Hey friends,

I was thinking of eventually branching out my channel a bit (I'll keep the same schedule with Buffy/Angel don't worry). I've never done a movie reaction before, so I was wondering what types of movies/specific movies would you like me to react to?

Leave your suggestions below! Hopefully hearing some feedback about what interests you guys might help an indecisive libra pick a movie for when I have free time :)

Thank youuuuuuu, Domi ♡

GaveUp

Cabin in the Woods (I’m sure you couldn’t have predicted this).

Domi E

Okay, so... Everybody except for GaveUp... SUGGESTIONS?

Domi E

On a serious note, the fact that I'm actually tempted to do it because of Amy Acker is a little sad.

Miah

Cruel Intentions

Domi E

Ohhh would be so fun! That one’s been on my list for a while because of SMG :D

Shaun Stacy

I think you would like these: Booksmart (coming of age comedy) The Old Guard (Netflix female action movie) Practical Magic (Witchy rom-com) Love, Simon (queer rom-com) Bring It On (cheerleader comedy w/ Eliza Dushku)

Nicholas J Hoover

The Host (2013) romance drama sci Fi, enemy mine sci-fi dystopian buddy story, edge of tomorrow sci Fi action existential story.

Horror Scream - If you didn't watch the Screm horror movie series I'll recommend that however. If you didn't watch the series and decided to then, I'll recommend watching the first Friday the 13th movie to not get yourself spoiled. Halloween 1978 Romance/Dance/Music - Dirty Dancing 1987 Suspense - Final Destination franchise. The Butterfly Effect By watching your reactions to the 24 tv series it seems you expect twist and turns from things so I'll also recommend Knives Out! Terffic movie. Superhero: "Superman the Movie: 1978" & Superman II Christmas : Die Hard & Home Alone Subtitles Requirement: Train to Busan & Beauty & the Beast 1946

Rachel Espiritu

We're all just here to recommend lots and lots of horror, right?

Rachel Espiritu

Not sad at all, Cabin in the Woods is a great movie, and Amy's not the only Whedonverse alum with a role in it.

ADDButterfly

Psychological thrillers/Suspense are my favorite types. Cloverfield Paradox, Jacobs Ladder, Event Horizon, Escape Room.

Negative

The Contrabulous Fabtraption of Professor Horatio Hufnagel, starring Troy McClure.

Markus E.

Here are a few suggestions (in no particular order): - Life of Brian - Back to the Future Trilogy - Mad Max: Fury Road - Prestige - Gattaca - Inglorious Basterds - City of God (Cidade de Deus) - Stranger Than Fiction - The Last Unicorn

Steve Quast

Honestly, I don't know why anyone would recommend anything else.

Aaron Nasser

It should deffo be horror!!!! Nightmare on elm streets. Scream films. Halloween films.

Brendan O'Connor

What We Do In The Shadows, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Shaun of the Dead, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Bud Haven

Here are some of my favorites. Stand by Me - Heartwarming adventure Breaking Away - Small town coming of age Groundhog Day - Comedy The Usual Suspects - Crime Blood Simple - Crime Raising Arizona - Crime Comedy The Big Lebowski - Comedy Midnight Cowboy - Drama Alien/Aliens - SciFi Horror Dawn of the Dead - Zombies

Steve Quast

Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elmstreet, Alien, Aliens, The Exorcist, Child's Play, Pumpkin Head, The Conjuring.....oh wait, we're NOT supposed to be suggesting horror films??? Some of my favorite franchises that are really popular to react to right now are Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings, etc. I'm sure you may have seen most, if not all, of those, but if not feel free to consider them suggestions. I haven't seen too many reactions to The Karate Kid movies, or the Narnia movies, which I also love. If you're in more of a comedy mood: What About Bob?, Galaxy Quest, Spaceballs (mostly a parody of Star Wars, so make sure you've seen the original SW trilogy first), Ghostbusters. With Christmas coming up some obvious choices would be The Santa Claus, Miracle on 34th st, Home Alone. I don't know how many of those you've seen, but those are my suggestions for now. May add more later.

madfem

District 9 (2009) Memento (2000) Victoria (2015) The english patient (1996)

Mattisen Walter

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Practical Magic The Craft Empire Records Benny and Joon Scott Pilgrim vs. the World Harry Potter 10 Things I Hate About You Cruel Intentions 💗💗💗

Tom Tattershall

Shakespeare in Love (1998) is one of my favorite films that I've never seen anyone react to. A multiple Oscar winner including Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture. Many believe Saving Private Ryan should have won Best Picture, but Shakespeare in Love is a great movie and one of the few comedies to win Best Picture.

Ron Fehr

Dear Santa stars Amy Acker.

Ron Fehr

I'm probably one of your older patrons, so naturally I'm a fan of older movies, mostly from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Christine

Since it’s the Christmas season, I would love for you to watch one of these: It’s a Wonderful Life (the black and white version, not the colorized version) Elf A Christmas Story Other Classics: Wizard of Oz, The Goonies Horror, but not really: Lake Placid Random amazing movie that I guarantee you’ll enjoy: The Station Agent

UTU49

I would start with some of the 80's classics. Reactors in their 20's seem to really enjoy them, and the Generation-X viewers love to see young people enjoy 80's movies. Here are some of the movies that many people consider must-see movies. COMEDIC Fantasy & Sci-Fi: Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, The Princess Bride. SCIENCE-FICTION/Action/Horror: E.T., Star Wars (Start with Episodes 4, 5, 6), Terminator 1 & 2, Alien, Aliens ACTION: Die Hard ROMANTIC COMEDY: Dirty Dancing. If you haven't seen any of these, you can't go wrong with them. These are all widely beloved by audiences of all ages and generations.

UTU49

Actually Dirty Dancing is more of a coming-of-age drama, but it's a lot of fun, so it feels like it could be included with Rom Coms.

GaveUp

Generally speaking I’m not a fan of Christmas movies but it’s a wonderful life is a classic everyone should see.

UTU49

Other CHRISTMAS movies: While You Were Sleeping (really fun Rom Com) Die Hard (pretty intense Action that is also really fun) The Station Agent... is one of the movies that I could watch every day for 2 weeks.

Christine

I know, right ? Amazing movie, but not very well known. Everyone I've recommended it to ends up loving it.

Demnevanni

"V for Vendetta" is definitely one of my favorite movies so I'm just gonna leave a recommendation for it

Nica Marie

A few I haven't seen reacted to at all or only rarely. Lucas, Dream a Little Dream, Some Kind of Wonderful, The Best Man, Just Another Girl on the I.R.T., Private Benjamin, Protocol, Moscow on the Hudson, The World According to Gary, Running on Empty, I Love You to Death, River's Edge, Toy Soldiers, Hope Floats, The Long Walk Home, The Long Kiss Goodnight, The Man with One Red Shoe, Splash, Hairspray (the original with Ricki Lake and Divine). I could go on forever because movies are my thing.

Milan W.

Donnie Darko (sci-fi psychological thriller) 12 Monkeys (time travel sci-fi) Princess Mononoke (anime) Beetlejuice (probably have seen it but I thought I'd take a shot) Leon: The Professional (action thriller) Only Lovers Left Alive (vampire movie) Coherence (scifi with Xander's actor) Let The Right One In (vampire movie) Ginger Snaps (werewolf movie)

Tom Tattershall

Someone else mentioned The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996). I haven't seen any reactions to this action film starring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson.

That’s Not Acting

No one would vote for this...I request it on every reactors page I follow: Blast From The Past.

GaveUp

I do agree with Princess Mononoke but I have to say I hope domi never does it (except on her own time). Anything from Japan is a minefield on YouTube and you’re basically begging to lose your channel. Far too many reactors have lost their channel over anime, unfortunately.

Milan W.

Could just do a synced timer instead of picture-in-picture video, or post it here and not to youtube at all.

Kimberly Bellow

Oh! What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams. Repo! A Genetic Opera ( Anthony Head "Giles" is in it and it's amazing). The Rules of Attraction. Donnie Darko. Memoirs of a Geisha. Moulin Rouge. Let The Right One In... I could think of a hundred more give me a just give me a minute lol. Also, side note, I wish more people reacted to Battlestar Galactica (The Reboot) I know it's a series but it's my favorite show of all time besides Buffy/Angel and Doctor Who ❤️

Stewart Denew

A few that hopefully you'd appreciate & some somewhat less well-known; Watership Down (Classic British animation, beautiful but fair warning, has sad parts) Wallace & Gromit (there's a series of individual stories, all relatively short though & very British humour, classic stuff) Chicken Run (same makers as Wallace & Gromit, based on The Great Escape) Santa Claus the Movie (a nostalgic classic for me, has John Lithgow & Dudley Moore & hey, seasonally appropriate) The Hogfather (film-length TV adaptation of the book by Terry Pratchett, also seasonally appropriate) Monty Python & the Holy Grail/Life of Brian (absolute classic absurdist humour) If you haven't seen them already, I'd also highly recommend a few other series; Firefly (also Joss Whedon & limited to 1 season plus a film, Serenity) Avatar: The Last Airbender & Legend of Korra (utterly brilliant) Ultraviolet (NOT the film, this was a British TV series starring Jack Davenport, aka the commandant from Pirates of the Caribbean, it's an interesting take on vampire hunters & pretty short) Coupling (TV series also starring Jack Davenport, sitcom written by Stephen Moffat before he did Doctor Who, not only funny but worth looking at from a writing perspective for how it plays with the standard sitcom formula) Babylon 5 (a long form sci-fi one but fantastic, very character driven, had a lot of technical firsts) Farscape (another sci-fi with the Henson Company, great series with a combination of silly & serious parts)

zerofk

I saw that a looong time ago and remember nothing except it being very weird.

zerofk

Another vote for Alien (1979). Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), obviously. It's terrible, but any Buffy fan should see it. 12 Angry Men (1957). One of my favourite movies, and present in every "top X movies of all time" list, ever. The Sound of Music (1965) if only because Jenny references it after being possessed by Eyghon.

Veronika

I've seen some great suggestions so I would like to add some more in the Buffyverse realm: Cruel Intentions I Know What You Did Last Summer Scream Scooby Doo, Scooby Doo 2 Bring It On Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back Wrong Turn Much Ado About Nothing Cabin In the Woods (I'm not a horror person so I've only watched it because of Amy but I really liked it) My Stepmother Is an Alien American Pie Austin Powers Chance (2002)

Dan

Since you liked Good Omens, how about Stardust (2007), if you haven't already seen it? It's also by Neil Gaiman and has a cast including Claire Danes, Robert de Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Charlie Cox and Henry Cavill. (I could sell it to you harder but that would involve spoilers.)

Justafox305

Cruel Intentions , Scream 1996 (there is a new Scream movie coming out in January) so watch the original Scream, it usually get a lot of positive people commenting under scream reactions.

R J Walker (FumblesMcStupid)

All the Monty Python and Nick Park stuff 1000% agree :D And Watership Down, don't know how many times I read that as a kid!

Matthew

Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind

Sean Ellingham

Forrest Gump A Few Good Men Rush Apollo 13 The King's Speech Moon Back to the Future Lord of the Rings

x_Rhi_x

Agree with cruel intentions! 2 of my faves, even tho I'm not a huge romcom person, are 10 Things I hate about You and Love Actually If you fancy a good cry, I Am Sam is great

Markus E.

Oh yes, I second that recommendation. Stardust is a great movie.

Denni Caid

Favorites and other ideas: * Real Genius (1985 comedy starring Val Kilmer) * The Princess Bride * Dead Poets Society * Repo! The Genetic Opera (Horror rock opera, with Giles!) * The Usual Suspects * The Game (1997 film with Michael Douglas) * L.A. Story (1991 romantic comedy starring Steve Martin) * Much Ado About Nothing (1993 Kenneth Branagh version or the 2012 Joss Whedon version, or both)

FernWithy

Hmm... Coco Stand By Me Any MCU movie (I'm currently obsessed with Shang-Chi Legally Blonde (either the movie or the musical, the latter of which you can find a recording of on YT) 1776 Karate Kid The Breakfast Club Speed

FernWithy

Oo, yes, Bring It On!

litafanforlife

I recommend some movie series like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean

Bri

Here's my suggestions, Domi: Clueless Idiocracy Romy and Michele's High School Reunion The Princess Bride Labyrinth Donnie Darko 12 Monkeys Hereditary Midsommar Us Get Out Cube Candyman (original) Arachnophobia The Faculty The Blair Witch Project Unbreakable TV is just a better medium, though, in my opinion! If you were to react to more TV: BSG! Obviously you already know the show from the pilot tier, so you know how good it is!) Spaced X Files Firefly Dead like me (different from Dead to me!) Lost Westworld I could also put together a list of LGBTQ/ woman friendly stand up specials if that's something you'd be interested in for reactions.

Ron Fehr

If you're into musicals, I suggest the 1978 movie Grease.

Ron Fehr

Another interesting movie is Don't Say A Word.

Hosman

Clue, The Naked Gun, The Princess Bride, Airplane, Spaceballs, A Knights Tale, and Grosse Pointe Blank are just some of my suggestions.

Chris Mansfield

Love that you included Grosse Pointe Blank (I thought of adding it myself before I saw your post). I feel like it's typically overlooked to some extent.

Thom Purdy

1776 is my favorite musical!

Diana

I don't know what lesbians movies you've seen, but really anything especially if you've not seen any of the classics, But I'm a Cheerleader DEBS Imagine Me and You I can't think Straight Bound Kissing Jessica Stein Better than Chocolate If you're anything like me you've probably seen them all as quickly as you could, but I thought maybe you're young, and might not have access down in Brazil

ADDButterfly

'But I'm a Cheerleader', 'DEBS', and 'Imagine Me and You' are amazing! There is also 'Tell it to the Bees', and 'Ammonite'. I have to say that Ammonite is very slow, but is still good.

UTU49

LOve Donnie Darko and 12 Monkeys.

UTU49

I thought I posted some Christmas movies, but I don't see them, so I guess I didn't. XMAS Movies! --> While You Were Sleeping (heart-warming romcom with Sandra Buttocks) Die Hard (intense action with some humor and warmth... and Bruce Willies) Gremlins (a lighter horror movie that lots of kids have watched. Sometimes cute, sometimes funny, sometimes scary. "Family horror"?)

Thom Purdy

Was this intentional or a spell check problem? LOL

UTU49

I have no idea what you're talking about *innocent face*

Texas

Several movies I would have suggest have already been mentioned. One that hasn't though - The Lost Boys (1987). I haven't seen it in ages so it will be fun to see how well it holds up.

Domi E

I’m actually (slowly) reacting to BSG in my All Access tier! :D

William Hult

If you haven't seen it I would really recommend the movie Pride (2014). It's about a group of gay and lesbians who decide to support a miners strike during the 80's

David Jones

The cabin in the woods. Its a horror movie but it's made by Joss Whedon.
