Good evening, my fantastic friends!
I hope everyone is doing well! :)
Well, here it is finally, the brand new fairy house! The candy house!
Licorice, lollipops, cream, chocolate, and little candies decorate this super colorful scene!
Pamela really loves it, and she's already stolen it to put in her office! 😂
All in all, the project is very simple. However, some parts are a little tricky to print. A slightly reduced print speed and a brim can be considered if necessary for certain pieces.
Like most of my fairy houses, all the pieces print without supports.
All the pieces are already oriented in the right position for printing.
The project is obviously compatible with a mini-type printer, like the Prusa Mini or the A1 Mini.
You can light the fairy house with a simple battery-operated tealight like the ones you can find on Amazon.
A Bambu Lab project file is included with the required color changes and settings.
Remember: My color changes are "by layers" and not painted. You must slice the plate in the project first to see the applicable colors in the preview.
That being said, a few small details deserve a mention:
Use a minimum of 3 walls. Even 4 if you wish.
The side windows are not the same (top and bottom). They have a different indentation at the bottom of the window. Make sure you don't make a mistake, so the curvature of the window fits the body of the house.
On the body of the house, the bottom windows (on the side) do not have the same small rear lip as the top windows. This does not change the gluing. Place your glue on the sides of the opening and simply push the window into place. I don't know why, but my software decided to delete them (damn parametric 3D sometimes!) and I'm currently unable to bring them back. I'll update the files if I can find what the problem is. But as mentioned, it changes almost nothing to the assembly.
The little candies on the roof!!! They are really quick to print with a very minimal amount of filament. In the Bambu Lab project file, you'll see that I placed them all on the same plate. If you print them on a conventional printer, I suggest you do the same thing: open each candy and place them all on the same plate. Adjust the quantities as mentioned in the name and print the plate. The reason is simple: I chose 4 colors, and I printed a full plate of each color. Yes, I had wayyyyy too many, but if you need more choice to avoid two colors repeating side by side, you can overcome all situations with the large number of colors and formats. At worst, you'll have some left over to glue elsewhere on the house if you wish.
The base is configured for fuzzy skin. You're free to add it or not, but some holes might be a bit large if you don't. My fuzzy skin settings are: Point distance 0.7mm - Skin thickness 0.3mm. In the Bambu Lab file, the settings are already set per object.
There are parts with color changes per layer. You don't need a multi-color printer to make these. Any printer can do it easily. If you're not familiar with color changes per layer, don't hesitate to ask for help on my Facebook community page. Members will be happy to guide you.
Follow the instructions carefully and everything should go like a charm!
Finally, as usual, the required colors and quantities are indicated in the file names.
So i think I've covered everything there is to say. If I forgot anything, please let me know!
Have fun my friend! Hope you like it! :)
