Appreciate you doing this. Being able turn the layer “on/off” really helps me see the direct impact of having her makeup applied. What a difference it makes to her appearance and aura! With the red from her makeup and gold trim on Rangi’s armor, they share a little color. 🙂 Kinda random, but I really like the way you draw Kyoshi’s gloved hands.

I'm glad you liked it! Since it's official canon that Kyoshi struggled to hide her emotions early in her Avatarhood, I always want to see how her makeup can work with too😩 Also, yes! Gloves! After reading the books, it gave me a clear picture of her charming points and why her gloves are so important—I didn't fully grasp that either before diving into the series🥹

Man I can really go into this in depth lol. “Armor” (and makeup) is not just armor in this story. It represents a lot of things on very personal levels to the characters. It’s a huge part of her journey and development. Going alllll the way back to the beginning of TROK where she was so adamant about putting concealer on her face.
