"I want them to do more Angel flashbacks." *Reels in shock* Never thought I'd hear you say that, haha. But yeah, some of the flashbacks are really good. With this episode you can see the parallels between Angel (Liam) and his father and Kate and her dad.

You have no idea how happy it made me to hear you say that you liked the flashbacks! I remember in the beginning of your reactions you said that you didn't enjoy them when you first watched Angel and that made me sad because I love the flashbacks so much. They are just so cool and they give us the needed backstory for Angel while drawing parallels to the present day. Poor Katie...You and Alley had almost identical reaction to Kate this episode. She is often underappreciated so I'm very glad you and Alley like her. And you also got Darla back! But probably not the way you wanted...

Poor Kate. This was not a good episode for her. I love the quote "Your victory over him took but moments. But his defeat of you will last lifetimes." Yes, Angel's name is a shout-out to the Liams. Wait 'til you get to the character named Domi.

Becoming part1, the season 2 finale, was the episode where we saw the first Angelus/Angel flashbacks and Darla siring him. We also saw him getting his soul, tormenting Drusilla and finally seeing Buffy for the first time.

Although it's never clearly stated, as near as I can tell, I think the presumption is that the vampires were indeed a part of Wolfram and Hart, further trying to cement the idea that they have their grubby tentacles (metaphorically speaking) involved in almost all aspects of the LA underworld

Angel's human name was Liam. Spike's was William. Quite similar. I wonder if that was intentional.

Liam is actually an Irish version of William. So it's basically the same name, just a regional variation. Whether intentional or not, I don't know.

I had a feeling that the names were connected. It kind of makes sense. Liam was from Ireland, and William, I think, was English.
