Hi guys! Thank you for your patience on the belated ramble.

Please beware of spoilers in the comments below as others may be discussing the many dramatic twists in the film

Rewatching this one and maybe the writing is so bad with no setups etc. because it's all from only the queen's pov written for her blog? In a very casual "I'm writing for memories and not because I'm a professional writer" way. But she is a professional writer, so even then you'd expect her to tell a fuckin story, y'know?

FoxtrotArts

predicting that the baby is a girl

Iain Wall

the lack of a scene where the two kingdoms armed themselves with candy canes and gumdrop cannons from a story that tried so hard to give us an inevitable *Christmas War* is immensely anti-christmas of the movie

Magistrissa

It might seem odd that Amber's blog is named "Amber's Blog" since you'd think someone would've snatched up a name that generic ages ago. I just assume that the royal family sent their secret police to threaten any other Ambers with blogs, and executed anyone resisting with a sham trial.

notgerardway

the war on the war of christmas

Danielle Schatten

during the 1970s the Aldovian secret police were known to accept funding from the CIA to spread covert christmas cheer into soviet penglia

Danielle Schatten

still waiting for Christmas Prince V: The Troubles myself

Danielle Schatten

ok i think what we take away from this is that in this cinematic universe magic exists but instead of working like Game of Thrones or HP or fairy tales or whatever it instead operates on the rules of Jorge Luis Borges' "The Garden of Forking Paths"

Paulie Paul

Another classic! I've seen a breakdown of The (original) Christmas Prince but I don't remember if it was Jenny's and maybe I just watched it out of sequence (since I'm working backward through the timeline). Or maybe she did a mini-revisit in another Christmas movie-themed ramble. Anywayyy... Pondering in 2025... did the McDs Apple Pie tree ever happen? If she was waiting until she hit 1M main channel YouTube subscribers, she's currently at 1.33M

Magistrissa

I love the idea of a war restarting anytime someone loses the physical treaty, even if we've had a dynasty change and the implementation of a constitutional parliament since then. Though I'm pretty sure Aldovia has no representational voting body and the ruling dynasty has stamped out dissent through fear and undermining democratic opposition over the many years it's been in power.

Paulie Paul

"All the 17-year-old reporters in the nation came out for this." 😂 I just rewatched the original Christmas Prince main channel vid so of course I have to rewatch this one too! Oh and last night I was talking with a friend who loves Hallmark movies (both ironically and actually... it can be two things) and I sent her a link to the original main channel Christmas Prince vid. She watched it immediately and replied back "That was amazing!" so I may have made a new Jenny convert!

Katie Kraynak

Is it 1:30am on the night before my finals week? Yes. Will that stop me from watching this one hour video? Absolutely not.

Grerutin

I downloaded the Vimeo app on my tv to experience this as Cinema

Ricm

I was never going to watch the christmas prince 3, but I did have some curiousity after your video on the first two. Happy to see this upload.

HipsterVideo.com

Why are you doing these on Vimeo? I can't watch on my tv. :/

Winona Honey

I suspect it’s probably because Youtube would automatically flag it for copyright

Jenny Nicholson

The 3rd party company that does score for a lot of these cheap movies is really militant with contentid, to the point that using clips of them on youtube is even worse than "real" movies

Charlotte McGrath

A gift for me? Right after I submitted my honours thesis? Jenny, you shouldn't have!!

Dapper Gent

Yes, Jenny's back! Well everyone, "It seems that Christmas...arrived early." *winks at camera

Winona Honey

Okay before I finish the video: I’m betting the Christmas Baby is a boy, only because Amber’s dad is in this one and I think that’ll be a point of tension. Also Amber will call the baby her Christmas Prince at least once. Excited to see what happens next.

Brorsan

I think the baby is going to be a boy!

Joe Bloe

Hot damn. The Grim Christmas Prince Nightmare Facade is my favourite video of yours. I'm hyped.

Katie Kraynak

also I physically cannot look at amber bc all I see is tinker bell from once upon a time 😑

Steve

I wonder if I'm the only one dorky enough to download these and put them on my Plex so I can watch them on my big TV. I need that full Christmas Prince ramble experience.

Ellie

I was so certain I watched this but maybe I didn't? Because watching you go through it I remember nothing that happened.

Matt Penn

I'm glad that you're feeling better, Jenny! I'm sorry that you got so sick. Don't rush your recovery. Take as much time as you need. If we have to wait on content, it's no big deal. You don't want to take chances on your health. Continue to feel better! :)

Francesca White

honey wake up, new Jenny Nicholson Ramble just dropped

Matt Penn

Wow. Peace treaties don't work that way. Each side should have AT LEAST one copy of the treaty. Technically, wars have to be DECLARED. They don't just automatically happen if a treaty isn't renewed.

Papa Q. Bear

I'm starting to worry that the Barbie video will never see the light of day....

Brandon White

Jenny: I saw an Apple Pie tree at a garage/scrap yard in Littlerock CA. Not sure if it's for sale but I have the address if you want it

Jonathan H

Pronounced "Pelesh" and not far from Transylvania - sounds like prime content opportunity to me! Thanks for the fun videos! Much appreciated!

Richard Reeves

The best part of a late ramble is that another is right around the corner. As for the movie, the sets seem so sparsely populated with extras, I was convinced this had been filmed during the pandemic and released last Christmas. Turns out, it just looks cheap!

who is counting

I love the "excitement" for the apple pie tree. Reminds me of the legendary disney email video

Ashu +18 Art

WHERE ITS MY BARBIE TOP VIDEO!

Jenny Nicholson

So you're saying if somebody DMs me like "I'm romanian nobility & I've got a hookup for you to stay in that castle" it's a vampire trap instead of a normal murder trap

Kailey Kairo

Dehydrating medication gang 🤘😔🤘

micah

omg. this was so worth the wait i love the christmas prince video so much

B

Maybe they exist in an alternate reality where curses are proven to be real? Side note: is it just me or does the population of this country decreases with every movie? Maybe it's another curse

viruviruviru

Is Toruk still on the table?

viruviruviru

Also, if I may, I would like to recommend you the movie "Rex: kyoryu monogatari", a japanese Christmas movie about a little girl and her dinosaur friend. I think it'll be right up your alley.

Anna Glin

I'm sorry but I really don't like this movie review style :/ are all rambles gonna be like this now?

Reese

So excited for this, thank you! 😄

Someonetobe

The script was likely written in one pass, for about 500 dollars.

Chelsea Clark

It’s based on popular vote, so I doubt it’ll continue forever.

Chelsea Clark

I know I watched it when it came out, declared it one of the most bonkers things I’ve ever seen, and apparently promptly forgot almost everything because I remembered maybe two details from it when I watched it a couple of weeks ago.

Chelsea Clark

Wait. This might be my way to get my mom to watch these movies after years of resistance. I’m pretty sure that actress was also in iZombie and my mom LOVES iZombie. She brings it up every time Once Upon a Time is discussed (which is…more than it should be. Our conversations are weird) because of Tinkerbell.

Trystan

The idea that a 600-year-old peace treaty still has to be upheld is so funny to me. Like they can't just instantly sue for peace (if they even felt the need to) the moment the contract 'ends'.

Bullseye

I want to see a version where they end up going to war and they all have Christmas-themed weapons.

Dundough Breadbox

:sighs in consistent second and third most popular losses: -- not a complaint, but a consequence of polls. Imagine having to decide singularly instead.

Anna Glin

yeah I'm too poor to see the polls lol. good to know there are still other options

Dundough Breadbox

Time for some hot sipping chocolate for watching.

Conor

Woot!!

Lumi Næss

I saw this movie with a friend of mine and at some point we both got convinced the movie was called "The cursed baby". It's a much better title, but maybe not for the intended audience.

IHateBerwald

Christmas Prince and the cursed child on broadway when

Luis

I love Jenny's commentary it's always better than the movie. I'm hype for all these future projects but really looking forward to seeing the apple pie tree in the background!

Natalie Arnold

Haven't had time to watch the ramble yet but I gotta ask - why are the recent rambles all in this watchalong reaction format? Is this a permanent change? If that's what Jenny wants to do with the rambles now, fine, but I have to say reaction videos (even from Jenny!) are the most boring kind of content to me. And I'm a person who watches mathtube. Plus, you can't listen to this kind of ramble, you have to be looking at the screen (those who get it will get it and the rest will think this is an extremely strange thing to say about a video) Have mercy on the small giant spiders and stop voting for "reacting to movie" topics, oh wealthier patrons!

Shelby Fawn

the structure you mentioned for a romantic movie series is a good one, and I know because the lovely Renaissance Fair themed romance book series Well Met does it. having new romances each book means you don’t have to have some contrived conflict in the original couple, and having them be minor characters feels more like seeing old friends. 10/10 would recommend (unlike this mediocre movie)

Sean Kernan

"If that treaty isn't signed my baby is cursed" is one of my favorite, stupid cheesy lines in any movie ever.

James Rule

I lost my voice once. It was terrifying. I honestly thought my voice would never go back to normal.

Kristin

I know they’re in a castle so it makes sense to have a dungeon but I kind of wish the dungeon was just a massive storage in the basement that they called the dungeon because it’s where they store all the decorations for other holidays that have been banned in Aldovia. ONLY CHRISTMAS put the other holidays in Christmas jail

Kristin

Then it turns out the curse was real and the treaty was stolen by the Home Depot 12 foot pumpkin skeleton who needs to be defeated by the magic of Christmas.

Mindy

Loved this, Jenny! Regarding what you said about these types of movies being very kind of soulless and bland with the romance without even trying to make it more fun, I totally agree. I watch a lot of Korean dramas and I notice a lot of US media outlets often compare romantic Korean dramas to Hallmark movies due to the relative conservative nature of your average Korean public broadcast romance (because public broadcasters have censors to follow so their content is suitable for most audiences), but they make the character dynamics a lot more interesting and have much better production values even when they fall into similar tropes. A lot of this is because, obviously, Hallmark movies are a niche section of the US industry and they don't exactly attract the best actors or screenwriters/directors while a Kdrama romance is mainstream in the industry and is more capable of getting famous and capable cast and crew (and money). I really like recommending Kdramas to Hallmark-esque romance fans who want something a little different but still somewhat conservative because of this! Of course, with the rise of cable and streaming shows things are changing a lot and you can definitely find some less conservative K-romances out there, but I still think they appeal to the demographic that likes to watch these types of movies--as long as they're open to reading subtitles.

Mindy

I think it's just that these are the types of videos the patrons have been voting for. Remember, it's the higher tier patrons that end up deciding the ramble, not Jenny herself (unless there is a tie)! Hopefully next time people can suggest something that isn't "Jenny watches a movie".

quaarkbeast

Omg I love how Jenny predicted every single thing about the plot, lolol

Kelly Stiver

Wasnt this the same fucking issue as #2 or am I getting my thin knowledge of movies I’ve never watched confused?

Dan Gibbins

My YouTube recommendations have been pushing "The Grim Dystopia of the Christmas Prince" pretty hard lately. Even through my parents' YouTube after I made them watch the Avatar and Evan Hansen videos. YouTube knew what was coming and wanted me prepared. The thing is I have a Mr. Little-style blood oath to stan anyone from iZombie, so this was a fun way to see what Rose McIvor (Queen Amber) did on Christmas Prince 3 while maintaining my streak of never actually watching a Christmas Prince movie. Hooray for that! Also I'm sure I'm not the only one to say it but I'm fine to wait two weeks for a ramble so you can take care of yourself, hope you continue to feel better.

Bryan Sutton

I hope somebody can greenlight Jenny's treatment of a Hallmark/Lifetime Christmas romance movie with an assassination subplot.

Kelly Stiver

Moment where the other king sings at the party and having to sit through it 100000% the thing I fear most in life. Well not a king but you know.

Kelly Stiver

IS THAT A TACKY HEART SHAPED RING???

Ugino

I was rooting so hard for the Payless Castle royal lesbian affair

Papa Q. Bear

CP2 was the one with the actual wedding and the people being on strike because of some kind of financial skulduggery.

Ky

I just watched Agatha Christie's "a crooked house" and the girl who played princess Emily is in it and I kept thinking "she looks soooo familiar but why? Oh!! The little princess from Christmas land"

Ky

I just listened to this instead of watching it it still works fine, I was sorting my socks into pairs. Also the Scooby Doo one is good to listen along with at least for me

Natalie Arnold

Did every sock find its match? I'm about to start a load of laundry myself and I dread losing any socks. I have a lot of cute and hard to replace socks.

TalysAlankil

okay but can we talk about the fact that aldovia apparently takes up like…half of eastern europe???

Kelly Stiver

now I need to know why I knew that was a plot of one when I have watched zero of these movies.

Penguin Gabe

Oh man I would LOVE another musical based video from you, I know next to nothing about that entire realm of content so its very entertaining to hear it relayed to me like the evan hansen vid or beastless or whatever the fuck that was called. Also beanie babies are a genuinely interesting topic, a cool study on the effect of mass media hype and FOMO. Honestly just whatever you make Im here for it lol

Dan Gibbins

Definitely one of my top two shows about someone pretending to be psychic to solve murders.

Dan Gibbins

I don't know which was better, Jenny having guessed the entire plot by trying to make fun of it, or how incredulous she got at the climax.

Lovely

I loved how Jenny kept trying to wish an execution into the plot XD .

Mo

I somehow really loved the Diana musical even though I knew as I watched that it was bad. So I'd love to see a video from you on it. It's closing on Broadway now though, so you might not get the chance to see it unless you go now.

S L

The rambles are based on what wins for that month - when a movie review wins (i.e. scary movie review) then they will be in this format. When it is a different topic (unrelated to a movie\episode review) they will not be in this format.

Harry

There's so many better options in the polls, I don't understand how these keep getting votes. I was really hoping for something different this month.

That Italian Guy

The Butler did it - what a shocking and unexpected twist!

Miriam Gold

Pretty sure when they said beshrewed they meant it. Clearly the baby will be born a shrew

Garnavis

In the event of a war, does Aldovia have a standing army or would they rely on a peasant levy

Brittany Rees

I think the Diana musical closed? Or is closing?

Evan

yo jenny you were right about it breaking the rules, knox's 8th says that the case may not be solved with clues that are not presented

Conor

Thanks Jenny! I love the movie watch along videos. Hope you get back to feeling 100% soon.

Conor

The Christmas prince vid was so funny so I’m glad we got this update

Neil Dutton

Chekov's Baby Monitor requires that you NEVER SEE OR HEAR ABOUT THAT DAMN BABY MONITOR AGAIN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

Jiminy’s Journal

The baby will be intersex and raised nonbinary. Or maybe I’m just giving this franchise too much credit.

Terence Digan

In quarantine, some friends and I came up with a bunch of fake movie titles and one of them I suggested was “A Christmas Prince 4: The December Revolution”.

TJ Guiney

in A Knight Before Christmas, a medieval knight is teleported to modern america to fall in love with vanessa hudgens. in that movie, they mention aldovia. which means that magic is real in this universe and they were in fact right to be scared that their baby would be cursed

Adam Leibowitz

If you want to see the Diana Musical in person, you have to hurry because they just announced its closing on December 19th.

Liz

genuine question, do y’all have ideas you want to see for the next ramble?? i’m a pardner tier patron but i have no idea for what to submit this month!! also i submitted the christmas prince idea so i feel kinda bad for all the people that didn’t like it

Ben Detrixhe

"Whoever wrote this - they didn't care! Or they weren't smart. But probably...well, maybe both actually." I laughed so hard at that.

Ola Sarcasm

great video! worth the wait 100%

Natalie Arnold

Aww don't feel bad! I complained about the format but I don't want to attack anybody. As for ideas... AFAIK Jenny has never done a full video about pokémon. She has pokémon merch and has mentioned it before but a ramble about pokémon could be fun? Which games has she played and which does she like? Which pokémon are her favourites? Does she like the series/movies? If she could design a pokémon section of super nintendo world how would it be? I will name a pokémon Liz after you if you do it (in Brilliant Diamond or in Sword)

Jenny Nicholson

What SL said, but to add: if it's a movie review of like a mainstream theatrically released movie that people are likely to have already seen/be familiar with, it wouldn't be in this format. I started doing it for the JKR biopic because I found it extremely unlikely anyone would have ever seen it, and I couldn't think of a way to just discuss it in any way* that would be interesting to people in light of that. A full-fledged scripted video going back to harvest clips is a little beyond the editing time needed for a ramble, so the watchalong style talking about the clips realtime felt like the best compromise. But yeah if the topic was like Spiderman or something I'd probably just talk about it like a classic ramble, unless the prompt was "watches spiderman"

Laura

Oh man when I first watched this I rewound the part where Emily says the baby will be cursed like three times, I adore it. She takes it SO seriously. Magic is not established to exist in this universe, and yet.... Though I *think* there's a nod to the fake country in The Knight Before Christmas. Like someone has an ornament from there? And magic is 100% established in that universe, so maybe the curse was real after all. (For the record, the Princess Switch trilogy is my favorite of the Netflix Christmas movies. The last one gets bad reviews, but I think they just don't understand the art that is having three Vanessa Anne Hudgens's impersonating one another)

Monica McFadden

I lost my MIND every time the baby-curse was brought up, like howling with laughter. Thank you for taking us on this journey, it was amazing.

Monica McFadden

My neighbors got the 12 foot skeleton from Home Depot or wherever. They left it up all through November, and come December they just put a Santa hat and white beard on it. Would the Christmas Prince approve or be disgusted at such blasphemy?

MW

and yet in The Princess Switch triology Vanessa Hudgens both watches A Christmas Prince in movie 1 and in movie 2 the christmas prince attends her wedding so that raises many questions

Liz

honestly I never played/watched Pokemon and don't even understand the premise but those are my favourite Jenny videos, when they're about stuff I have never cared about lol. that would be fun!

Kathryn Henny

I have experienced Laryngitis and I'm sorry you had/have it. I know its not a contagious/viral thing always and can literally just be cause by overexertion. I love your content for its thoughtfulness but also empathy so I get feeling this need to express without the physical ability. I'm just enjoying your content and not passing judgement. Our bodies do not always reflect our mind, is what I'm trying to convey with this reply/comment/response/whatever.

salem

im gonna say its twins one boy one girl

Rushka Unverricht

It always seems amusing that in a series called The Christmas Prince, the prince himself is the most bland character of all the cast. You could write him out of one of these movies in the first 5 mins, bring him back right at the end, and you almost wouldn't notice.   Weirdly, I think the Christmas Prince video was the first video of Jenny's that I watched from beginning to end. I was doing some work and had YouTube on autoplay on my tv, the CP video came on and I ended up watching it more than working lol. Good luck with the Hugo Awards Jenny!

AW

And also Belgravia (another fictional Netflix Christmas Cinematic Universe country) takes up the *other* half and both of them are seemingly british-style monarchies populated with people who speak English with a British accent. I wonder what happened in the alternate NCCU history to make *that* happen... Inquiring minds want to know 🧐

TalysAlankil

and then penglia is set in the caucasus but the characters are east asian?

Fergus C

also if Aldovia exists in the universe of A Knight Before Christmas, and the Christmas Prince and Amber went to the coronation in The Princess Switch… that means there’s a FOURTH Vanessa Hudgens running around somewhere in that universe.

Melissa

I'm torn because I would love to see you eviscerate Cursed Child but I also believe nobody should do anything that gives JKR money... definitely excited for whatever content you make and whatever order it comes out in :) I liked the Evermore previews so I hope it's not too big a pain to take care of all the legal CYA, because I'm very excited for the full video of that whenever it's completed

Dundough Breadbox

Late* watcher. Glad you feel better. Your critical eye catches otherwise casual curiosities. High spirits

Ky

I'm kinda sad nobody in the movie said "this FRAUDULENT Christmas baby" ! But they could use that for the sequel, my idea for Xmas prince 4 is "Christmas prince: the princess switch" and they switched the babies!! :O

Ky

I loved knight before Xmas, put it on to make fun of it and ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would, it's pretty charming

Melissa

she was talking about seeing the play if she did a trip to Broadway, and I know tickets to that aren't cheap. it's free to read the play and dunk on it, but I don't wish reading it on anybody

Markus D

It drives me crazy that ALL the royalty, even from other countries, speak with an extremely affected posh English accent.

Heather McConnell

Hey Jenny! Professional opera singer/voice teacher here. Have you thought about how you support your speaking voice? As a YouTuber, you are definitely a professional vocalist, so you need to use your abdominal muscles to support the sound the way an opera singer does. It will definitely help with regards to longterm vocal health, although I would recommend seeing an ENT and speech language pathologist given how often you have been losing your voice.

Odin Linga

My favourite part of this movie is that they show a map where Aldovia is somehow a larger version of Austria-Hungary that includes Istanbul

Dee Crosier

Thanks for this video, and I hope you feel all-the-way-better soon. :) I love the idea of a “ticking clock” peace treaty, where if you don’t renew it on time everyone is immediately overcome by an unquenchable bloodlust, and every first-born child devolves into a hideous monster! Shame they didn’t go with that alternate ending…

who is counting

damn this is such a wholesome exchange <3 <3

Liz Jones

I really don’t enjoy the watch-along rambles 😞 nothing against Jenny’s commentary (which I’m sure is great!) I just can’t abide the double audio. voting tier patreons pls give us a normal-format ramble this month?

Eileen Nguyen

I was just wondering as I watched this video, "wait, is that the girl from A Crooked House?" but clearly not enough to want this movie on my Google search history, so thank you!

John Cosker

I've watched Jenny's Christmas Prince 1+2 video enough times I can recite the facts and history of the labor crisis in Aldovia by heart, meanwhile Jenny can't even remember the first two and also if she has even seen the third one. I need to go outside I think.

Jeff McManus

Got a hearty laugh from "Is the king going to push for Aldexit next?"

Jillian

A girl for sure!

Jillian

Her going from "magic? lol" to "gasp! my baby! felt very "I'm not superstitious... I'm a little stitious."

Richard Reeves

The topic "Jenny discusses the recent changes at Disney World" was a close second in the November vote, with exactly 100 fewer votes than this one. There's often a variety of cool topics that get plenty of votes, so here's hoping the back-to-back commentary videos have just been a coincidence and don't portend an epic schism among Patreon supporters: The Ramblers vs. The Commentariat! Actually...that might make for good fan-fiction... 🤔

Emilio Bustamante

I think its fascinating how these genre movies always operate under the assumption that the made-up countries are microstates in Western Europe like Andorra or San Marino but at the 9:30 mark we see a map of Aldovia and its huge! and in Eatern Europe...?

Emilio Bustamante

How cosiderate of Aldovia, a country that at some point emcmpased the entiere Balkan region, to adopt English as its national language for Amber, probably just before she got there! Actually, no... because the treaty was English!

Emilio Bustamante

I love how when Amber at the climax said "Someone in this room stole the treaty!" and its a tacit admition (although I dont think they filmakers realized it) that these movies are so low budget that they cant even hire extras to "populate" the castle. These people are literal royals yet theres not a single maid, or cook or stable hand working on the palace, They dont even have a live-in doctor despite the fact the queen mother is in her elder years and the princess has cerebral palsy. I know thats kinda of weird thing to fixate on, but its pretty noticibale if you so much as think about it Elleri... thats some GOT-ass name

Luisa

Bet my friends the baby would be a boy and I lost $10 :(

resnet

wait I just watch Princess Switch 3 and there are some very similar elements between them LOL what's going on

Jenny Nicholson

That's true saying "someone in this room did it" in this film doesn't exclude any member of the cast

Steve Ray

Can you recommend some good kdramas for us to start with?

Steve Ray

They do in Aldovia.

Emily in Prague

I thoroughly enjoyed this, idk what it is about watching you accurately predict every story beat that delights me so much. Just wondering on the status of the Barbie video? My friend and I are coming up to our annual rewatch of the top tier films and it reminded me :)

Kate Shannon

'i love tacos' humor is just notlikeothergirls humor

Morgan Ferguson

I've been having a hard time lately and your content is comforting thank you jenny

Megan Onuma

I’m really glad that you’re feeling better, Jenny! And thank you for talking about vaccination. (From an immunosuppressed fan)!

Michael Chui (Duiker)

So, I asked Google. Google says "beshrew" has two meanings: 1. make wicked; 2. be cursed. ... *checks Etymonline for etymology* ... Shrew as in "The Taming of the Shrew". ... Y'all, maybe there is a curse and the result is that your firstborn is a daughter with opinions and we're going to find out in CP4 that the curse still happened and is a great thing.

Liesl

Great getting the final chapter in the Christmas Prince trilogy (for now)! Would love to hear your take on Diana the musical :)

E. Rose Nelson

I was watching with headphones and definitely repeated that one to my partner for him to share the joy.

E. Rose Nelson

I had to check the release date to figure out if I was pregnant when it aired (no, but I think I was for the first one?), and I find all the pregnancy-related stuff kind of tedious, too. Actually, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I was much more likely to watch your videos than obsess about other people's babies and pregnancies.

Carl Watkins

I love that you don't remember stuff from the first two films. Like you made the Christmas Prince video and that was you purging the entire experience from your brain to protect it.

Ford Prefect

"I feel like a watermelon" "well don't wear GREEN" LOL

Robbie G

Mr Little was way more concerned about the baby curse than he was about forcing his whole country to go to war.

Jerry Nicholson

In the Christmas Prince alternate timeline, the ancient English empire ruled from the Adriatic all the way to parts of western Mongolia. They crucified Christ.

Ford Prefect

It's good to see Aragog and Skippy getting along so well

Vossen Art

Unrelated, but I remember Jenny mentioning a couple of times she was planning on going to the Efteling and wanted to recommend Toverland, it's another theme park in NL and I have been a couple of times. It's got some interesting characters, and areas themed after Ithaca and Avalon. It's a bit more targeted towards younger children but if you're already going to the Netherlands it might be worth it! It also has a dark ride called Merlin's quest.

Ash Morehouse

I'm so glad you pointed out how the nutcrackers weren't even real nutcrackers they were driving me insane as soon as they appeared on screen - like they look green-screened in the scene lmao

luella

the treaty drama reminds me of how Berwick-upon-Tweed is still at war with Russia 😭

Sara Lemanski

I can't wait for The Christmas Prince 4: The Royal Divorce

Steve Ray

@Dundough Breadbox: No need to imagine what single-topic Ramble voting would be like, if you go back and read old posts and comments. #ChestertonsFence

Natalie Martin

Jenny I’ve been to that castle it’s actually really cool so if you’re ever in Europe it’s worth a visit

Dan Gibbins

Rewatching this ramble reminded me of something. Jenny's point about mysteries hiding a key detail (like the butler's family history) being unfair is my biggest issue (of two) with classic Veronica Mars as a series. Much as I loved the show, they were nearly always hiding the one detail that solved the Big Mystery until the finale.

Devin M

If Aldovia exists in The Princess Switch but is also a movie… what if in our universe The Christmas Prince is a so-bad-it’s-good Christmas movie, but in the Princess Switch universe it’s a Truman Show situation? But what the Princess Switch universe doesn’t know is that they are entertainment in our universe. Does that mean the British royal family is actually a trashy Christmas movie in some other universe?

Kristin

It’s a Christmas spy. He was sent by Halloween to gain their favor and spy on the royals but he is charmed by the joy of Christmas so he becomes a double agent and takes down the evil other holiday spirits

Vita_s

i just. Elleri rhymes with celery and i will never be able to let that go

Wakelyn

the baby is going to be an assassin

Joe Adams

excellent point about the people who constantly talk about how they like tacos .... yeah, not funny or interesting

haley kaufeldt

Can I just say that, as a pregnant person, no these in jokes are just as boring and gross to me as they are to you lol when ever you said ew I died with laughter. Pregnancy “jokes” cringe

Sophia Rose Coffey

Jenny should watch Skeleton Jelly on YouTube. A terrific short film.

Andrew Limbacher

I fricking choked and shouted at my phone when Jenny made that dead baby joke.

Nicholas Nagawiecki

The Christmas Prince castle you're talking about is Peles Castle. It's in Romania and it's sort of a historical building. But it's not a real castle. It's really just a mansion built to look like one. I appreciate that the Romanian-ness is sort of present in the movie too. They didn't just find a pretty building in Romania and pretend it was... like, France or something. And the actors in the battle seen do sort of resemble Huns. But Nobody in the actual movie actually looks Romanian.

Cursed Child is absolutely abysmal. I'm a fan of HP in general and love plays (especially over musicals) but all of it was just. So. Cringe. That being said, I'd love a Jenny video on such a garbage waste of money. There were some cool effects though! I guarantee those IATSE employees weren't paid enough.

The map is absolutely hilarious. All this time I'd been think Aldovia is one of those town-sized countries like Monaco or San Marino, but apparently it's one of the largest countries in Europe. Just think, in this universe, Dracula takes place in Aldovia.
