Hello my beloved friends!

I am really proud to present you today this new birdhouse design; The Classic guitar!

Almost everyone knows someone who plays the guitar, which makes it a fantastic gift and will be a popular seller.

I wasn't too sure about my approach and the first drafts when I started this project, but as it took shape I started to love it more and more!

However, there's a few things to know about it;

-First, like most of my designs, this one is totally support free and easy to print.

-The project is scalable. I invite you to read carefully the notes at the bottom regarding the scaling before starting this project. You may want to take some notes too regarding the scaling.

-The project in is actual form is printable on a mini printer. BUT, the result will be a small birdhouse, only good for really small birds. Or to use it as a decorative birdhouse if you prefer.

-All the parts are already placed in the right orientation for printing.

-All the parts have color-coded names and quantities when applicable.

-Two bambulab project files are included. Refer to the scaling notes to know what are your options.

-The multicolor parts are done with color changes at height. That means any kind of printer can do this project. If you have a regular printer and are not familiar with color changes, send me a private message and i will help you with this.

-For the Bambu Lab usersm the project files already have the layer changes set, BUT WITH COLOR CHANGE AT HEIGHT and not with the paint tool. YOU NEED TO SLICE THE PLATE to see all the color changes in the preview.

-You will need (8x) M3x10mm screws.

SCALING THE PROJECT:

PRUSA MINI AND A1 MINI PRINTERS: Like i said above, the actual project (100%) is made for mini printers. Print the parts as is. Use the above hardware. (Quick note: I will add a Bambu Lab A1 mini project file tomorrow)

ENDER 3, PRUSA MK3S+ OR EQUIVALENT PRINTERS:

Scale all the files to 120%. You will need to change the above hardware for no.6 self tapping screws (Or 3.5mm Self tapping screws if you are using metric hardware)

BAMBU LAB X1C OR P1 SERIE USERS: Scale all the files to 133% and replace the M3 screws with M4 screws. Use 10 or 12mm lentgh screws. You can also use one of the two Bambu Lab project files included; One is the original scale, the other one is already scaled to 133%.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Follow the instructions carefully and the order of assembly. Don't be shy to look at more than one step at a time, to understand how the next steps are gonna be made.

MAKE SOME DRY FIT CHECKS (without glue). I can't say it enough, dry-fit checks are crucial to understanding how the parts are positioned together.

This project can only be use with the new birdhouse support (same as the cat birdhouse).

Use at least 4 walls (i recommend 5) to have a sturdy design and strong mounting holes.

So that's it my friends!

If you have any kind of problem or some questions regarding the project, feel free to send me a private message and i will try to help you as much as i can.

Have fun my friends! Hope you like it!Pascal

Love it, what material do you recommend using? Will PLA+ stand up to outside heat?

Darknynja

One of my new favorite birdhouses. Thank you for designing this.

I love this! I've been wanting to make a fairy house from an old guitar but I've been afraid to try to take it apart. lol! I'm going to turn this into a house. Thank you!!!

Hi, I would like to ask, if would be possible to you to create “companion bird feeders for the bird houses you already created, like, for the “the castle” maybe create an siege trebuchet bird feeder, for the gothic chapel, something related to it? Thanks.

Gwynnevere

Oh wow, awesome, Pascal! <3

Just curious does the PLA handle the heat I am in Florida? I was told PLA softens

Cort

PLA will soften in the heat VERY quickly! For anything being used outside, you need to print using a filament rated for outdoor use. I recently bought a bunch of colors of ASA filament that had good ratings on Amazon that claims to withstand outside temps as well as being UV resistant. It does print at a much higher temp though, so your printer will need to handle that. I haven't printed with it yet, but I'm hoping to soon.

This is so cool! Would love to see more things that are musical inspired
