Actually, I think my soul just experienced this family's glorious pride. 🥹🥹 I love them so much that I don't need to know anything beyond what this illustration is already shouting at me: two parents whose love never wavers under the weight of parenthood, and three little souls overflowing with personality and life. It's so sweet to see how fiercely Kyoshi's genes fought their way through—only barely giving ground to the second-born, I assume. Especially her freckles; they're absolutely beautiful sprinkled across each of the children's faces like undying stars. That said, your linework is as impeccable as ever. The balance between the crispness of it and the softness of the colors is so perfectly tuned that it's impossible to look away, and every expression feels exactly like a real toddler being told to sit still. My heart can't support this much happiness. Pure poetry. 💯✨ And the tiny detail of the youngest reaching for Rangi's hairpin is just so adorable. Not to mention how much I love that you subtly evolved Rangi's outfit to reflect the passing of the years. It's such a thoughtful touch. I absolutely love that Rangi has to carry a child who's practically half her size because Kyoshi is already holding the other two. They're such wonderful mothers. 🤧💞

It means a lot— thank you !! 🤧 won't forget to send you an invitation if it ever happens. 🫡 I also love the idea that Jesa's Air Nomad features—a part of herself Kyoshi probably never remembered with much fondness—become something she can finally see through Rangi's lovestruck eyes and cherish more than anything. There's something bittersweet about that, but also deeply healing, as though it lets her lay an old resentment to rest. As for Hei-Ran, I suppose she'll have to settle for watching her one and only carbon copy flourish within a family built on the very love she nurtured. I adore that her sternness never diminishes the immense devotion she and Rangi share. Fire nations Mothers ✨🥵 And I have to say it again: the toddlers's body language and expressions are phenomenal. Each of them, in their own little way, is trying to reach one parent—or both. Some look completely bewildered, others perfectly content. I love them all. 💯🥹✨

You’ve gone and done an adorable thing, Chef. What a lovely portrait of their no-so-little family! I imagine a loving but slightly chaotic household with all the kiddos running around. This really opens up so many questions. From their expressions (eyes in particular) and body language alone, it paints a narrative of 3 very distinct personalities. Freckles give off the feeling that they spend a lot of time running around under the sun. Something I grew up doing, same results lol. I love that Rangi is holding the one who most resembles Kyoshi—they all do, really. Middle kiddo seems to take after Rangi the most, giving off a sharper look and a cocked eyebrow with a slight feel of defiance. Perhaps a troublemaker…or inherited a…stronger personality? Young kids naturally grab onto things, and you’ve accurately reflected that in her grasping mom’s hairpin, cutely. I appreciate the details you’ve added everywhere. From the fade of white makeup down Kyoshi’s neck, the traditional Korean style ribbon tied at the end of right child’s braid, to the thin green sash around Rangi’s waist that subtly screams “I belong to Kyoshi”. And can we talk about how you’ve incorporated the mature change in Rangi’s body that came with motherhood?? Heck. All that horse stance training has been a prelude to being able to squat/bend down low enough to scoop her kids off the ground. I’m sure Rangi takes pity and helps pass them over to Kyoshi now and then.😆 Kids can’t wait until they’re tall enough to hold Kyoshi’s hand.

I finished re-reading the books again and now I am in a loop of wiki information and was thinking abot Koko and this lovely pic you made and, since you are authority on Rangshi XD, I would like to know what is your theory about her (And these other cutíes). I have read theories about Kyoshi having a partner after Rangi because she lived way longer, it doesnt make any sense to me. As Kyoshi has thought many times, Rangi was the love of her life and she would stop being human if she lost her. She learnt the power of extending her life and I absolutely believe she would have taught Rangi for sure so they could be more time together. Due to Kyoshi's orphan past I think it´s most likely that she adopted the little one at Rangi's surprise XD, and well since those times seem to be very Little open minded, the History books would just name Koko as Kyoshi's daughter, just as many of them mention Rangi as her bodyguard. Then I just imagine them being like the best mothers ever, I pitty to decides to pick on Koko hahaha. Then, After those 200 years passed... I think that Rangi being as true believer of the Avatar and the cycle as she was, she would talk to Kyoshi when it ws time to have another avatar born... I am not sure about why Kyoshi decided to die at that age, so this is my head canon... Sorry about long message! But I'd love yo know your opinion about this.
