Just started this season a couple days ago. What a fun show. It really is quite a creative kind of thing. Can see why The Youngs are so into it. Still distracted by all the references and easter eggs, but can appreciate the original things more this time around. Really charming cast.

I agree. It's creative and unique, but also nostalgic for many. Back in 1983 (when Season 1 took place), my Dad was the age that Steve Harrington is in that first season. So a lot of the set designs and outfits took him back and he really enjoyed the show (he also loves a good supernatural mystery). He's only ever watched the first season though - I don't know if he considered it so perfect that he didn't want to continue with the rest, but I've been trying to get him to catch up and he still hasn't. 😅

For me I think I stopped watching a few years ago because I was never quite sure if it was meant to be a kids' show or not. And I had a hard time latching onto the plot because all I could see were the nostalgic things from other movies and tv and books. Definitely some literal shot for shot references in there. But it's fun getting back into it. The story has kicked up a few notches.
