Sorry I'm late on this. I only realized that I hadn't watched this yet after you posted the new one. I didn't think the truth serum was affecting all of the people, I thought they were all crying because they were caught between two things (trying to please Carol and sticking to their "biological imperative"). They couldn't reconcile the two things and Carol kept asking and they couldn't answer, so they just kept saying "Please, Carol," to try to get her to stop asking. The physical effects of the truth serum was only happening to Zosia and (I saw a comment before saying) she was recovering from surgery and Carol isn't a medical professional, so the dosage she looked up was for someone in good health and her size and age? Maybe? Point is, Carol gave her too much for her weakened state.
