UPDATE: Part 1 of the video has been filmed. Feel free to keep asking questions. I'll film Part 2 with all remaining questions after I post the finale. Final deadline for questions is May 30th!

Hi friendssssss, it's finally (almost) Q&A time! I plan on watching the Buffy S3 finale next week so you guys have until next Thursday morning (April 29th) to submit any questions you'd like me to answer in part 1 of my S3 Q&A video.

As a reminder, I'll do another Q&A video after posting the S3 finale video (around mid-April) where you guys can ask any questions after watching the finale reaction. I just like doing Part 1 of my Q&A before starting S4 (and Angel!!!!). I'll be leaving this pinned until I finish Season 3 :)

Early on in your Buffy journey, you were hesitant to get on board with the Buffy/Angel romance because you felt that “Buffy was the love of Angels life but Buffy didn’t love him the same.” (Paraphrasing) Now that you’ve seen their story, has your opinion of their love story changed?

Jonathan Bruser

Hello there! Just found your youtube channel recently and eagerly became a Patron. I know you weren't a fan of 'Bangel' early on, but that changed when you reached the point where Buffy and Angel actually became an item. I know that you know about Spuffy, which hasn't happened yet between Buffy and Spike? But what is your opinion on my favorite ship in the series, which is more of a fanon thing than a canon thing, but what about Fuffy: The Chosen Two as a couple? There may not have been anything explicit, but I like to think that there was a ton of subtext that was entirely visible. Was just hoping to get your thoughts on this potential pairing, if it happened in another universe or another time or something of the sort? Or even if you decided to read a Buffy fanfic, would you be interested in reading about a Buffy/Faith pairing?

Three seasons in, I am curious as to what, if anything, you may have learnt about script writing. Alternatively there may have simply been things which you knew but have been reinforced.

What did you think of Wes when compared to the Wes that you knew from Angel?

Ron Fehr

Knowing that you had already met Cordelia on Angel, did you think that this version of her was much different?

Carl

I've been wanting to ask you this for a while, but the introduction of Wes has pushed me over the edge. How do you think your character rankings would be different, had you not seen the last seasons of Angel first? Impossible to know for sure obviously, but I think it's fun to think about. Watching your reaction from season 1 on, Cordelia is the first character I think of. I vividly remember watching season 1 when first aired my thoughts were, (wow this girl is HOT! But what a BITCH!). Also are there any characters that may have been higher on your list?

Considering how different certain characters were in Buffy, namely Cordelia, Wes, and Faith. How do you think your view of them has changed since learning their origins in Buffy?

In Kendra and Faith we've seen two extremely different slayers. Buffy is somewhat in between (though arguably more towards Faith). What do you think the "average" slayer is like - more Kendra, or more Faith?

Ron Fehr

While Consequences clearly showed some tension between Buffy and Faith, did you have any sense that this might happen? Also, do you think that Faith's attitude towards slaying might have been different, had her original watcher not been killed? Would her views have been more like Buffy's, a duty to protect people instead of just being able to lash out whenever she felt like it?

Bri

I get there's a lot to love about Cordy, especially in the later evolutions of her character. But whenever I watch the high school years of Buffy, I'm reminded of an inescapable fact. Even though we understand that some of Cordy's behaviours are coping mechanisms, (being a kid and a teen-ager is tough) she really does appear to enjoy many of the cruel comments she flings around. There's still many qualities to admire (her honesty, her bravery), she was also a bully, and did a lot of harm, both to Willow and Xander and to others. Cordy talks to Willow about the ethics of boyfriend stealing, but do you think Willow ever really owed Cordelia much of anything, really, given their history? I'm not arguing the W&X thing wasn't weird, it was, and wrong (it was, W owed Oz something, and X owed Cordy something)

Ron Fehr

This may be off topic for season three, but I'd like your opinion. I hope that you know Alyson Hannigan.was not the first person to play Willow. There was an unaired pilot episode with a different actress in the role. My question is, do you think that Willow's character would have gone in a different direction with another actress?

Bud Haven

When you were recording Innocence, you said that you had wished Buffy and Angel would stop kissing and actually talked more, but not like this. Then while reviewing Consequences you mentioned that you hoped that Faith would be more part of the story line, but also not like this. Buffy is great at creating story line desires and then fulfilling them in the worst possible way. So, what do you hope for in Season 4?

zerofk

I know you like all the couples in this show and I'm wondering which of the following, both real and not, would be your favourite couple? Cordelia/Xander, Cordelia/Wesley, Cordelia/Buffy, Buffy/Faith, Wesley/Giles, Willow/Xander, Wesley/Xander (yes I excluded Willow/Oz and Buffy/Angel on purpose)

R J Walker (FumblesMcStupid)

So, imagine it had been Wes (circa Bad Girls) who showed up in the first episode instead of Giles, how do you think that would have gone? How'd he have got on with Buffy? How would his character look now in season 3? Would we have got Wesley and Jenny? How do you feel about that? I know you remember next to nothing from Angel 😉 but from what you do remember, how do you think his character would have been different if he'd started on btvs?

R J Walker (FumblesMcStupid)

So, you can only have one of them, which do you chose? Cordy, Fred, Faith or Jenny? *evil laughter* 😜

Ron Fehr

Do you think that Buffy will have any regrets about quitting the Watchers' council? How do you think she'll handle things, considering that Giles is no longer her Watcher? Has she bitten off more than she can chew?

Ron Fehr

Now that Angel is gone, do you think Buffy will try to find romance elsewhere, or is she too scarred by his departure to even think about it? Of course I know the answer, but I want to hear your thoughts.

R J Walker (FumblesMcStupid)

Follow up question - how did you feel about the differences (or similarities) between the 'normal' verse and the Wishverse characters? What do you think this tells us about their personalities in the 'normal' verse, if anything? Plus, we never saw her, but do you think the Wishverse Cordelia that everybody knew there was similar or different from our Cordelia? (if you feel like you already answered most of these just do Cordy because I don't think you talked about that)

R J Walker (FumblesMcStupid)

Random: What sort of animals are Buffy, Giles, Xander, Willow, Cordy, Oz, Faith, Angel (obviously the mayor is a giant snake ;D). Bonus if you're up for it - Spike, Dru, Jenny, Snyder, Joyce

R J Walker (FumblesMcStupid)

If you had to be stuck in lockdown with one of the characters who would you chose and why AND what one thing about them would eventually drive you insane :)
