Hello my dear friends!
Well here it is finally, the new Hot Wheels diorama!
I think it needs no introduction!
This model has been requested dozens and dozens of times! Many modifications, reworks, tests and inconclusive trials have finally resulted in this little gem. I had a lot of difficulty achieving this level of lighting, and the most important thing for me was that it remained easy for you!
In the end I am very happy with the final result and i'm sure you'll be too!
Pamela has taken several photos from several angles, in different lighting and situations. So you have heighteen photos for your different needs.
Honestly, the only thing missing is the smell of frying! 😂
Allrigh enough jokes, let's move on to the main points of the project!
-The projects print without supports
-It is compatible with a "mini" type printer, thanks to the modular baseplate.
-The parts are already placed in the correct orientation for 3d printing
-The file names are coded by color and quantities
-A Bambu Lab project file (3mf) is included for the whole project
-Full instructions are included in exploded views
-Some parts require color changes (colors are specified in the file name). All can be done on a conventional printer. If you are not familiar with color changes, let meknow and I will help you.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
-Follow the instructions exactly. Do not skip any steps and do not hesitate to refer to the next steps in advance in order to better understand the assembly. The assembly of this model is a little different from other Hot Wheels dioramas, so follow the instructions provided carefully.
-Use at least 3 walls, 10% of your favorite infill.
-For the Bambu Lab project file, the colors are already set by LAYERS and not painted. You must slice the plate first in order to see the color changes applied in the preview.
I have put pictures of my wiring and my connections for the LEDs in the "wiring pictures" folder. However, you are free to use the material you like. I am not a specialist in this area, so this is really for reference. My setup does not require any soldering, so for those who are terribly bad at soldering like me, this is a great way to make your connections neatly.
Materials I used for the lights:
COB LED STRIP
22awg WIRE:
COB LED CONNECTORS:
SELF SOLDERING HEAT SHRINK:
3m DOUBLE FACE TAPE:
So that's it!
Have fun friends! And thanks for your patience! :)
