sooooo what i'm getting from this episode is that buffy and cordy need to celebrate their birthdays together next year since their birthdays are so close to each other???

but also, willow, i'm literally ready to fight u for tara at this point bc i love her so much. u better be a good fighter even without magic.

Domi, Anya has a panic attack in this episode because she’s afraid of dying. The guy - Jessie was it? I can’t remember. Not important. Any way, he was gravely injured. That’s when Anya started freaking out. And then when Xander got hurt, it was even worse. It’s understandable the way she reacts but I’m glad that Tara stopped her and called her out.

Speaking of this episode reminding you of ‘Family’. Did you notice the parallel with Buffy defending Tara in that episode and Tara defending Willow in this episode? 5x06 BUFFY: “You got to come through me.” 6x14 TARA: “You have to go through me.” Folded arms and everything.

I want to say so much on the addiction storyline and specifically with Tara being the one to stick up for Willow when her friends are pressuring and coercing her to use magic but I know I’ll slip into spoiler territory and so it’s going to have to wait. But keep a pin in it because that’s significant. Very significant. As tot said. They’re on the same page now.

His name is Richard. Jessie was the name of the guy who was Xander's friend in the first episode of the series. He was turned into a vampire before Xander ended up killing him.

I love how Clem validates Tara’s assessment of whether Richard was cute or not by saying he thought he seemed cute too.

The fact that Buffy beat Spike so hard that 2 days later he is still showing the signs on his face should have been acknowledged. And also him showing up for her birthday anyway deserves at least a comment.

I feel that Anya was justified in telling Dawn "Punitive damages." Now that she had been found out, Dawn did have to make amends, and for Anya, it just happened to be financial.

I think that Anya's attack on Willow, prior to Tara defending her, was in some ways valid. They had not tried Willow using magic, and in that respect she had the most power. By the way, Anya did make a small apology to Tara. I'm paraphrasing, "I'm sorry Tara, but Willow's more powerful than you."

Anya may have gone a bit crazy from claustrophobia, but she was definitely justified in being mad at Dawn. Dawn straight up stole from her, and regardless of what emotional state she was in, that's not ok and there should be consequences

Second one down! Another good one, and we keep spilling the beans one by one. Today: Dawn’s turn. And that’s the thing about this season, everybody is going through a lot, and therefore no one notices other people’s struggles until someone enters the scene with a bulldozer. In this case it was Anya, but we had Sweet (6x07 demon) for Buffy, and Amy for Willow. Also, after finding out that Dawn has been stealing from her for months, I wouldn’t expect an apology from Anya anytime soon… 😛
