It’s definitely uncomfortable cuz of the bickering. There’s plenty of blame to go around in that department. But I digress. Aside from the fact that Infinity War happened to premiere on my birthday, the little nod about Thanos was another reason I was so glad I went to check it out on opening weekend. No matter how much relevance this has at this point and no matter what anyone says about the remainder of this show, all seven seasons will continue to remain canon within the same dimension.

Talbot looks to be becoming the villain 🙁. So you're correct that it's a comic book costume. Normally, all I'd say is that his comic book name was hinted at last episode, but since I know you're not reading these comments until the season is done (and you therefore know it's not explicitly said in the show) I'm OK with telling you his comic book name - this costume is that of Graviton, which we briefly saw last episode (on the box that had held the Gravitonium, which when we last saw it had the 'ium' covered by Remorath blood). From what I know of the comics, Talbot is a (rather deep-cut) character, but he's not Graviton - that is Dr Franklin Hall alone, so AoS is putting their own spin on it here. With all the bickering, whilst I have some sympathy for Yo-Yo's position, I find it hard to be on her side. She's taking others to task for not doing what she wants when she hasn't actually told them anything - how can that be anything other than her fault? The scene with Daisy and Deke is sweet, and helps put some extra justification on why she's so hell-bent on saving Coulson. She's experienced a lot in her life - not just the physical trauma that I touched on after The Devil Complex, but also her experience of being constantly rejected from foster families as she was growing up, as well as a significant amount of loss that she (rightly or wrongly) attributes to herself: Trip, Cal, Jiaying & Lincoln being the most obvious examples. Losing her father figure, who's she's said is the closest thing to family is likely too much to her to countenance. There are some who ship Deke and Daisy, but it's not a pairing that really appealed to me - feels too much of the 'they hate each other, so they must get together' trope. Mack annoys me this episode. Not so much how he's treating Yo-Yo - I think that's mostly understandable (and frankly, deserved to an extent) - but how he's carrying that attitude across to everyone. He seems to be retreating into what can only be described as a childish black/white good/evil world view - now yes, there are some things that can be described as explicitly evil, but on the whole the world isn't that simple, and he has enough experience and intelligence to know that. Also, telling Fitz to his face that he needs fixing cannot possibly help anyone (least of all Fitz, who has been struggling with that anyway), and the hypocrisy of using the *Bible* to justify what is right/wrong really pisses me off (as do all religious justifications TBF).

I love the new evil Talbot's power set, he is scary for sure, and the hints of events too Infinity War and Thanos in the show made me so happy. There is an animated series of Avengers movies/shows that came out a long time ago I remember seeing Graviton in those he was a fun character for sure.

The character’s name is Graviton. But Glenn Talbot is a different character in the comics. Glenn is a Major who’s General Ross’ right hand(The military General who chases after the Hulk and becomes Red Hulk) Talbot was also married to Betty Ross, Bruce’s love interest for a while, but his hatred and obsession with the Hulk caused his marriage to fall apart, and Talbot died trying to kill the Hulk

Both S6 & S7 are half seasons because they wanted to be able to make their budget for each episode twice the normal. It, obviously, doesn't exactly distribute that way, of course. S5 was thought to be the final season because ABC hadn't notified them that they were picking it up for other seasons and Marvel Studios was cancelling all their Marvel Television shows. Don't know how ABC was convinced to give them a couple of seasons to truly come to and end. Maybe the fans? The showrunners tried to make this season a good stopping point in case it wasn't picked up, even though Marvel Studios wouldn't even give them details of Infinity War nor Endgame. It's why they only mention Thanos and NYC (which is right at the beginning of Infinity War). One of the things that I liked about this season, even though there's a lot of division and picking sides of our characters, is that the conflict is all earned. All their positions make sense considering the characters' individual personalities and the experiences and traumas they've all endured.
