Ron, same. For me this is only an okay episode. I don't hate it, but I don't like it very much either.

I actually really like this episode, its one of my favourite Monster of the week episodes of Angel season 1. I love the twist at the end of the boy being the real monster because he has no soul, and that he even scared the demon.

An interesting twist on an adaptation of the Exorcist but not one of the best Angel episodes; the whole "accidentally calling Wes Doyle" was good as it shows that Doyle's death is still something that Angel's hurting about & it also helps to reinforce the idea that there's a lot more grey areas than just the black & white good & evil approaches.

Yes, I suppose you WOULD remember the last demon possession story line, poor Miss Weekend :'( That one wasn't as scary though I do like this one, particularly the little bit of Wesley info. And the Doyle mention :'(

I love the twist that the boy was actually the one doing the evil deeds, not the demon. In a show where demons are metaphors for the evils we do to eachother (okay that's more Buffy than AtS, but still) it makes for an interesting idea that a human can sometimes be worse than a demon. Sorry about not warning you for the horror. Here's an advance warning: both Angel and Buffy will scare you, make you laugh, make you cry, and generally give you exactly what you want in the worst ways possible.

I'm like you, Domi. In fact I reuse to watch any horror movies. I made that mistake before. The only reason I watched this is because I like your reactions and comments.

Another reactor that I may have mentioned to you, Domi, has made an effort to watch horror movies. Her channel is ReelReviewsWithJen, and she always mentions her aversion to the horror genre. Her tastes run towards older movies, although not always, so some of them are not well known. A side note- she also does weekly Buffy reactions.

As Alley would say..F* them kids! So sorry there was no warning...but you got through the episode! And you had the perfect timing for a Halloween episode. I also hate horror so I totally understand! But I surprisingly really like this episode...for me it was the Doyle acknowledgment and the Wes&Angel moments. The twist with the kid not having a soul was genius. Amazing reaction as always!
