🔧 Update (v2.9.35)

Fixed an issue with IK positioning and saving, where in some conditions hands and feet were not correctly restored after loading.

Fixed missing Lit shader definitions that could cause issues with emission handling and unwanted light reflections.

Fixed characters “Look At” resetting to None when opening and closing the menu. The camera target is now properly restored.

Fixed and improved movement behavior of assets, characters, and lights, which could previously snap or get lost in space.

Added gizmos for moving and rotating assets.

Added 43 pre-integrated morphs for mouth customization.

Introduced a new physics system for breasts and glutes, now customizable per character via the “Physics” menu.

Fixed additional minor bugs that could cause hidden issues.

🔧 Small Patch Update (v2.9.14)

Fixed strand hair jitter.

Implemented a new audio management system.

🔧 Small Patch Update (v2.9.13)

A small patch has been released to fix a bug related to the IK system.

Previously, deleting a character or object that had IK targets attached from another character could break the internal reference and cause an error in the system.

This update fixes the issue and ensures that removing characters or objects no longer breaks the IK logic.

A crucial step toward a more alive sandbox

E.V.E continues to evolve, and version 2.9.35 Beta introduces one of the most important building blocks for the creative freedom inside the virtual environment.

This update is not just about bug fixes. It completes a fundamental system for the sandbox, significantly improving the way scenes, characters and interactions can be created and experienced.

The result is a much smoother experience both for users who love building and staging scenes, and for those who prefer simply stepping inside them and experiencing them, whether in Desktop mode or fully immersed in VR.

But there is something even more important behind this update.

This version quietly prepares the ground for one of the next major evolutions of the project:AI-driven character interactions.

New Feature

🔹 Character IK Interaction System

A new interactive IK system has been introduced, allowing a much more precise and natural control of the characters.

You can now:

• grab characters’ hands and feet• move and position them freely in space• lock them to fixed positions• attach them to objects or other body parts

This makes it significantly easier to:

create complex static scenes

refine poses and animations

set up more believable interactions

However, the real value of this system goes beyond scene creation.

This level of control represents a technical foundation that will allow characters, in upcoming versions, to interact dynamically with each other and with the environment through AI.

In other words, this system is not just a creative tool.

It is one of the core pieces required to make characters truly dynamic.

🔹 Bug Fixes

Several reported issues have been addressed in this build:

• Fixed incorrect character positions when loading saved scenes• Fixed spot light shadow issues• Fixed character voice audio problems• Fixed camera movement while writing save files• Fixed loss of focus for the "F" key during save operations

These improvements make the overall experience more stable and significantly smoother, especially when working with complex scenes.

This version represents another important step toward a more alive sandbox, where the goal is not only to build scenes… but to give life to what is created.

And this is only the beginning of what is coming next.

E.V.E. VR ( Extended Virtual Environment )

Feedback is extremely valuable at this stage. E.V.E has many dynamic systems and a lot of possible interactions, so it’s not always possible for me to encounter every edge case during testing. If you notice any bug, strange behavior, or something that doesn’t feel right, please report it in the comments. Even small details can help a lot. Your reports allow me to identify issues quickly and fix them faster, helping make E.V.E a more solid and polished experience for everyone. Thank you for helping improve the project.

Love the scenes. And glad to see this coming along. I joined a few months ago because I was impressed with the quality of the textures. There are really only 2 or 3 games that are close, and your textures are cleaner and feel more realistic. And so far this game don't eat up almost my entire 8gb of VRAM like the other games do. My laptop 4070 is running at about 83 percent in VR mode. The engine is easy to figure out, with clear instructions, and UI is pretty good in comparison to other games, too. If you can manage to build in tracking/embodiment of the characters, and a little bit of AI dialog (or even multiplayer) you'll be ahead of the competition in no time. My only complaint is the price/value right now, with the relatively limited amount of content, but if the content keeps coming out (and especially if you can get a community creating content), it'll be worth it.
