The long anticipated ramble video! Youtube really didn't like my first attempts to render it out and it kept getting stuck in processing hell, so I finally just used the super hacker solution of OBS screen recording my own vid and now it looks like it's working fine. As Bonnie Bennett would say, it took some time but I think I finally figured this witch thing out.

Hope you enjoy the chaotic energy of this one

Creepypasta Park & Life Day

Comments

Robin

You have to invite the band Starship.

MrTophatter

thats because Schulz lived there, its where his museum is

Nora

Just saw this video for the first time today and had the exact same experience lmaoo it was such a good throwback

Robert Romero Jr

Im guessing this mystery lodge video will top the star wars hotel video runtime by how long she has been working on it.

Keiko

I came to the comments specifically to find out how to spell it lol. I was nowhere close.

Scrum Diddely Umptious

Does anyone else ever think about how male scifi writers wrote holiday party planning lore that involves fighting a tree for some fruit My favorite beanie baby is a bulldog missing its nose button and a kangaroo missing the little baby and they still live on my bedside table. Its strange though because they're the only 2 with no tags? I feel like I am a clumsy person that unwittingly spills and trips a lot and I cant keep clothes in good condition, but I have a bag of approximately 80 beanie babies and I played with all of them all the time, but they're in like perfect condition with tags, I guess I was just very careful with them because I loved them so much. They are exceptionally beautiful kids toys, and the quality is so surprising to me in today's context. I have no idea what to do with them all now though, I have the princess diana one somehow?? I even have a little bag from the beanie baby club... I gave some away to friend's babies, but I still could never part with all of them lol spot and foxy got gifted to my best friends baby and are now the matted and grey tagless favorites, that feels right haha i even randomly found extras to send to them (including a Roo with a tag and a baby that I had to get) at a random thrift shop.

Danielle Schatten

"Hi, Creepypasta Park complaints department, can I help you?" "Hi, my friend and I got Luna Juices at the Pink Opaque plaza and uhhh you ever feel like there's this hole inside of you and it isn't closing and no matter what you do-" "Sir, did you want your money back?" "It's 'ma'am' now actually"

dustjackett

This made me legitimately laugh out loud thank you 🏳️‍⚧️

Danielle Schatten

lmao ty; remember, There Is Always Still Time... for tier ranking fish to win Jenny Ramble of the Month

Abby Dech

dead watchinh this after going to epic universe

CPK Grownup

I like Snoopy but I never would’ve guessed that he was still so popular in theme parks.

Matty Sievers

First the VPD video and now this? Tis a good day to be a patron.

Parker Nisbett

i thought youtube rigged the spell so you would die instantly!

Luis

Over 3 hours of fresh content in 2 days we are so spoiled

Jennifer Fryer

omg is that a toy crystal necklace from the McDonalds toy run of Disney's Atlantis on that stuffed animal back there?

Maggie

i’m so confused, is the vampire diaries video out? i can’t find it

Luis

I believe it's for the $5 and up tiers

Jenny Nicholson

IT SUUUUUURE IS I'm not planning an atlantis video or anything I just found it in one of my closet boxes and thought it was a great item

Jenny Nicholson

@Maggie it's done but unlisted until its copyright issues are resolved (it has a block in some countries, which means the algorithm wouldn't promote it if I released it now) so for the time being it's posted here as a preview for the Bad Cars & up

Galewolf

Wow, Jenny has gone from Pro Gamer to Super Hacker. I'm a little scared to see what's next!

Trystan

I feel vindicated I didn't vote for the Life Day one.

Steve

These hot Life Day tips stolen straight from the Hallmark YT channel

Matt Hayhoe

In the LEGO special Yoda vaguely explains Life Day and how it’s about family! and friendship! and LIFE! and then we see them set up a Life Day party which further establishes it’s cottagecore aesthetic and basically reinforces that it is in fact a festival based on Life and not much else

Matt Hayhoe

basically, it’s Star Wars Midsommar

Tyler Honsel

Dracula’s castle restaurant sounds great! I’ll totally order a medium rare veggie burger with fries w Xtra ketchup.

Markus Andrews

Happy New Year Jenny! Proud to be your patron. :D

Magicalbunbun

Okay okay I’m SO excited about the prospect of a beanie baby video!!!! I’ve also recently gotten into the history a little bit. There’s some videos on it but I think one going in depth would be amazing. Have you seen that video of the guys in the 90s just fuckin screaming about beanies that are about to be “retired”? Also for the creepypasta park I also would have eyeless jack as a walk along character because I think teen girls also like him? Oh and the five nights at freddys restaurant would be attached to a security room ride. You know that men in black ride at universal where you have to shoot aliens and stuff then you get scored at the end? I was thinking something like that but avoiding getting jumpscared. Have you heard about the five nights at freddy’s knockoff movie starring Nick cage? That’s apparently coming out soon?

Matt Hayhoe

Also, Chessington World of Adventures had “Count’s Cauldron” which was essentially a Dracula themed Burger King (and then McDonalds?) next to the Vampire rollercoaster and right opposite the “Professor Burp’s Bubble Works” boat ride? Tonally confused but either way they beat Universal to it

Elisabeth

I’m pretty old so I laughed at the Dionaea House joke. 10/10

AppleSnaps

I think for the Russian Sleep Experiment, the theme of the ride would have to be something like, "here's the ride that the subjects designed while in the middle of the experiment."

Catherine Moore

As someone who had multiple phases where they would endlessly read the SCP archives, it hurts my bones to hear you didn't really find any SCPs you really jived with. But the bit about weird jam made me chuckle, so i'm not too upset Also, your confusion regarding the ownership of Great America is because there's actually two, one in California owned by Cedar Fair and one in Illinois owned by Six Flags. They were originally built by Marriott before both were sold to two different owners.

Conor

Didn't see talk about the creepy pasta park on the Defunctland podcast or am I misremembering ?

Steve Ray

So they make Jar Jar Binks jump off a cliff and give Baby Yoda a hammer?

Jonathan Bradley

You should do a video about Dollywood. I went there so many times as a kid and I loved it.

Jenny Nicholson

I would love to! I think that's also near the Titanic dinner experience and other weird theme dining things. One of my friends is from around there and we keep talking about doing a trip

Jonathan Bradley

You have no idea, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is like this weird mountain version of Orlando where there are so many dining theater experiences.

Steve Ray

I wrote a creepypasta about Jenny buying new video-editing software on the Dark Web. The software was a secret experiment that added a mind-control signal during rendering. The output file would always be called DONTWATCH, so they could say they gave fair warning, but people who watched the video would become crazy cannibals within the next 48 hours.

Woody Jang

i watched and enjoyed the lego life day special. it's not good.

Conor

Hey Jenny, indigenous person here, I would stay away from the Native American lore. You're not even supposed to talk about it or say it's name.

Steve Ray

The Banana Splits?

Steve Ray

Do they show up and mess with people who say too much?

Conor

Saying it’s name is extremely taboo

Conor

I love Jenny so just warning her :)

Conor

Also...hopefully no one here will but she might get some negative internet attention from it

Steve Ray

What about that ranch?

Conor

Pretty interesting stuff, I think CGP Grey has a good video about that stuff. Anyways, that is too complicated to explain in a comment section.

Conor

I’m just saying that the two words she used are taboo to say or hear in the cultures they come from

Conor

im voting for the TOY COLLECTION video <3

Neeul

Thank you for spelling it out! I was trying to search it but I couldn't get any hits cause I kept typing Diana or Dianae.

Anastasi

Can I just say I feel bad for the guy who made siren head, Trever Henderson? He does so much cool art but he’s been kinda pigeon holed as the siren head guy.

Brett Buttle

I watched that Lego Life Day thing. Not much learned about the holiday itself, seems like it’s basically space Christmas. It’s fun in a fan service-y self-referential kind of way, and my kid liked it. I wouldn’t go out of your way to watch it, but if you’re looking for something to watch around the holidays next year, you could do worse.

JoeySnowyNoey

I went to Star Wars land in December last year and when I was buying a hotdog taco the woman at the stand told me “enjoy your Ronto wrap and happy life day!” And I was so happy about it I basically screamed “you too!” lol.

Natalie Arnold

What I learned here is that when teenage boys write fanfiction they gotta call it creepypasta instead. Game and tv show creepypasta stories just, are fanfic with a dark story?

Samuel Won

I was just thinking this too! I think all he did was a few pieces of art with that character, and the internet did everything else with it. IIRC he doesn't even like that it got all this attention and embellishment from other people?

Dan Gibbins

"Take any glass orb, put it in your hands, now it's a Life Day Orb" was just perfectly on-brand for the Hallmark DIY channel.

Lucy

32:03, did you hear about the Divergent attraction at the new Lionsgate park in China? I think it may be like a VR obstacle course, but I’m not sure. A lot of strange choices were revealed in the park’s preview video.

Shred Cadmium

VPD worked very well for the uninitiated! - I think that's really always the case with a Jenny Nicholson video. Everything is always well-explained so that you can join in the fun even if you're completely ignorant of the source material. (The only vids I can't say that for are the Marvel ones because with those I've *not* been completely ignorant beforehand. For aaaaaall the other ones, though - well, I guess I know a little bit about Star Wars but usually I don't have a clue what's going on and yet the Jenny vid is all you need)

Tony M Parker

The LEGO Holiday Special was cute, and goes by quick. All I remember learning is roasted tip-yip is also a Life Day food. I rank it CANON.

Shiny Skunk

i would fully lose my shit for a Jenny Beanie Babies video. I was obsessed with them as a kid, used to make stop motion music videos of DDR songs with mine. And there's a whole side of youtube dedicated to them? That'd be a great intro to it.

Steve Ray

Most of what I know about Star Wars, MCU, and MLP comes from Our Hostess' videos, so theatre versions, alternative scripts, fanfics, and hot takes all get commingled and confabulated into Hot Canon.

Katie Mueller

Mads Mikkelsen is replacing Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts

Steve Ray

Per Jenny's summary ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAN_IPwK1K8 ): They are dark stories that take place in familiar settings, so they *should* need less suspension-of-disbelief, but 95%+ ruin themselves by adding way too much scary stuff to the everyday stuff.

Sar Sar

I’m so glad you included the caving adventure! That’s one of my old school faves

Clara Bannach

2 videos in 2 days, u spoil us too much

Magical Girl Mel

Percy Jackson has a project in the works over at Disney+ with Riordan actually involved unlike the movies. I think in the lead up to that releasing would be the best time to drop a video on the musical.

Missy

I am very excited about anything Turn off the Dark related. I got way into Hadestown last year, which led me down a rabbit hole that ended with Turn off the Dark. Which, if you think about it, is basically just Hadestown! Patrick Page loves his wife but also capitalism and so he ends up kidnapping Reeve Carney's girlfriend. Really makes you think.

Brent Knudsen

Haha, I was 11 when the original Star Wars Holiday Special aired. I had looked forward to it so much! I had to make special arrangements to be sure I'd be allowed to use the tv that night because it was the middle ages. That was the night I learned about bitter disappointment.

BK

As someone who’s seen an injury-free preview of the Spider-Man Turn off the Dark musical I’d love to hear your take on it!

Tori

Couldn't the SCP thing be like the Stitch thing? Just redo the Stitch's Great Escape but maybe longer? or more rooms "oh no! the thing has gotten out wtf?" Okay but there is something I must say. Astroworld had a luney toons land. Not a Snoopy land. I am so sorry to be that person.

The Doom Merchant

I was [un?]lucky enough to see Turn Off the Dark while it was still on Broadway, and, man. Oof. It was somehow both not as bad as, and much worse than, the stories you've heard. Got a cool t-shirt, though, and naturally I kept the Playbill, so that's a neat little part of history, such as it is.

Tori Sprankle

I love the idea of traveling to theme parks! If you’re ever headed down to Virginia, I’d happily spot you a free friend pass to Busch Gardens Williamsburg 💘 (it’s got the title of most beautiful theme park in the world, take that Disney)

Nicole

The LEGO Star Wars holiday special is great! It's very cute and funny, but ... I'm not sure that you learn anything else significant about Life Day. And the LEGO Star Wars shows aren't canon either way.

Joel Keene

Wait, have you played the Sirenhead Dating Sim yet?

CW

I love all your theme park content! More more more!

SoSo_Tsundere

My CreepypastaPark Ideas: Left/Right Game version of Star Tours Hall of Dead Residents (no idea other than the name) A VR set you can walk around like Secrets of the Empire, but it's for P.T. (or a PT knock-off) Cannibal Dinner Theater A series of short escape rooms you have to go through with monsters chasing you from room to room

brody viszka

I thought I saw Vampire Diaries but turns out it was True Blood. I guess that's the thing with vampire content too - nothing new.

Porge

90 seconds in and my fears about the life day topic were confirmed, i.e. that it was mostly submitted as a funny meme title for a topic without there being that much content to actually draw inspiration from lmao

Arielle Lyons

lego holiday special was cute, but you don't learn anything about life day

Porge

In fairness, insubstantial meme topics are a million times better than the topics that require the same level of research and writing as a regular video or the weirdly voyeuristic ones

Shred Cadmium

😱 Sizeable Spider looks like an actual ghost! 🕷👻

Ian L

The SCP wiki used to be really poorly curated, but now it’s a lot higher in quality. However a large number of newer SCPs reference other older ones so it can be a bit of a commitment to dig through the entire series of articles for the full story. Still I’d recommend checking out articles with high user ratings, those are generally much higher quality.

Christina

I saw it too when I was like fourteen! I cannot for the life of me remember its exact plot and everything I do remember is very weird and disjointed. Like that Spiderman derived his powers from the goddess(?) Arachne instead of the radioactive spider bite, Spiderman having his infamous wrestling match with something that very closely resembled a blow-up doll, and a giant plywood arm catching an equal giant plywood baby that fit perfectly into the palm of its hand. Also, the song 'A Freak Like Me Needs Company' haunts me to this day and will enter my thoughts unprompted and unwanted.

Jacob Crowe

I remember finding the Ted the Caver website through some random link sharing thing so there was no context which definitely made it super weird. Also I can't remember if you've mentioned watching it before but Candle Cove got turned into a TV show, it was the first season of the Syfy channel anthology series Channel Zero.

Micah Saunders

I had that crocodile beanie baby as a kid!

Chelsea Margaret Cole

The people who made Spiderman the Musical: Turn off the Dark definitely didn't edit their own wikipedia page

Joe Bloe

I've been keen on a theme park (+ whatever) world tour for at least a couple years now. Sadly I think it'll still be at least 9 months before vaccines are widespread enough that it'll be an even moderately safee option. But yes please do it, go hard then go home, which are both things everyone should do.

Papa Q. Bear

Yes! That and Dionaea just popped up out of nowhere.

Notation

Honestly SomethingAwful itself would be a really interesting topic especially now that it has changed ownership.

Lo Ro

For the lego special, it mentions life day as a method of starting the plot in the opening scenes, and its overall a cute special, nothing crazy but worth a watch if youre looking for cutesy lego fun

superb lobster

Ask Lauren about Life Day craft ideas.

Tabea Zeltner

I think for the Russian sleep experiment it could be a themed hotel thing! Like you are the control group so you get to sleep, but the Experiment happens right next door so you can sometimes hear creepy voices and it all looks like a laboratory. It wouldn't be a comfortable night, but scary

Leesah

Oh man I JUST helped my dad clean out some old boxes with all my beanie baby magazines, and my TY beanie baby club swag. What a trip that was

Luis

I just checked Bing for images of Siren Head and they made my day :D

Hannah Critchfield

Now people can write defunct creepypasta park creepypasta where it’s a double negative, so it’s actually a lighthearted adventure comedy

Natalie Arnold

Thanks mansplainer for mansplaing something that only a man could splain

Dee Crosier

Great ramble, as always! I did watch the new LEGO Star Wars holiday special, and as a casual fan I quite enjoyed it, but remember literally nothing beyond that. Nice to see Rose Tico getting some scenes at least! Obviously I’m hoping the vaccine is rolled out quickly and successfully for many reasons, and seeing you tour theme parks around the country/world is very high up on that list! :) Also, I kinda love the idea of a “Siren Head” parade, where they just blast out old-timey air-raid alarms at the audience for half an hour, as a line of malformed stilt-creatures lumber clumsily along, and bump into each other. Fun!

YeeHawYuri

Petition to add the traumatizing nightmare tunnel from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Steve Ray

Oh, don't worry about it? I'm happy to pass along info? Really, I was only Jen-splaining, because I only know about creepypasta from Jenny's videos?

Steve Ray

There's an evil room you can rent at a boutique hotel in Houston. Half the time they make you change rooms a couple hours after you check in, and the walls are covered in ominous art.

Torfi

Beanie baby video sounds amazing.

Tess

Jenny scolding us about our poor video topic choices while wearing a Hedwig hat is a very powerful energy.

pileofpolariods

I GASPED when you mentioned the beanie baby video. I would love to see that!

Chelsea Counsell

When you're running around to theme parks you should do some urban exploration/abandoned theme park filming too! (if you want). I wish I could travel too blahhh Then again there's like an abandoned theme park and ski resort just down the road and I haven't bothered myself to go visit those either

Brian

Missed opportunity to serve a dish called “creepy pasta” at the 5 nights at freddy’s Italian restaurant.

Stephanie Hohn

I think the beanie baby thing sounds really interesting too!

Hank Pan

The things I would do for a Sirenhead plush hat. Or helmet so you ARE Sirenhead.

Sara Nicole

I think if you made a beanie baby retrospective it would be my favorite thing you’ve made

India June

would absolutely love a beanie babies video

Swampdrinker

Your hair looks SO GOOD. Whatever you're doing, it's awesome.

Swampdrinker

I think the smallest/cutest SCPs could be in the giftshop and they need to be adopted because the scientists are overrun with the big dangerous ones! When you bought one, the cashiers would be like, "thank you for Serving, Containing, and Protecting! and you could sign a contract that says you'll keep it safe and stuff. I'm spitballing bc I think a lot of them are buildings and playground equipment while I'm obviously picturing a plush of some sort.

Swampdrinker

I'm REALLY interested on adults' perspectives of beanie babies? Like even as little kids we knew, to some degree, the idea that they were going to be investments was made up and no one really controls what an investment is. But for some reason, adults really seemed to believe they would be worth something even though they were mass produced. Even my older relatives were interested in buying me beanie babies over any book or art supply or toy I actually wanted. Like what was it that appealed to adults so much and did it appeal to kids in the same way or were kids just taking what they could get and adults found them to be a more valid purchase...?

Catherine Fox

I follow the siren head creator on twitter @slimyswampghost, they're a talented horror artist. They design a lot of creepy stuff. You could probably find a ton of viral horror artists online and pay them to feature their creatures in a creepypasta park

Oathian

The idea of walking around creepypasta park and seeing a snoopy and being like “oh hey, there’s Snoopy” cracks me UP

Michelle Irene Hanson

I watched the LEGO special and it's really cute, lots of fun little Easter eggs and silly humor. I think there are a couple of new little Life Day things. Poe tried to cook

Ghostfellow

I like the idea of there just being a Denny's somewhere random in the park. Like this completely normal Denny's and none of the staff mention it being in a creepypasta theme park

Holly Adkins

Omg the dionea house joke has made my week

Victoria Blake

Oh my god I literally JUST rescued all my old beanie babies from my dad’s house! I’ve gotten really into old toy collecting over the pandemic and over the last month I’ve been driving my family insane talking about how funny I find the whole craze. I’d be super down for either of your toy-related videos. (Also my favorite beanie baby when I was growing up was a puppy named Darling)

Cryomancer42

BTW the creator of siren head is on Twitter with the handle @ slimyswampghost and he does a bunch of other cool cryptid art and concepts if that's something you're into.

JoshuaMartian

Having watched the Lego Life Day Special, I just recall it being a Chirstmas/Thanksgiving stand-in. Poe Dameron wears a knitted green-and-red sweater and wants to have friends and family over to enjoy his Star Wars equivalent of a turkey.

tim_schu

Everything and everyone in Hadestown he owns but he only buys what others choose to sell. Oh, you didn't know? She signed the deal herself. That is to say... Hades did nothing wrong ;)

Alex

Life day gives off the same energy to me as boonta Eve

Adam Greene

I came into the Vamp Di video as an earnest fan of seasons 1-6 (well, 1-3, but I watched through 6), and my best friend went into it as someone who had never watched an episode. Both of us loved it and watched it in one sitting. She might even watch the first season now. If that's not success in hitting disparate demographics, I don't know what is.

alexandra johnson

i have not seen one second of the vampire diaries but i watched ur entire vid and loved it so much! also, i saw the percy jackson and spider man musical on bway!

Jeddie Biggers

mads mikkelsen is going to save the fantastic beasts franchise you just want

Gina Kim

i need a creepypasta about the Creepy Pasta from creepypasta land

Brie!

Love all your theme park content, even the fictional stuff! Your enthusiasm for other topics is contagious, though, so I'm looking forward to whatever comes next. :)

Cleo Oops

I kind of want a tattoo of photo-negative snoopy now..

Melissa

omg Jenny, my heart SOARED when you mentioned Dionaea House! it is my favorite creepypasta-style story and I re-read it every October and recommend it to my friends but I don't think anybody reads it. it's nice to know someone else remembers it fondly! I also loved the cave story so it was great to have it mentioned too

Pocket & Locket

I was about to comment the exact same thing! I actually don’t like a lot of horror, but I loved both the cave story and Dionaea House. I’m fairly certain it was made as an ARG style marketing? They were trying to get a movie or book deal or something, iirc. Whatever the back story, I love it and it creeps me out to read every single time! (Although when it was called “really old” I withered away....that came out around the end of high school/start of college for me 😭

Melissa

I have vivid memories of reading the cave story for the first time in the computer lab of college freshman year, so I feel you 100% I think the author of Dionaea House did get some jobs in Hollywood so I guess it worked! (source: some stuff I vaguely remember googling last year)

Stephen Gillie

Isn't the SCP mythos set up legally to be uncopyrightable and generally unfriendly to commercial enterprises? It feels like a counterpoint to i.e. Slenderman getting a movie while leaving Vinnie stuck in some apartment for years and years.

Stephen Gillie

You get ads on facebook? Am I the only one on this whole internet with a functioning adblock?

Margaret K

omg please do beanie babies

Margaret K

My parents lived in Santa Rosa and there's peanuts stuff all over the town, so that's kind of a shitty theme park in itself

Alex Mark

you said the words "pasta town" in this video, which sounds like a much better theme park that i'd definitely want to go to.

Emma Wilson

dude i might buy a higher tier to message you this but if you’re visiting weird theme parks or places in general there’s a train themed park in North Carolina called “tweetsie railroad” that i went to when i was super young and a really sick vintage dark ride about mice, i’ve been meaning to go back myself since i live closer to it now than i did back then but they’re closed atm bc of covid

flynnparadox

Great video. Just joined the Patreon. Lots of excellent content. And I agree: that Universal Monsters Land sounded incredible. Hope it actually happens one day.

Tiffany Clark

It took a while to find the full Dionaea House story, and now that I did I won't be sleeping for the next several days, but now that I understand the reference I thought that was very funny

Narcissa Deville

Jeff the Killer the ride. Like the Mummy ride at Universal

Narcissa Deville

I still need Disney to do like a Villainsland

avataris

I think the jeff the killer character is genius but would it be like the scary horrifying og jeff the killer or the emo moody anime hair fanart jeff the killer

Lyx

I love that this Video is now on Youtube Kids! All these little children, under the age of twelve that cannot watch this Video about fictional mass murderes, because their parents would need to give you money on here are gonna be so happy! No but really, just bc you talk about a theoretical theme park does not mean this Video is for children 🤣 wtf youtube

Tuff Emily

To its credit I will say the lego special does make it canon you can time travel only on life day
