Good evening, my dear friends!
A new Hot Wheels diorama has been added to the collection!
I needed a garage to house my little BRE Datsun Sunny Truck. So I created one!
It's BRE-themed, but it can ultimately be customized with any colors/sponsors.
Many elements are new. A few others come from other dioramas, such as the NGK sign, which comes from the drag strip.
You can follow the theme I chose, but you can also customize it however you like and use elements from other dioramas, such as the drag strip sponsors, the tools/cabinets from the earlier dioramas or the cones from the construction site.
Like most of my Hot Wheels dioramas, it has the following features:
- All parts print without supports.
- The project can be printed on a mini-sized printer.
- All parts are positioned correctly for printing.
- Some parts require color changes, but this can be done on any type of printer. If you're notfamiliar with layered color changes, send me a private message and I'll be happy to guideyou.
- Complete instructions are included. It's important to follow them carefully to avoidmistakes.
- A BambuLab project file is also included. See notes below.
NOTES:
- Some parts are very small. I therefore recommend using at least 3 or 4 walls for a minimumof strength.
-In the BambuLab file, you'll see that there are three small workshop stools on the bed. Thisis to reduce the temperature in the part during printing. You can use one, two, or three inyour diorama, it's up to you. If you have a printer other than BambuLab, I suggest putting atleast two stools on your bed to achieve the same result and have a bit of cooling time whenmoving from one part to another.
-If you have difficulty with small parts, feel free to add a brim. Or if you prefer good oldfashioned glue sticks, go for it; we won't judge you here! :)
-I used tweezers to position the small parts. It will help you greatly if you do the same.
-The tool chest wheels are infinitely small. The meticulous fool that I am absolutely wantedthem, but honestly, they're optional. You can glue the tool chests directly to the floor if youdon't want to struggle with the mini wheels.
-Finally, in the BambuLab project files, all the color changes are applied but by layers. Notpainted. So you need to slice the plate first to see the colors of each multicolor part in theprint preview.
All filaments used are from Polymaker's Polyterra range, except for the following two:
-Clear filament: Spectrum - Translucent
-Blue: Overture PLA Digital Blue
If you have any questions about the project, please let me know!
I'll be back tomorrow with three more new models, as well as an update on upcoming projects!
Have fun my friends!!!
