Quick edit that I'm putting here because it affects the public version as well. I've identified a crash that occurs when Alexander gets KOed by the second or later hit of a physical multi-hit attack. This bug has been in the game since basically forever, it just came out much more prominently in v0.11. So, I'm updating both the current version and the last public version to get rid of it. Can find the link in the post.

A belated happy Easter to those who celebrate!

There are a number of new people here this week, so welcome! I very much appreciate your support, and hope you enjoy or are enjoying the game! I'm generally around for any questions or concerns, and you can find an index of tier rewards pinned to the main page.

The release over the weekend went pretty well, I think. There were a number of fixes, but I think it was inevitable with something that big and with that many moving parts. Hopefully we've gotten most of the kinks ironed out now, but feel free to report any issues that arise. I'll be releasing this version to knight tier supporters in about two weeks, probably on the 12th so it's on a friday this time.

I definitely pushed through exhaustion to get this update out, so I'm going to take some time to relax as usual. Hoping to play Unicorn Overlord, although I ended up putting off starting it since I was disappointed that it seemed like it was going to be a bit less political than I was hoping/expecting based on the introductory stuff. Hopefully will be more appealing after a bit of a palate cleanser. XD;

That aside, I have a lot of work to do before the public release, once I get Alexander's full portraits in (hopefully soon--the artist sent me 9 of the remaining 15 late last week, though I couldn't put them in due to time constraints and lack of transparency in the drafts she sent). I should have Ligaea's pretty soon too. Once I have that, I need to go through and input them, then replay the whole game to be sure everything feels right and that the extra screen height didn't mess anything up. For consistency, I also want to add busts to the introductions of people I have busts for--mainly, Sindarion's new one, Lorena, and Antipater.

I also need to redo all the promotional materials using the new art. Most of that should be easy, but the trailers are going to be a huge pain. XD; Still, I think the new art will be a boon to promotion.

Fortunately, next update was already going to be on the shorter side, so hopefully the time I'll need to do all that stuff won't throw off the release schedule too much overall.

great update as always. i didn't expect that it was going to be these big. every time i felt it was going to end it kept going and going. Eris plotline is also becoming one of my favorites in game. i have question about our Royal Funds. from dialogue i always got feeling that it was 200% of whole kingdoms yearly income but now we are getting 25% in monthly bases from fraction of territory so i don't think that math adds up very well. we should ether don't get any monthly income or 200% percent should be decreased to like not yearly but to quarterly kingdoms income or something like that(monthly is best). or we should not get any income for another 20 updates. these will teach people to not spend everting at once :) but i don't think it will be very good game designee even if i would find it funny. also who will pay royal army and how ?i got feeling from game that there are reserves for these but it may become a long term problem.

Thanks! Glad to hear you've been enjoying it! It really was a big update haha, close to a double sized one. Ah, good catch. I think annual was a mistake back when I wrote it as annual, monthly discretionary funds it what it should be. Having two months of the whole kingdoms' worth of discretionary funds would still be impressive in Veronica's position. Re: Royal Army, that will be addressed in more detail next update. But in broad terms, my thinking is that they have some existing funds for now, which should buy some time until overall income increases enough that they can be rolled into the non-discretionary budget.

Just finished my second playthrough of your game. Gotta say I like what I see a lot. In some ways, I think it might even surpass TLS. Particularly, I do enjoy being shown clearly what numbers my decisions affect, even not knowing how things will fall out and which score will matter most. On another note, I feel like there's not much control overthe economy aspect of the game yet, and that should be a place where it could be improved. So far, there's only really been one round of returns and even then, you can only realisticly affect one percent of the discretionary funds. Given that the cheapest investment costs 5% so far in the game, that's basically the same as not being able to reinvest in your kingdom at all, but maybe I am getting ahead of myself and that is a matter of time and development of the game. Gotta say though, this last chapter was done amazingly. One thing I felt missing from your updates was the exploration aspect of the game. It was a lot of fun walking around the castle town and the fort proper, looking around for things to do and people to meet. The soundtrack was also amazing, so hats off to you sir. Looking foward to the next iterations.

Glad to hear you've been enjoying it! That's very high praise indeed, haha. I hope I can live up to it. I also enjoy having things be a little clearer, and I think projecting the general effects with a group of competent advisors is reasonable. The economic side of things is definitely something I'll put more focus on in the future. I don't quite aspire to the investment complexity of TLS, and I think the circumstances are a bit different (there's less incentive to invest in things that might increase future tax returns in the middle of a conflict, since the returns are realistically further out), but I do intend to do more than I have now, and there will definitely be some further non-plot-driven ways to affect economic control (for example, I could see adding some when the economic status passes certain thresholds when funds come in in the future). Thank you, though! I'm quite happy with how this chapter came out, and I'm glad to hear you enjoyed! Yeah, I try to balance types of content, and we were definitely due for something a bit less structured, haha. Happy to hear you enjoyed the music as well. It's definitely one of my own favorite aspects, if we exempt the periods of frustration at not being able to find a track that hits right for a usage. XD
