The drugs and rehab were mentioned in Trish's past in S1 yes, I assume a lot of what pushed her to it was because of the childhood experience her mom made her endure. What hits me really hard is seeing how happy Jessica was here and in her flashbacks in S1... she's always been quippy, a little prickly, and sassy but a sweetheart under it all, it's very sad to see how much she went through and how it's forged her to become someone who still embodies all that but in a more abrasive fashion. After everything that's happened here and especially after what she went through with Kilgrave, she is more negative now but it's not really a surprise considering all that... but yet through all of that we still see it shine through in some scenes current day, as well as her yearning for something heartwarming like her scenes with Luke and Oscar... as well as her heroism which may not be traditional but still remains very firmly within her.

Origins of so many things. The name of Jessica's detective agency, Her Jacket, and her desire to be a hero protecting Trish from herself. This experience and Kilgrave definitely caused so much Trauma but she still has the desire to protect people even if she acts like she doesn't.
