Blocked by Paramount on August 7, 2026.

I need to vent just a little bit.

I've lost my copyright-claim-free streak with this movie series and these last three M:I's are joining the same boat that every other movie reaction that I upload to YouTube right now is in. 🙃 As Paramount is one of the most aggressive when it comes to the dispute process, to continue with my every-two-weeks schedule for these reactions, I will most likely have to place the movie logo as a watermark on the videos (like I did for ParaNorman and Seven Samurai). I really dislike doing this, but it feels more and more like an inevitability for my channel specifically if I want to share my videos on YouTube in a timely manner and be able to still earn revenue on them (which is necessary for me in my current position). I am seeing more channels adding watermarks recently, either logos or text - Diegesis and OctoKrool are two that come to mind, although James vs Cinema has been doing this for years now.

I am genuinely no longer able to re-edit to both clear claims and still put out a video that I am proud of and enjoy watching. The dispute process is something that I'm fine with doing, but those take a lot of time to go through depending on who the studio/distributor is. And I shouldn't do more than one or two videos at the same time because there is always the risk of channel strikes (and once you have three at the same time, your channel goes bye-bye).

Myself and other reactors agree that the Content ID system on YouTube has gone through a massive shift within the last couple of months - it feels like much stronger detection of copyrighted work in videos. For my videos, the claimed timestamps add up to basically the entire length of the reaction, save for anywhere between 2 - 10 minutes of it. On the Fallout reaction, there is around 30 minutes of the 40 minute reaction claimed, but it's not one 30 minute section, it's ten different sections that add up to 30 minutes and the claim-free sections are between 15 - 180 seconds long.

If I proceed with the dispute process for the last three M:I movies, it will be successful and I can release the videos as I want to. Sadly, each video will take between 3 - 3.5 weeks to go through that process and it has to be done one at a time as Paramount always issues a strike on the channel. So Fallout would be shared on YouTube the first week of December, Dead Reckoning around New Years Day, and Final Reckoning during the last week of January.

I struggle with what direction to choose and this feels like a decision I have to make with every video now. Obviously, I did not expect all of this when I came back from my time off and I am feeling a big weight about how to balance and prioritize my time. It's why I still haven't shared most of the edits that were completed for me back in September, because when new videos that I want to release now are also blocked, they become the priority for me to work on. This has just been a lot, by far the worst I've dealt with since starting. I'll be discussing this a little in the weekly schedule tomorrow as I have made a decision to abandon a YouTube schedule entirely, which also includes a schedule for early access releases.

Alright, thanks for listening/reading. Please enjoy the Fallout edit and I really appreciate your support here. 😊❤️

PS. While I'm here, the Thunderbolts release on YouTube can't happen for another month. 🙃 Long story short, I thought it was good this week but then I got hit with an audio claim on it and let me tell you, I think audio-only claims on sections of the movie that only have character dialogue and no score is 10x worse than what I normally deal with.

Do what you need to, to preserve your channel and sanity. Like you said, majority of channels are going through it right now. We know the passion you hold for your content and fans and stand behind whatever decision you make.

Fallout though, great reaction. Still ranks as my favorite and after countless viewings that bathroom fight scene is still 🤌
