Hello everyone! Me again!

I'm pretty sure many of you will be happy with this new design, the first one of a collection of 5 that will be released in the next weeks!

I am introducing you today my first Christmas fairy house!

A cute Christmas Bauble mounted on a snow base, which can be printed in a wide range of colors!

The design was modified many times to make it easily printable. The base of the bauble is not completely spherical, to prevent any overhang issues. The snow base hides the fact that the bauble is not completely round.

The project is simple, just like the other fairy houses. Support free, already placed parts and color coded names. Complete instructions with exploded are provided for an easy assembly.

You don't need a multicolor printer to print this project. You can have the exact same result with any 3d printer!

The bauble is tilted on the bed when you print it, so the white lines on the bauble are simply made with a color change at the corresponding layer.

The base and the chimney snow were printed with fuzzy skin settings. It is mentionned in the file names.

I have also printed the trees with the fuzzy skin settings, but i am not sure if y prefer smooth trees or fuzzy ones, so its up to you to print them the way you prefer.

A complete BambuLab project file is also included for the bambulab Owners, with the files already painted and the fuzzy skin mode selected on the fuzzy parts.

As usual, i recommend to do some dry fit checks (without glue) to see how the parts fit together.

Quick note: Follow the instructions carefuly regarding the first step, because you have a specific order to follow for these three first parts. But all the rest is super easy.

LIST OF FILAMENTS:

RED: Polymaker - Polyterra Army redGREEN: Filament Depot - PLA GreenWHITE FOR THE STRIPES: eSUN - PLA+ WhiteWHITE FOR THE SNOW: Polymaker - Polyterra Coton whiteGREY: Filament Depot - PLA GreyGOLD: Hello 3D - PLA Golk likeBEIGE: D3D Filaments - Premium Matte KraftALL the other parts, like the trees and the window panes were printed with filament left overs, so i don't really have a list, but any green for the trees and pale blue for the window panes will do the work.

Those colors are only a suggestion, don't hesitate to be creative! :)

Have fun my friends! Hope you like it!!!

Have a nice day!!! :)

Love them. They will be on my printer very soon

Ian Holloway

Thanks PA1, I love this design! Any chance you can remix to have the loop at the very top of the bauble so it could hang straight on a Christmas tree? Perhaps the other 4 can also be hung on a tree, with the top loop positioned to allow the Fairy House to hang straight? If not I can screw in a metal loop - thanks

Geek3designs

I wonder if there would be an easy way to modify this to be able to put a tea light inside

Stuart Bowling

i get an error message unzipping for the .3mf that the path name is to long?

Deborah Ortiz

Your designs are AMAZING!!! Quick question...are these scalable? Can I go up to 150% or even 200% with no problem?

Kiara Ortiz Navarro

This one is amazing and if you have a strong enough branch you can totally hang this too!

Kiara Ortiz Navarro

has nothing to do with the file but with he place your saving it to on your hard drive

Roderval

Ma bisogna stampare con supporti??

Stuart Bowling

The file name is long and unzipping the.3mf within the folder makes the name location long. I unzipped it back to the parent downloads folder and not within thanks.

Im just about done with this one. The right window and doorway had some sagging. May just be due to my filament. I may end up trying to add a couple supportes n theese areas to be on the safe side if i reprint another

PA1 MAKER

No specific scale honestly. I would say its near 1:70 if i consider the dimension of the door, or 1:1 if i consider the size of the Bauble... :p But the fairy houses are all built around the same size, which is approximately 90mm high for the house body (in this case, the bauble alone).

PA1 MAKER

Hi Ian! I can do that, but i'll have to rework the bauble to have the hook right on top. Will put that on my list and i'll try to do it in the next week or so. Is it ok with you? :)

PA1 MAKER

Could be possible, will have a look at it. But i will have to rework the windows and the door because the recess where they are installed actually won't be possible with a thin, lightable version. I'll have to make something similar to the Hot Wheels designs, with a lip on the windows and door, to make them gluable from the inside. But i'll have a look. :)

PA1 MAKER

I'll have a look at it! ;) I tried to download and unzip the files on my side, and everything works fine, but its possible that the long file name is causing problem on some computers. Will try to have a look at it today! ;)

PA1 MAKER

Hello Deborah! Just like Kiara said, yes it totally possible! Making it smaller would be hard, but going bigger won't be a problem at all. :)

PA1 MAKER

Totally support free, but you need to have good overhang settings.

PA1 MAKER

Try to slow down the speed on the overhangs. The cooling will be more effective and it should solve the problem. The speeds of my overhangs are 20mm/s for 0-50 degrees overhangs and 10mm/s for anything more than that.

Ian Holloway

Thanks Pascal. That would be perfect. I'm making tree ornaments now and would like to add the Bauble in a slightly smaller size. I have a 35% Toon House tree ornament - hoping these will take off over the season.

Geek3designs

I'll have to check my settings. I am using the .3mf file so possible it's the same settings. If I have to add a little support its not a big deal.

Freemen

Hey Pascal. Can you please design more hotwheels products? Burger King? :)

Roderval

Che percentuale di fill utilizzate per questo progetto?

Tobias Habich

It would be nice to be able to light it with a tea light.

Roderval

che percentuale di infill density hai unsato? ma hai usato supporti?

Michael Morrow

I would really love to have a tea light version of this!!

3Demoniak

Elle est trop canon ! Le temps d'acheter les bonnes couleurs et je m'y met !!

Andreia Attard

I've just joined but seem to be having a problem with the 3mf file name being too long. Is there any other way to download? Thanks

Heather McDonald

I am making the tealight version of this. Can anyone tell me where to put the pauses for color changes? I'm printing with an Ender 3 V3 SE and using Creality Print as my slicer. Thank you!!

Ash

Hi, I am unable to ring the file for the white rings. Any idea where else I could look?

PA1 MAKER

Hello Ash! The white ring is made with a color change at correspongind layers. Its not a part itself. That's why the bauble is placed at an angle on the plate.
