Discord Thoughts (Patreon)

So, I never got around to posting this last week, and this week ended up being a bit rough for IRL reasons, but things are evening out a bit, so wanted to post about it.

I've had people ask about making a Discord for the game a few times. I feel like this would be a good idea, but it's really not something I think I can run myself. It isn't so much that I don't enjoy discussing the game as that I enjoy it a bit too much and think I would find it deeply distracting. I already have to balance making the game against other work and the demands of day-to-day life, so I'd prefer not to risk my productivity that way.

With that in mind, I know some other creators whose work I enjoy (Sierra Lee, in particular) have had success doing more of a community-run Discord. So. I was wondering if there would be any interest here in that model. Basically, I'd need a few trustworthy people to moderate it, which I would see mainly as (a) enforcing some basic rules (mark spoilers, don't be offensive, etc.) and (b) occasionally passing on noteworthy reports of issues or suggestions to me in some form.

If no one is interested, that's totally fine, of course, I just thought it was worth investigating the possibility since it's something I would like to have but I know myself too well to think I could easily balance the attention demands of running it myself. Any other thoughts on the topic are also welcome.
