Coming This Week (Patreon)

Hello everyone! 👋🏻☃️ Apparently we've reverted back to fall here in Alberta. There are double digit temperatures in some places, the snow is melting so fast, skiers and snowboarders are sobbing, and I'm feeling much too warm when I have my coat on. 😅 This seems to be very temporary, so I should enjoy it while we have it.

If my reaction to Inside Out 2 hasn't appeared yet today (as this is a scheduled post), it will be shared not long after this!

While there is no graphic for YouTube reactions this week, I'll be sharing the last two episodes of Band of Brothers, hopefully the first episode of Fallout Season 2, and then whatever movie(s) that I am able to share. The edits for Christmas movie reactions will be shared early for YouTube members this week and will release to the public next week.

For new movie reactions here on Patreon, I'll be sharing The Princess Bride (1987) [KL's Choice], A Quiet Place: Part II (2020) [Movie Series], and I, Robot (2004) [Viewer's Choice].

I was originally going to share another Christmas movie reaction this week for my choice, but I decided to swap it last minute for The Princess Bride, upon hearing of the passing of Rob Reiner and his wife - may they both rest in peace. 🙏🏻 (Don't worry, that other reaction will still be coming! Next week.) A Quiet Place: Part II might seem like an odd movie choice right now, but I did say that I wanted to watch more horror during the year. And to be fair, the first movie hasn't left my brain since I watched it last year and I want more of that world. Finally, I, Robot won Christopher Simeon's Member of the Month poll! I think this poll has the closest results of all options that we've ever had in the history of my Patreon page. 😅 Christopher, you get to wear that badge proudly!

Before you ask, I've definitely noted the other two movies to react to at some point in the future, especially seeing how excited many of you were about Palm Springs having the potential to get a reaction. Thank you to everyone who voted! 🥰

For TV watchalong reactions, we return to The Wasteland this week with the first episode of Season 2 of Fallout. 🤘🏻 Like Season 1, I will be editing these reactions for YouTube. And I'm still continuing through S5 of Stranger Things (Chapter Four: The Sorcerer) and S5 of Agents of SHIELD (Episode 19: Option Two + Episode 20: The One Who Will Save Us All).

Twitch Update

I made an announcement in my Discord server last week and I should post that here too. I've decided that it's time to say goodbye to my Twitch journey for good. This will happen after I finish my Red Dead Redemption 2 playthrough, but there won't be a set schedule for the rest of that. Instead, there will be longer streams of it when I can fit those in, until the game is done (and I'm prioritizing this to be completed sooner rather than later). My next RDR2 stream will be this Sunday Dec 21 for around 5 hours. I will eventually update the gaming channel on YouTube with the rest of my playthrough. (Note that my run of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which is also in-progress, is continuing offline.)

My motivation to stream consistently has been pretty rocky since mid-summer and I'm deeply sorry for this. I feel the same as I did when I stepped away from Twitch the first time (which I thought was permanent, but then I missed it after one year and came back). I'm realizing now that I do need to close the chapter for good and learn how to enjoy video games when it's for me and my eyes only.

I know that for years, lots of people have been patiently waiting for me to get to certain games to see what I think of them. Hopefully this change means that I can actually game more consistently overall and thus make progress faster since there isn't a stream to setup or people to talk to while I play. As I make my way through games, I will talk about them in my Discord server.

I appreciate anyone and everyone who ever hung out in the streams. 🥰 It was a really fun time in my life with such strong memories. Thank you! I hope to see you during some of the end of my RDR2 journey.

That's about all I have to say for this week! There are 9 days until Christmas Eve and I still have so much to do - not just reaction related, but also personal gifts and such! I am trying to keep myself cool and not stress about it. 😎
