Who would have thought Fred episodes are simply THE BEST?! One of my new favorite Angel episodes for sure! This was honestly too great.

That scene of Fred breaking down at the bus stop always breaks my heart. The real world implications are sickening and all too real. Are these the first nice parents we've seen in the Buffyverse? Angel ate his, Wesley's father is emotionally abusive, Gunn never mentions his, Cordy's spoiled her but don't seem distant. And over on Buffy only Joyce comes to mind as a good example.

I was rewatching the Buffy episode Gingerbread recently, and Buffy's question "Did I get it? Did I get it?" instantly reminded me of the same words used by Fred's mom after running over the monster etc the bus stop.

One thing that I found a bit amusing was Fred's statement about Cordy being the heart of the group, in that her ex-boyfriend Xander sort of fills the same role in the Scooby gang.
