Weekly Update (2-17-2025) (Patreon)

First off, here's a warm-up sketch from Mimo I've been meaning to share for a while:
Pretty good progress this week. I got through most of the mapping I need to do. One bit in particular should be fun to get to see. Sadly I can't preview it without giving it away, but I feel like a safe hint is that it relates to a new castle customization option that's coming.
Once I finish up the last part of mapping, I'll be moving on to the writing. There's always another layer of inertia in that transition, but I'm hoping it won't be too bad. One other thing I've given some thought to stopping and doing briefly is making an anti-lag script. The game can be pretty CPU-intensive, and this has been on my todo list for a while. If I do it, I may release it as a steam beta and just let people mess with it and find any issues it causes. Not 100% sure here.
Aside from that, it's hard to really judge the turnaround on the YT ads I did since playing the game is a pretty long process, but at the very least the combined sum total of the advertising efforts around the public release seem to have elevated player counts on steam in a fairly lasting fashion. Had a decent sized curator review recently, which was nice.
For now, though, back to work!
