What a violent episode. 😂 Just needs a bit (lot) more blood and it'd be feeling like The Punisher. 😉

Enjoy the reaction! I mentioned in this review that I intended to watch more episodes. Unfortunately, my Micro HDMI to HDMI cable that connects my camera into my PC for recording decided to break right before I sat to record the next episodes. 🫠 I have ordered two now (in case this happens again, now I have a backup), but this does mean that I didn't get to any of the other episodes. Womp womp.

Gruesome end to Ruby, who was probably one of the most disliked "Villains" in the show. I agree that the second half of the season spends a bit to much time with them. It is pretty boring to watch basically a teenage rebellion but I think Ruby is supposed to represent a Daisy who didn't have a good support system around her. Daisy saying she could have been a good agent seems to indicate her seeing herself in Ruby. It would feel a bit personal when Yoyo killed her instead of helping her like Daisy tried to. But this is another morally grey situation. The right choice isn't clear cut because Ruby wasn't the only one in her head. Her actions suggested that she was no longer fully in control of her mind and the power she had was to dangerous to ignore. I would like to point out Yoyo used her speed to kill her and she was already in so much pain from doing so which means she had to think it needed to be done and did it impulsively but there is also the fact that Ruby cut her arms off which would fuel her anger is also part of it. Very morally grey.

Forgot how violent her death was, pretty crazy for a network ABC show. But was it vengeance or saving the world. I first saw the actor of Talbot on the show Heroes he was a fun character on that show as well, but my heart goes out too him what he went through to the point of almost shooting himself :( I don't think Daisy was even close to getting through too Ruby she was to far gone. Almost forgot Creel, he's always been one of my favorite on and off again, antihero characters sucks seeing him to the point of wanting to live but also bashing his own head to rid the voices.

Remember that all Kree aren't blue. Mar-Vell, Yon-Ragg (sp?) and Korath (all in Captain Marvel with Korath also being in GotG) were all not blue. In the comics the human skin toned ones were called Pink Kree and, I think, they're in the minority of their society. I think they may be sturdier (slightly stronger, etc.) than blue Kree, but I'm not completely sure. Might be the other way around. Point being, that guy Hale talks to might be Kree.

I was honestly surprised when Creel said outright that Hall wanted revenge on Quinn - I was under the impression that it was only implied by the end scene a couple of episodes ago and otherwise left open to interpretation. Not sure if I subconsciously remembered it, or thought that it was the only reason that made sense - either way, apologies again. Robin seeing Talbot render Polly unconscious in such a violent way would definitely be traumatic for a normal child, but it's difficult to gauge how it affected her. From her reaction (or rather lack thereof) we can infer that she's already seen it happen in her mind, so I guess the question becomes does having foreknowledge that it was going to happen ease the trauma somehow? I suppose it depends on whether she's also seen her mother after that moment - if she knows she survived that assault, then I guess that might make it seem less traumatic to her. Something else to consider there though is that she must have already seen other traumatic events - we know for a fact that Robin has already seen her own death as we've seen her drawing of that (it was the last drawing she did before she stopped whilst in hiding), and Polly has said she knows she's not in a number of Robin's drawings, which implies Robin has also seen her death - so perhaps she's simply become inured to witnessing trauma, which is pretty depressing. Ruby is dead - unfortunately I can't say I care all that much. Not sure if it's the writing or Dove Cameron's portrayal, but there wasn't really anything all that compelling about the character - I can see some potential there, but it didn't really go anywhere. Having not seen Dove Cameron in anything else, I don't really have a basis for what I'm about to say, but I suspect she was more of a 'stunt' casting rather than someone chosen for their suitability for the role - my reasoning for that is that her casting was advertised well before the second half of S5 started airing, and given that I know she's a Disney Channel alumni it seems likely that she was supposed to boost ratings. I wouldn't surprise me if casting her (or someone like her) was part of the agreement to get S5 in the first place. Yo-Yo killing Ruby is questionable to say the least. It does make some sense - if Ruby is the Destroyer of Worlds, then killing her is a sure-fire way of preventing what is to come, but then the evidence of it being her is patchy at best. Personally, I think Yo-Yo was more focussed on revenge, and is using 'saving the world' to retroactively justify her actions. I also feel that Yo-Yo and FitzSimmons (to a slightly lesser extent) are behaving a lot like 'Real SHIELD' did in S2 - convinced that their opinion is correct, selectively interpreting events to reinforce that and ignoring anything that doesn't fit that view. That they might be missing context - which they should know is the case, given that Future Yo-Yo didn't explain herself and Robin's 'prophecies' are proving to be incomplete in much the same way as Raina's and her father's were - doesn't seem to occur to them. Quick clarification - the extra people at the base were reinforcements called in by Hale's assistant after Ivanov was killed, as they no longer had active Mech's to patrol the base
