Hello fellow makers!

Here's the first model for Halloween 2023!

A classic witch's cauldron, large enough to hold a lot of candies!!!

The cauldron has a diameter of 190mm and a height of (roughly) 150mm.

The broth is the lid of the bowl, and you can lift it by grabbing the large bone on the side.

A witch's broth wouldn't be one without a few eyes! So I have included two models, straight and angled to add a little bit of diversity. They can also be scaled up or down to obtain different sizes, just make sure you are scaling all the parts and using the right ones. More details about the eye assemblies in the instructions.

The design is really easy to print. Even the twisted handles, which have a specific base design to make them really easy to print.

Everything prints without supports, and all the parts are already placed in the right orientation for printing.

The design is made of individual parts, so no need for a multicolor printer.

I strongly suggest to use a brim on the small parts, like the iris and the pupils.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You will find in the stl files, two "broth" files. A normal one (which is the one you can see in the pictures) and one with ripples. If you choose the one with the ripples, it must be printed with the smallest layer height possible,

There's three indentations to glue the eyes in place. You cannot scale the eyes with this version. And you must print three eyes at 100% scale. No more eyes, and not bigger/smaller.

That's why i prefer the flat version (simply called "BROTH"), the one in the pictures, because you can put as many eyes as you want, and in almost any sizes. There's no predefined location with the flat version, and you can be more creative in quantities and sizes.

But i thought you would like to have both version, so the version with the ripples is also included. Choose the one you prefer.

In any case, if you are experiencing some troubles with the files or the design, send me a private message. I will try to help you as much as i can, as i always do.

PA1 MAKER

Hello Kiara! Not yet, but i will put the police station on my to-do list! ;)

PA1 MAKER

Wow! Thanks a lot Wes! I really appreciate! Thanks for supporting my work!!! :P

Matthew Sherwin

forgive me if im wrong but there are 2 different size eyes, could them both be put onto the build plate at the same time? for me, its only loading one size eyeball etc. what scales are they supposed to be at? thank you

PA1 MAKER

Hello Matthew In the files, there's two types of eyes (straight and angled) but only one size. On my picture, the bigger eye was simply scale by 130%. You can scale them like you want. If you prefer having only one size, keep them as is. If you want different sizes, scale them the way you want, as long as you scale the three parts together (eyeball, iris and pupil).

I love this!!! Is it possible to get a version of the bubble top without the eyes? Maybe with a spoon handle instead of the bone?

David Jarrell

My second one is printing now. Love it!! Is there a possibility of a reptile pupil?? (Slit pupil.) I think that would be an east add since you already have the files. Thanks for the great models!!

I'm having the hardest time printing this, I've almost gone through an entire 1 kg spool of black to print the cauldron. I keep getting a layer shift at about 37%. I'm using a .2 layer height with 15% gyroscope infill and slicing it through cura 5.2. I have a FLSUN V400. I have tried printing at 125% of the size once and 100% of the size 3 times. I've tried slowing it down and speeding it up. I've tried different print temps, flow rates, and adjusting my z axis. But every time at the same place I get a layer shift and there are others higher up too, all at the same places in each print. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I really want this print to work as I am using it for a couple of candy dishes at work. Your goth church printed great so I know I can print your models. This one though is giving me fits. Also, I've tried 2 different machines and get the same layer shift at the same spots in the print.

i have replied to your private message Antonio! 😉

PA1 MAKER

Hi David! Thanks my friend! Nice idea for the reptile pupil!!! Will try to do that soon! 😉

PA1 MAKER

Hello Kim! The eyes are individual parts that are glued on the top. So you can print the top only without the eyes. Regarding your suggestion, I will try to add the spoon option in the next days. 😊

Kim Dilts

That’s what I did, I just wondered about one with more bubbles. It’s all good either way though!! I’ve already printed several!!

Brianna Patton

This model is how I found you! I just knew that I had to print it. Everything came out beautifully and I was impressed by how well the eyes fit together.

Tiny Dioramas

Hey was thinking how about bucket for kids to take trick or treating could just be this with a handle or a completely different design

PA1 MAKER

Hi my friend! I love the idea. Not sure if its better to have a 3d printed handle, or add some holes for a rope/ribbon instead. I'm not sure a 3d printed handle could survive a full trick or treat evening... I am finishing a design today, i will post it in a few hours, but right after that i will have a look at this quick mod regarding the cauldron! ;) Thanks for the idea! :)

PA1 MAKER

Welcome and thanks a lot Brianna! I'm glad you like my designs, and thank you for supporting my work! I really appreciate! :)

Tiny Dioramas

Awesome rope would probably work but I’m sure you’ll come up with something amazing like always 😁
