CHRISTMAS MAGNETIC COASTERS (Patreon)

Hello dear friends! 

Here's a cute set of magnetic coasters! 

The design is made of two individual parts, which can be printed with any regular printer. 

A simple color change is needed for the top section, and the base section has two cavities to drop in 8x3mm neodymium magnets. This way, the coasters will stay together when stored, without the need of a rack or storage box. 

I recommend not gluing the magnets! if they are able to move a bit, they will be more effective when you'll stack the coasters. Because not every magnets are the same size (8x3mm magnets have a thickness between 2.75 and 3.00mm depending on the brand), if they are free to move, the magnetic action will be better. 

For this project, i didnt include the colors in the file names. Because they can be made in a wide variety of colors, i tought it would be less confusing this way. 

But i have included a full bambulab project file, with the files already prepared with the color change at the correct height. Just print the plates in the colors you want. 

TIP regarding the magnets: When you will receive them, they are all stacked together in the bag. Grab a permanent marker, and put a dot on the top of each of them. Put a dot on the first one, move the magnet to the other end, put a dot on the second one, move it to the other end, etc etc... This way,  each negative or positive side (depending on which end you started your marking) will have a small dot, making the positionning into the coaster base way more easy.

BLACK: Polymaker - Polyterra charcoal black.

RED: Polymaker - Polyterra Army red. 

WHITE: Polymaker - Polyterra Coton white.

BLUE: Polymaker - Polyterra Muted blue. 

GREEN: Filament Depot - PLA Green
