Jenny's Choice

Comments

Koda Spruce

This is my ultimate comfort video.

River

the big brother train pony being the trans colors is so funny to me...trains rights fr

Connor B

Lmao watching this and hearing you say Evermore is going to be an hour long video when it is a DELIGHTFUL 3 hours and 48 minutes long

Cat

New here and working my way through all the patreon videos. This and the plush collection are my absolute fave rambles so far!

Nioli

I had no interest in collecting vintage ponies before I watched this and now it's the only thing that I want to do.

Audrey Eley

I'm a G3 collector, and I love all your mlp vids 💕

KC Mase

so much of this video speaks to me as a collector of entirely different stuff. It feels like so much of the collecting experience is super universal to other collectors, even when it seems super niche.

Merrill O'Shaughnessy

Ok hear me out: Biore pore strips for the ingrained dirt on Tex. I don’t know if I’m kidding but I desperately want to know if it would work.

OtterofLore

I recently watched as many 1980s MLP ads as I can find and rewatched this video. I realize this is a minor point but Jenny says the Big Brother Ponies were marketed towards boys, but as far as I can tell that's not true. The commercial for them showed little girls playing with them and saying they loved their silly big brothers. (I am curious as to where the idea they were advertised to boys came from- maybe because the european packaging is more gender neutral? the US packaging looks the same as all the other ponies with rainbows and stuff)

notgerardway

this whole video jenny is just like "lmao no one is even gonna like this ahah" and maybe she was right but when she dropped the topic she chose i was immediately so friggin excited and i thoroughly enjoyed this ramble so her repeated comments about how much no one cares were so funny and lost on me tbh

hannah maye

I would love an old school my little pony main channel video 😭😭 I was a kid in the 2000s who loved g3 and get sm nostalgia when Jenny talks about it honestly I’d love to just see her list all the ponies she wants to add to the collection

Anemone Plenary

Oh my gosh I have a memory of lying on the ground in the backyard during quarantine listening to Jenny talk about MLP collecting and staring at the sky through the weeds but thought I was hallucinating from extended stress and isolation but I clicked on this and here it is!

AshFerraz

Not Jenny saying evermore would be her short video😭 girl you had no idea

Jyle

aaaa this made me go back over a catalogue of all the g1 ponies and I distinctly remember which ones I had and which ones I COVETED because friends had them lol (my Rockin Beats fave is Tuneful because the colourrsss)

sweet chao

I love when she talks about ponies or her collection items

sweet chao

I have the same tropical pony!!! 🩷💚🧡

sweet chao

I love this video so much

MagicalGirlShame

I'm giddy at the prospect that next time I'm in a UK charity shop or a Carboot Sale (US fleamarket ?) I could unknowingly stumble across rare treasures. It does make me wish you had a POBox, but then your satisfaction wouldn't be as earned and I respect that.

Bailey Welchhance

I think this is because she did not yet know what a train wreck it was, right?

uno a caso

25:43 funny fact: the word asinine comes from the Latin asinus which means donkey

CPK Grownup

Seeing the brush and grow pony unlocked a childhood memory.

Technez

Catching up and watching all of your videos steadily cultivated a desire in me to know more about your my little pony collection/the scene so this was actually perfect

Gunther Huettlinger

Checked to see if youd posted like 2 minutes before you posted this lol

Lemon

Seeing the title and seeing the thumbnail with Jenny holding a pony all I could think was "yeah that makes sense."

Caroline

I have a hunch Jenny's choice might have something to do with My Little Pony

Nel Meyrink

Jokes on you, I’ve been not-so-patiently waiting for a video on your MLP collection for y e a r s

Rara

I really needed a peaceful video rn thank u 🥰

Nezumi

so punctual!

Tom Rose

Will you be doing a YouTube video soon? Really looking forward to seeing my name in the massive end credit crawl.

Gay Rat

the bibble plush behind you <3 i should get one

Tony M Parker

This is so fun. I could listen to Jenny talk about Ponies for hours.

Pete Ashton

(Before watching) So is this like Sophie's Choice but for ponies? Bleak.

Carl Sage

Nerd minutiae? Along with big train energy, one of the best ways to start a month! I'm all in!

Anna Glin

omg yes! are you kidding, this is EXACTLY the kind of video I want from you <3

Sgt Sweetcheeks

I'm so excited for this I always said if I had more money I'd join your highest tier and just constantly suggest "Jenny shows us her my little pony collection" 🤣

Natalie Arnold

I was never into pony collecting, but I am old enough to have seen the G1s advertised on TV or in toy stores and stuff. Vague memories are resurfacing. Vague, pony-shaped memories. Thanks for this

Joel Keene

I love categorization and cataloging, it speaks to me on a primal level, like colorful ponies do. I didn't vote for this category because I didn't want to feel the shame of abdicating my responsibility. But now I feel the shame of underestimating your ability to know better than we how best to entertain us

Alchemy

I dont know why i love this, but i love this.

Mister CPU

The reason to subscribe is for nerdy detailed videos.

Blaberid

fwiw... i am VERY interested in this topic as a vintage pony collector myself and i really enjoyed this video! thanks for sharing! i grew up in the 90s in europe so i have a few rare euro exclusives in my childhood collection, including baby candy and baby ruby with their accessories... baby ruby is missing her ring but it should still be somewhere in my parents' attic. the first pony i remember owning was baby brother apple delight but i have no idea where he ended up. i love the flutter ponies too but mostly because i was utterly obsessed with their cartoon special as a kid lol. morning glory is my absolute favorite pony to this day. really wish they made toy furbobs.

Sgt Sweetcheeks

When you mentioned that within the culture of collecting you have a different perspective on price than other collectors I super get it, I'm into furbys and people outside the community with try and sell them for hundreds of dollars but within the fandom a fully mint condition working one will still be maybe at most $50 if somebody is trying to make money off it.

Joel Keene

So basically Mimic is the Bitcoin of the pony market

Joel Keene

Except that you can enjoy looking at and playing with a Mimic so

Steve Ray

Let Ponies be brush'd, though the heavens fall!

mollie

are you going to finish your knott’s berry farm video now that things are mostly open again?

Ellymab

I love this, there is so much to know about little pony collecting

Bryan Sutton

I always enjoy listening to people talk about their passions, even if the topic isn't necessarily interesting to me. Also, the Saw ranking video would be cool as this year's Halloween video.

Remy Gagne

No lie, I finally got around to joining your patreon to watch this video. As someone who sadly owns no ponies (although I do collect other toys) I find G1 fandom hella fascinating.

Bullseye

I don't think I'd use acetone on a pony. Acetone will dissolve certain kinds of plastic.

Morevan

Oh my gosh, we had a Thundercloud mountain pony when I was little! We got him in a big box of old ponies from our neighbours so I never understood why he had different feet or that male dolls were a thing and I ONLY liked my Sparkleworks, so he probably ended up binned. Fly high king.

Mandi Coffey

I am in no way a pony collector, but this is a fun story. I grew up with a couple of ponies (all G3) and a really nice dance studio set. Luckily, they are all still around because my mom is a first grade teacher, so she keeps them for her kids (who LOVE them by the way). So one summer I was in her classroom, and I spotted them and noticed how horrible dirty and messy they were. And since I had already loved Jenny's vid about cleaning old ponies, I was immediately like "I have to take this home and clean every single one"- and I did! It was indeed very relaxing and rewarding, I kept my favorite one for myself to sit on my desk, and the rest I gave back so that her kids would get to play with clean and pretty ponies!

HappyMice

You're not fooling anyone Jenny, this video would do numbers on Youtube.

quaarkbeast

Well now I know what to look for if I see a pony at a garage sale or something 😂

M&B

I am so excited for that potential SAW video

Dan Gibbins

It just so happens that extensive nerd minutia is my exact jam somehow. This was a perfect way to kick my day off.

Ford Prefect

Your pony collection is a perfect topic for a ramble video

Ben Lyons

Whenever you mentioned Mimic I pictured one of the Mimics from Dark Souls on your pony shelf. I'm sure it would fit right in!

Callie Koch

One of my favorite ramble videos of all time honestly

Ferret

Jenny, I'm ~(not)~ sorry to say that the joke is on you about Jenny's Choice because this video was delightful! Also, i love that Bibble is now part of the JCU because I used to love him as a kid.

Rebecca Roberts

Ok WOW, I was born in '82 and grew up with those ponies, and I broke ALL the wings off of my flutter ponies, and watched that Glass Princess movie multiple times. I had soooo many G1 ponies, but I liked to play with them in the bath, so very few survived. I'd LOVE to see you react to the original pony cartoons. They were DARK. Like, "be my slaves, or I'll throw this baby pony INTO A VOLCANO" dark (My Little Pony: Escape From Catrina). And the Smooze song slaps (My Little Pony: The Movie).

Dan B

I enjoyed this ramble video. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail is infectious even if the topic is one I don't normally care about.

Christopher Reedman

Maybe you have not seen the huge market of videos that discuss collectibles, the hobby, the market, which ones to buy, which ones hold value. Ect.

Veronica Williams

I've been so nostalgic about my childhood lately so long videos about my little pony and Barbie movies are so exciting to me. Thank you Jenny 💖

Veronica Williams

I've seen doll painting videos where they'll leave the head in acetone to shrink it, and that's after they've removed the hair and paint job which I'm sure she wouldn't want to do. And I don't know if they're the same kind of plastic, but yeah probably not ideal either way lol

Veronica Douglas

Would love to see a Jenny's favorite and least favorite (or a tiers or ranking) of the MLP movies either on the main channel or patreon! I haven't seen any of the older movies and am curious how they hold up.

Joel Keene

So the Rockin Beats are basically the Lynard Skynard of the pony musical world

Julianna K

oh my god the sheer nostalgia of hearing you name check frank and sons

Steven Clark

There's something incredibly relatable about holding up a toy pony and saying that this one's really exciting because it's beige. It might be the best way you could ever sum up the experience of having a niche interest. I mean, I don't have any real interest in ponies, but I did just spend sixty dollars to get the soundtrack CD for an objectively bad movie, which I'm only buying for one song, which is also objectively bad. And, I don't think I could ever properly explain why I did that. If I tried, I'd probably just sound insane. But, you have to understand: This pony is BEIGE.

Trystan

Is the Beanie Babies video dead? She didn't mention it even in the 'coming long term' prospect list.

Clouds in the Sky

In one of the previous rambles she mentioned that it's on hold for now because she wanted to rewrite some of the video. She compared the making proccess of the Beanie Babies video to the one of the Bronycon where it took a year until it came out. To quote the Rise Of Skywalker Trailer/The Last Jedi: "no one's ever really gone" lol.

Sara Ingvarsdóttir

Man. This video was everything I didn't know I needed right now.

George Fletcher

I don't care about the little plastic ponies, but your energy is so engaging that I loved spending the hour with you.

Joanna M

My favourite pony when I was a kid was called Lemon Drop. She was yellow with purple hair and a cluster of purple teardrop shapes. I’m now so invested in you having ponies that if I knew where she was now (somewhere in my parents’ house?) I’d package her up and send her to you!

Sara Nicole

Your makeup looks so good omg

Joel Eblin

I would buy an HQG1C pony that was Jenny merch.

Z

Yeah, Mimic now usually goes for $200 and the average G1 goes for $10-$20... Oakely the moose ($300-$350) is one I would never ever pay for but would dieee for if I saw it out in the wild haha

Stacey Armstrong

I hope this doesn’t come off creepily, but if you come to Evermore I live pretty close and have friends that were cast members there and we’d love to take you to dinner or lunch or something! And I promise I’m not creepy, just excited

Jacob Crowe

As a pro gamer you should definitely check out the Saw games. The first one is kind of eh as it relies a little too much on traps from the movies although you do get to play as Danny Glover's character (not played by Danny Glover.) The second one is more innovative and actually manages to pull off a genuine Saw twist.

Tori

It's 1 hr and she was like "there's not much to talk about" Also my mom got me a manicure for work and I screwed up my nails in the few days before work.

Kameron Clark

I would love a Saw video just because I think it would be entertaining, but honestly I think you should do it just for the comedy of going from a Barbie ranking directly into Saw.

Natalia Mazzoni Ramos

I would love to see you do a make up tutorial some day, I literally never saw anyone with cuter makeup than you!

Elise

I loved this! I work in museum collections care, so it was wonderful to hear you talk about the different ponies' conditions and the stuff you have learned as you've collected. Plastics are the bane of collections care, since they deteriorate and change in such wild ways as they age. But your ponies are all looking gorgeous and ready to rock!

Johnnie

I also have faith that the second and third parts of the Galaxy's Edge video as well as the Knot's Berry Farm video will still come out eventually.

Conor

loved this

Stephanie Hohn

So this is supposed to be a topic you could never make a video on, yet I would love to watch a video where you went to the UK to scour thrift shops for the elusive boy ponies.

mollying

I would lose my gd mind for the Universal Orlando ranking! I was a passholder in the before times and probably will never be again so I'd love to live vicariously through you

Lindsay Huber

As someone who owns about 25 ponies (mostly g1 hand me downs plus picking up a couple every so often), but never got into the “fandom” this was great. I’m definitely gonna pick up a pair of repro wings for my flutter pony now that I know they exist!

Luis

Wait this hour long ramble was supposed to be a punishment?! But it was so good we definitely need more Jenny's choice vids! Of all the ponies my fav was the so soft pony I gasped when I saw it on screen. lol now I'm checking prices to see if I should get one.

AndyofCT

I collected so much stuff as a kid. This video give me huge nostalgia...

Evelina Eriksson

This is exactly what I wanted when I voted for this option

Gina Kim

now this is the content i signed up for. i started getting into collecting g1 ponies recently too so perfect timing

Sara Jane Webster

YESSSS Evermore! I was just there last weekend for the pre-season “market.” Its a super cute place, they’ve put so much effort into it and the actors are all really into the immersive world of it 💔 I have friends who work there and they were heartbroken when their gigs got cut.

Grillustration

Yesss! BonBon was my favorite too ^^

Rushka Unverricht

I remember my little sister getting a pony for her birthday around '93 or '94, so I guess it must have been G1. I should probably go through our family's old toy sack (yes, I said a sack), and work out just which one it was. (Edit: my sister's confirmed it's a Rainbow Curl pony named Stripes)  Although that would mean seeing parts of my 80's original Megatron that young me took apart when I learned how to use a screwdriver (I always seem to find his accusing disembodied head for some reason). He'd probably be worth something if he was still intact *sigh*.

Eliza Potter

Just here to say that a Saw video sounds great!

Jake Corvus

I can't think of anything I would love more than a saw ranking video. Also, I should get out my MLP collection and even just find out what collections they are from.

Valentina

I also would really like a Saw video, I just finished re-watching the first 8 in prep for Spiral and boy did I have thoughts.

Steve Ray

Or are they the The Misfits?

Rice G.

Jenny I hope you're pleasantly surprised how many people 110% wanted to watch a video about vintage pony collecting. I'm tempted to bump my tier and put a "pony restoration tutorial" as a future ramble topic lmfao Very hype for all upcoming videos, thanks for all your hard work :)

Eamonn

Jenny i LOVE the makeup!

Joel Keene

Except that The Misfits only had one guitarist, and for a period they actually had no guitarists

Ugino

This brought me buckets of joy.

Darleen Shine

I was collecting G4 a few years ago and just started collecting G1! I learned so much about them thaanks! Im totally guilty of using t think they were ugly, but now I think they are so cute! Such an iconic vintage look.

Monica McFadden

I'm so pumped for this video! Jenny, I'm only four minutes in but I wanted to let you know that on the D&D ponies, the tails are on balljoints, so you can pull them out and pop them in again. And that's how you remove the clothes. I did a nerdy review video of this set and you can see how to remove / reinsert the tails at 6:06. https://youtu.be/OWI5i-BXbhk?t=366 Edit: Also the wizard is wearing a Ring of Evasion and, on her robe, a Bag of Holding and Bag of Devouring as illustrated in the D&D rulebooks. I thought that was such a nice little touch. The druid's bunny with a horn is a D&D critter called an almiraj.

Monica McFadden

I hope my running commentary doesn't get annoying, but this topic just brings me such joy. The reason Blossom + co are called the Collector Ponies very early on (like 1984 or so), they were rereleased as a mail order set and Hasbro made a big point about how "These were the VERY FIRST My Little Ponies, the Collector Ponies!" Fun fact: when I was a dumb 12 year old I decided I was too old for ponies so I sold them at a garage sale . . . except Moondancer and Baby Moondancer (my faves) . . . and Cotton Candy. Because Cotton Candy was a COLLECTOR pony, which obviously meant she was VALUABLE. For context, some of the ponies I sold were So-Soft Angel and two flutter ponies with wings.

Monica McFadden

As someone who started in the MLP community pretty early, your Mimic theory is spot on! I got online in 1997 and Mimic already had a reputation for being valuable. At the time I asked collectors who'd been online even earlier if they knew why, and what I was told was the first time she was on eBay, several bidders got into a bidding war over her. (The MLP section of eBay was tiny at the time, so the whole community was keyed in to every sale.) Maybe her bright color scheme was the appeal, or that she was in the Golden Horseshoes episode? Whatever the case, the next couple times she was listed she also sold for a higher than average price (but since MLPs were still very cheap, this would've been like $20), and from there she just got that reputation for being rare / expensive and became a status symbol.

Dee Crosier

Aw, that was a fun video… not “punishing” at all! I’m not a Pony collector, but I am kinda tempted to buy the goth-y “Stranger Things”-themed Applejack… she just looks so frickin’ cool!

Amy Shine

I'm a non voting patron and I would have watched 2 hours of this

Monica McFadden

I'm so pumped about the upcoming Barbie video! I love your long videos, there's just something satisfying about getting such a big-picture overview. (Through the mirror of my mind . . .) Thanks for this ramble, I loved every minute of it. Keep checking those thrift stores, I'm sure you'll find Mimic someday!

Monica McFadden

Acetone is fine on ponies, but it will dissolve some harder plastics . . . I've heard Breyer collectors use it to repair broken legs by basically melting them back together. Acne cream is one to avoid with MLPs, it will leach the dye out and leave an unsightly splotch.

Liz Jones

Omg I had a Sippin' Soda pony! She was purple and I think she was scented with a strawberry scent, which I can still recall.

Jessica Pirnat

all i want to hear about is weird minutiae of fandoms i’m not in. thank you for delivering exactly what i subbed for jenny 👏🏻

aaaaaah!!!!!!

I'd love an Evermore video as well as a Universal Studios ranking video! Also I think you spoiled what the reality show video is going to be on twitter and I'm super excited if it's really that because I actually vaguely remember watching it lol.

Lauryn Watters

I had a bunch of these as a kid so this was a major nostalgia rush

Ben Thorne

european boy pony what a powerful phrase

Stranger Kate

Jenny, I have long since discovered that it literally does not matter the topic you pick, I will listen to you talk about it. I never did collect My Little Ponies as a kid, nor was I part of the Brony resurgence, but I had a great time watching you share your collection.

Elliot Aitken

the upcoming video idea for a universal tier list is so good - i want jenny’s Hot Takes on fast n furious supercharged

Laura Smith

I am so fricken excited for the Barbie video

The Bearded One

Regarding the upcoming Barbie video: I don't know if you're serious about it possibly being 3 hours long, but if so, please consider splitting it into parts of maybe 45-60 minutes. That way, it won't feel like we have to reserve a Snyder-Cut size block of time in order to watch it.

Leahhh

I genuinely would’ve watched twelve hours of this lmao

Dash

Was TOTALLY waiting for your response to this video. Did not disappoint :)

run_away

Ah, wow. I used to have My Little Ponies as a very young kid and then when I got older I used them as steeds and companions for my X-Men and Batman toys. If you have an action figure with articulated joints they're usually the right size to ride an MLP so long as she doesn't have wings. I didn't watch the show since I had no cable, but I had Firefly's Adventure on VHS and I watched at least once a week for many months of my life. My VHS special Firefly was a treasured possession. Firefly is THE My Little Pony for me. Batman rode Sunspot by the way. Not for any reason. Sunspot's just cool and so is Batman. This vid was very nostalgic in a way I'm not really used to... I'm getting phantom smell memories of the 'perfume puff' one I had, lol.

Orca

I got into vintage pony collecting over the pandemic because they’re adorable (a couple of years ago I almost started but told myself to stop cause it’s daft) but now I’m like ‘screw everything, let’s be happy’. So, I have more ponies than I should admit to 😅 I loved this video, I love watching people talking about their collections but it’s lovely to see someone else’s collection of something i collect!

LL

I'm really glad to find out that Starcatcher isn't super rare since she's one of the few G3's I got and later gave away.

Darleen Shine

Omg I just found a Sparkler new in box for 15$ im dying! Im totes gonna open her, don't worry Jenny lol. (Gonna keep the box forever too)

Taylor Lenze

Does anyone know what happened to the beanie babies video?

Isabella Whitesides

I believe she said about two months ago that it wasn’t turning out how she wanted, so she’s shelving it for at least a couple months to revisit later

Lumi Næss

my best friend had that roller skate-pony! The same thing happened to her wheel. lol

Megan Smith

I just started watching, and I know this isn't the point of the video, but it's really validating knowing someone else chews on the skin around their nails! I get so self conscious when I go swimming because you can see all the little nibbled places, and then there's weird areas where they bled and there's scars... I feel your pain. Problem is if I don't chew there, I chew on the insides of my cheeks right next to my mouth so there's really no stopping it. Gum sometimes helps.

Noel Warford

despite knowing nothing about the topic at hand nor having any particular desire to engage with MLP stuff, I actually really enjoyed this video??? i find collectors of all disciplines to be fascinating in terms of what they are looking for and what is or is not valuable (particularly that story about Mimic's strangely high price).

K Sharpe

I loved every second of that

Molly

Wait, so what happened to the Beanie Baby video? Did it come out and I missed it?

Molly

Ok cool, as long as I didn't miss something. I got scared for a second.

flowerbear

Absolutely enjoyed this video. Educational and honestly I just love hearing about collecting something so cute and wholesome as my little ponies. also, please feel free to make the Barbie video an unholy amount of time, as I will be watching it no matter what and want to hear ALL the Jenny hot takes on Barbie movies

who is counting

Come on this commentary is the best, moments like these make me feel that this is such a cool community

Oathian

This is so cool! I love listening to people talk about their collections! It’s always interesting to learn about the rare items, the dups, and the market in general. Thanks for sharing!

Amit N

Well, I just watched someone talk about Ponies for roughly an hour...And I can't say I'm upset about that.

Kit

This was wonderful! I don't collect my little ponies, but I did watch "My Little Pony Tales" and some of "My Little Pony Friends" on Disney channel back in the day. They were such cute cartoons and I remember being fascinated with the toys from afar (but didn't ever ask for them, because I was self-identified tom boy and that felt uncool)--- and this was like childhood me living vicariously through you and learning a lot about ponies! This was fun!!!

Ariadne L

I just want Jenny to rant about Disney AP. Is that such a hard thing to ask for?

Kyolud

You really are one of the only creators where I just like watching your videos no matter what the subject is. I have never cared for My little pony, didn't see it as a kid, never really played with the figures/dolls (?) and here I am, mesmerized and listening and looking up old ponies... I even considered "maybe I should try and see some of the old My little Pony" but I know it's just the Jenny effect!!

Bradley Munley

You really knocked it out of the park with this one Jenny

Kelly Stiver

I also had Tex (have still!) he was great. I always coded Lemondrop, my fav, as a boy. He is long sadly lost :(

Kelly Stiver

Also my flutter pony 100% busted day one, big tears

Steve Ray

You are a rock-music expert! That was a genius-level joke - 5 out of 5 stars, at least! I was thinking of Jem's rivals, not a physical band.

Joel Keene

Next moth and every moth

Richard Reeves

Just weighing in to say that I've never once thought anything looked odd about your fingers, Jenny. You've mentioned them in a couple videos, but they look "normal" on my end. Maybe I need to be watching your videos in 4K, but I can't be bothered to get a new TV lol.

Daniel Haas

I'll vote for "let Jenny do what she wants" any day of the week, I'm significantly more interested in hearing you talk about something you're passionate about than something I'm already pre-interested in.

Sarah Margaret

Dear Jenny, As a long time , pre brony, collector THIS GIVES ME SUCH JOY. Pre-FiM, i was so embarassed and ashamed of my pony collection and would take them down when friends came over, and ashamedly, binned most of them when I had to move. FiM, while bronies...are a different breed (lol), but FiM has definitely helped toy collectors be more out in the open and have it be less "quirky." TY for this video!!! We have so many of the same pony opinions- interesting colors or bust.

Sarah Margaret

PS and a special shout out to TAF munchy and mimic, those are on my list too

libbydd

"jenny needs you to find the difference between this pony and this pony" "theyre the same pony"

libbydd

im just kidding - i CAN see the subtle difference in cheek bones and the different hair colour on the rockstar pony. its just really funny you saying "im not crazy" while holding two ponies up to a camera and insisting theyre different

The Doom Merchant

I'm pretty late to catching up on all the patreon videos from various creators that I haven't watched yet, but I just finished this one, and I gotta say, 10/10. I love hearing people talk at length about really niche topics they're really interested in or immersed in. tbh, if/when you get more of your ponies from your parents' place, if you're inclined to film a follow-up, I know *I* at least would love to see it, lmao

Duchess

My mom recently gave me all my old ponies that have been sitting in her attic for 25 years. This video inspired me to appreciate having them and to give them spa days!

Derek Gossi

This was fantastic, I would listen to 50 hours of this

Conor

Oh no Kurtis Conner just put out a video called Barbie vs brats!!! Wth!!

Dan Gibbins

I might not have voted for this, but I have now watched it three times, never underestimate the entertainment value of interesting people discussing their passions.

Nikki Lev

Agreed with all the positive comments, and I'll just also add that Jenny's makeup is ETHEREAL pink delight and matches her hat really nicely.

Lucky_Lychee

i dont know anything about these ponies but i now love them unconditionally ty for sharing

Snotttie

I LOVE the punk pony and agree it is one of the coolest looking ones!

Ivy Cass

This makeup look is EVERYTHING, Jenny

Magicalbunbun

Shenanigans!!!!!! I love the description on the back of her box.

Magicalbunbun

Starcatcher! I have the one without the plastic wings because I like the little g3 wings

Bog

anyone else unable to see the ramble videos on the master post?? theyre all telling me theyre privated??

Ford Prefect

I know she moved them all to a separate channel but the links in the master post got updated

pierandluft

whyd they have to call him Steamer. like one of the cutest ponies i've ever seen named after a slang term for taking a huge d*mp

Bee

i used to collect ponies when i was younger, i got them all from flea markets and garage sales! i remember hating them gem eyed ones cuz they creeped me out LOL this was a super interesting watch, great topic choice!

bee

anyway i love the pony content

Leif Thomas

I’ve been a toy collector as long as I can remember, so this was right up my alley. Great job!

Maddy

im actually crying right now lol bc i had starcatcher as a kid and i forgot about her until now and she was so special to me

Markus D

I totally agree about the G5 ones not having proper hair being annoying, especially since the toys tended to not be very show-accurate anyway. The Build-a-Bear plushes were an exception though, and I grabbed the Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Celestia, and Luna ones ASAP. Otherwise, I was mostly into the fandom for the show, at least until the later seasons when it started to follow other characters rather than tie up the main 6 story arcs.

Michael Weingartner

I hate that Disney messes up marvel villains, and also that they did Star Wars 9

Hannah Ep

the doll vs figure vs resin thing debate is the funniest thing ever to me. there was a channel where this woman went on, screaming, for like an hour about how pissed she was at people who come to her channel and say how pretty and well decorated her "dolls" are. The personalities there was just the best. I looked it up Leona's workshop.

You say no one would be interested in this but it’s actually one of the videos that I’d been hoping you would make, and I’m not even a pony collector. Thank you!

Oh dang I think the Tales ponies were the ones they had in Norway when I was a kid! I remember playing with those when I was little. If I still had them I'd send them to you but I'm sure they got given away at some point :(

As a non-voter, I really enjoyed hearing about the ponies! My only experience with ponies as a kid was watching one of the movies when I was 9, which terrified me for some reason, and put me off them for the rest of my childhood. I wonder what happened in that movie? I was concurrently playing murder games with my Polly Pockets (because I had to make narrative justifications for why their poorly-made limbs kept snapping off), so I must've really misinterpreted what was going on there

pony collecting is my special interest so this video made me SO happy!! there aren't enough ppl on youtube talking abt the collecting hobby itself (rather than brony content yk)

The dungeon and dragon ponies are some of my favorites in my pony collection too. Im always 100% down for more pony vids from you, cant get enough of them 🤩😭 and im all for getting the ponies you think look the coolest, i feel like thats what makes me happiest with my collection too. I can talk about ponies all day so I’m totally down for more videos like this.

I literally got into ponies because of you! this totally would warrant a main channel video, at least for me

Girafarig

i loved this video

Omg I used to have Star Catcher, she was my favorite pony as a kid and I was obsessed with her. I ended up packing her up when my family moved and her wings got wrinkled which absolutely broke my heart. RIP Star Catcher, I think my mom ended up donating her to a Goodwill somewhere in Wyoming.

Francesco

the fake ponies should be called phonies

Andrew Hill

OK yall got me, I still want ghost train detective game but this one slapped hahaha

Lo

I collected ponies in college so this was super interesting to me! I would be interested in you showing off even more of your collection!

Oh my gosh the sound when you yanked on the brush and grow pony's tail teleported me back to when I was 6 years old! My first pony was "Windy" but I was given her second-hand with no information and the internet wasn't a thing back then, so to me she is still "Sugar" (the name I gave her because of her glittery rump.) Thank you for the memories--loved this video!

I had a few ponies when I was younger. I just recently bought a Cherry Blossom pony on ebay. She was the one I remember best and had a lot of sentimental value. Im sad my mom got rid of my original

Matthew

I'm not a MLP collector but I am a collector and I really enjoyed hearing your takes on everything. It's really cool that the community has come together to do things like make the replacement wings or have custom bases of the classic ponies.

Jenny really underestimates how we will watch literally anything on the main channel. Also nail oil might help with the nails
