Now that I've seen a couple of the movies he's starred in, it's time to watch one that he directed. I have only seen one of his movies before the reaction channel and that is Sully (2016) - and I didn't know that he was the director for it until right now. 😅

This poll is multiple choice - please vote for all the ones you'd like to see a reaction to, because while I'll only watch the top voted movie, the results of this poll will give me an idea of which of his other movies people are interested in too.

The movies picked for this poll are a mix of what has been suggested through my Suggestion Form and what I chose. This poll will close at the end of day on Sunday.

Happy Voting!

Changeling is on my list to request on reactr so I kind of hope it wins 😆

Two other great movies that Clint directed (and Stared) in Pale Rider (1985) and FireFox (1982)

A lot left out...but he has very many much movies...ibhave a soft spot for baseball movies so "trouble with the curve" but "dirty harry" "The mule" "American Sniper" but Clint eastwood has a good long list spanning decades it would take a while to watch em all... whatever wins, it will be good and I know I won't complain...

Steve Mercier

Million Dollar Baby or Gran Torino will probably win this...and, honestly, there's not much on here that's not top-tier spectacular...but Unforgiven is both my favorite Western and my favorite Clint Eastwood movie, so motherfucking Unforgiven all the motherfucking way.

Vincent Hollow

Oh, so you're the other person who's seen Changeling. Thought it was just me this whole time. 😅

I didn't want the poll to be all 40-some movies that he's directed, especially when most of them have not been suggested on my form. Dirty Harry was not directed by him, so that's why that's not on here.

Clint Eastwood as a director knows how to tell a story. Outlaw Josey Wales is my favorite Eastwood-directed western, even more than his masterpiece Unforgiven. I voted Outlaw Josey Wales, Unforgiven, Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby, Letters from Iwo Jima, Mystic River, The Bridges of Madison County.

We got alot to look forward to then. 'Oh no, it cant be! You mean to say we get to watch even more good movies? and there are too many to choose from? How could it get any worse!?!?' ... What a great problem to have haha. There is no wrong answer to this list really. I can't imagine a bad reaction to any one of em...still loving the content. Thx K!!!

It's crazy that I could make a decision to only react to movies that Clint Eastwood has acted in and directed and I'd be able to still keep movie reactions going for like a year and a half. 😅 That man has done so much.

Since neither of these are looking likely to win the poll, no worries, but for future reference: The Dirty Harry series is Dirty Harry (1971), Magnum Force (1973), The Enforcer (1976), Sudden Impact (1983), and The Dead Pool (1988). Obviously, you won't want to start with the fourth movie. Also, while it probably matters much less than the above (and in fact, may not matter at all), Flags of Our Fathers (2006) and Letters From Iwo Jima (2006) are a duology, released in that order. I only saw Flags, and I saw it in theaters in 2006, so I can't say for certain, but my expectation is that unlike the Dirty Harry series, these are not traditional "sequels" so much as two films that are counterparts to each other, and as such you could watch them in either order. In any case, it's probably worth knowing that they are two halves of a whole so that if you do choose to watch them or one wins a poll you can plan on both, or at least expect that you will want to follow up with the other.

*Letters from Iwo Jima (2006). I may be in minority, but I suggest to watch Letters first. Yet, as you say, really doesn't matter. I like Letters better than Flags. While companion movies, could watch Flags anytime after watching Letters.

Thanks Tyler. I didn't look closely enough at the movies to realize that that any of them belonged to a series.

Yeah, and of course Dirty Harry is a rare series where the titles aren't numbered or serialized in any way, so no shock that this happened. Although there are so many Clint directorial efforts, and a sort of unique poll like this, who knows if you'd do this again or some other Clint-related idea, but one suggestion if you do bring this back at some point would be to include Play Misty For Me (1971), which was his directorial debut.

The 4 westerns (all great) that Eastwood directs/stars are: 1. High Plains Drifter (1973) 2. The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) (my favorite) 3 Pale Rider (1985) (highest grossing western of the 1980s) 4. Unforgiven (1992) Glad two made it into the poll, and one may win. As you indicated below, Eastwood directed 40 or so movies.

I love Dirty Harry (1971) [Siegel] but not a huge fan of the 4 sequels (Siegel not director). Though, many like the sequels (part of our pop culture). Sudden Impact (1983) definitely received a lot of attention when released. I remember. I liked it ok. Has the most enduring catchphrase – fans associate with the Dirty Harry franchise. Another good collaboration between Don Siegel and Eastwood is ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ (1979) [RT 97%] (directed by Siegel) (Eastwood as lead actor, not director). One of my favorite Eastwood movies. Watched many times over the last 40 years. As you may know, Alcatraz Island is 1.25 mile offshore from San Francisco.
