Hello friends!

Here it is finally! The Easter fairy house!

And it was quite an adventure!

First, I started with a completely different design, which gave me nothing but problems. A kind of Easter basket that, the further the project progressed, became uglier and farther from what I wanted. I'm the kind of guy who can't publish something he doesn't like, so I threw it all away and started over.

So I thought, "Why not make a complete village in the theme of last year's fairy house... A new egg-shaped fairy house every year, to create a unique and super cute Easter village?"

That's what I did.

A simple egg, wrapped in ribbon and topped with a pretty bow. A pretty landscape, an oval base to differentiate it from the round bases, and we finished it all off with a pretty little carrot garden! Simply adorable!

The project is obviously multi-part and you can print it on any type of printer.

Just like last year's egg, it is possible to print it without supports, but I strongly recommend placing a single support in the center to support the center of the inner arch.

All other parts print without supports.

The base is printed with a color change and fuzzy skin.

The settings for the fuzzy skin are as follows:

-Point distance: 0.55

-Thickness: 0.3

The windows and carrots also require color changes, which can be done on any printer. If you are not familiar with color changes, send me a private message and i will give you some links with tutorials and infos on how to do it.

As I always mention, in the BambuLab project, the color changes are already defined by LAYERS. They are not painted, You must slice the plate to see them.

The fuzzy skin on the base is also already defined in the BambuLab project.

NOTE: The ribbons are very thin and printed on their sides. An adhesion problem could occur if your build plate isn't properly cleaned or if certain settings need to be adjusted. I recommend (if you're having trouble) applying a little glue stick to your bed or adding a brim for these parts.

The project can be scaled up but not down. The thicknesses are already at a minimum, so it's quite difficult to make the project smaller. However, as I said, enlarging it is very easy.

Like all fairy houses, some artifacts may appear on the exterior of the house around the cutouts for the windows and doors. It's important to slow down your print speed on the exterior walls to around 40-60 mm/s if you want to eliminate this problem. These settings are already adjusted in the BambuLab project.

Regarding the filament i have used, all the colors are from the Polyterra collection (Polymaker), except for the clear one which is Spectrum filaments Translucent PLA.

So I won't take up any more of your time! You've already waited too long for it, i'll let you go print it out!

Have fun, my friends!!! Hope you like it as much as i do!

I like the idea of a basket! Perhaps you can refine it as a picnic basket for a summer fairy house

Love this design! When I open the Bambu lab project files, none of the colors show up like previous designs? Is it a me thing? Thank you!

Frédéric Lallement

I open the project in Orca , it's ok for the colors ... be aware that some colors won't be visible unless you sliced the plate as it's color swap at layer height ( as the carrot ) but it's written in the plate name. BUT in bambu studio 1.10.1.50 it's indeed all white , BUT in the version 2.0.1.50 it's ok :)

Chris West

Nothing to remix yet. He needs to create the picnic basket first.

Apryl Satterlee

Thank you, I guess that's what happens when you upgrade. LOL

I think it would be awesome if time were spent making the fairy houses upscaled to birdhouses and hollowed out.

Pascal, last year you released a miniature tealight village. Will you be adding to the village this year?

Not sure why but when I load the 3mf file, it loads fine. But when I switch the printer from the p1s to the X1 carbon it erases one plate leaving some objects floating. And some of the multi-color plates switch to a single color. I've never seen this happen before. Maybe its the latest Bambu Studio? Never mind. I checked and there was another update for Studio. Once I loaded that, the issues stopped. It loads correctly now. That was strange...

Super cute, love it!
