie maybe Captain Marvel 3 I don't know.

Yeah, the events of Secret Invasion being mentioned is something that would have been nice to help connect things. We go from Fury being angry and motivated, to super silly. Kree/Skrull war would be cool to see. Maaaaybe one day!
