Hello everyone! Me again!

The second model of the Christmas fairy house collection is now in the dropbox!

A cute Hot chocolate cup, which (tadaaa!) can be illuminated from the inside with a battery operated tealight!

I am actually working on the bauble to include an illuminated version. It will be released very soon. Parts are printing while i'm writing this.

Regarding the Hot chocolate mug, it a bit different compared to the bauble. Because the main structure is hollow, the doors and windows are made differently. They are like the Hot Wheels models, with a lip all around, but because the cup and the bauble are round i cannot make those parts printable without supports. I'm sorry for this! But you need supports on those parts only. All the rest is printable wihout supports.

Just like the bauble, printing bridges on a curve surface can lead to a bit of sagging for the first pass. But even if the openings are not perfectly done, the door and windows will hide it once assembled. Use a slow speed on bridges with correct cooling, and it should be ok.

The part names are color coded, with quantities and fuzzy skin if needed.

A full bambulab project file is also included.

Complete instructions are in the zip file, and as always, i recommend to do some dry fit checks before gluing, to see how the pieces go together.

An optionnal "Bubbly top" is also included.

For the hard candy, two versions are included. Single piece version for BambuLab Owners, and multi parts version for conventionnal printers.

Follow the instructions carefully and everything should be easy.

FILAMENTS USED:

BROWN: Polymaker - Polyterra army brown.

RED: Polymaker - Polyterra Army red.

WHITE: Polymaker - Polyterra Coton white.

BLUE: Polymaker - Polyterra Muted blue.

GREEN: Filament Depot - PLA Green

PALE GREEN: Sakata - PLA850 Green

GARK GREY: Filament Depot - PLA Grey

LIGHT GREY: 3D Printing Canada - PLA+ Medium grey (i know it sounds weird, but my light grey is actually called like this! lol)

CLEAR: Use any transparent filament. I used clear filament from IIID Max, but believe me you don't wanna buy that!!! Stay away from this brand, terrible quality issues.

So that's it! If you have any kind of questions regarding this project, send me a private message and I will have a look at it.

Have a nice day! Pascal

Theses are so cute, Thank you so much for sharing your talent❤️❤️❤️

Roderval

hai usato supporti??? e come infill density che percentuale???

PA1 MAKER

Thanks a lot! The third one is already in progress. 🙂

Thanks Adam! Glad you like it! 😊

PA1 MAKER

Thanks a lot for your kind words Carol! 😊

Hello Roderval 99% of my designs are support free. When supports are needed, it is specified in the post, just like this one, and you also have the mention "supports" in the file name. Regarding the infill, again if a specific infill is needed it will be mentioned. Otherwise, all my designs are made to be printable with "standard profiles" from the slicers with no change at all. This way anyone can print them, even if they are totally new to the hobby. If no infill is specified in the text above, just keep the default infill settings in you slicer and it will be fine. Hope this helps, have a nice day! 😊

These are so cute! Thank you for including info on the filaments you used :)

Jeff Robinson

What settings do you suggest for the fuzzy skin? (Prusa Slicer for an Ender 3 default settings are Outside Walls, 0.3 thickness, 0.8 point distance)

Daryl Jennings

There is an issue with the wreeth and door plate. At least i assume its an issue. Layer 15 and Layer 16 require both white and green, Normally you have made it a single switch.

Daryl Jennings

Another issue with the full Bambu Lab file. Its got double the amount of needed Glass, trees and chimney brown piece

PA1 MAKER

Hi Daryl. Its ok like this, the AMS will paint the two parts, just like any other multicolor parts. The ams is able to do two colors during the same layer, so the printer will make the green first, and then switch to the white for the other part. ;)

PA1 MAKER

For the glass and chimney end cap this is an error. Just print one set if you are making only one model. For the trees, keep two pieces on the plate. Those are small and pointy pieces, and you will get better print results by printing two of them. With only one piece, the heat will accumulate into the print, and the pointy top of the tree will be deformed and ugly, unless you print very slowly, just like any other pointy thing. So its better to print two of them and reuse the other somewhere else just like i did in my pictures. ;) I will remove the extra parts today in the 3mf file (the end piece and the glass parts) but i strongly suggest that you print two trees at the time for this specific part. :)

PA1 MAKER

Hi Jeff! My favorite setting for the fuzzy skin is 0.3 thickness, with 0.4 point distance. This will give you a more dense, tight fuzzy skin.

Les Créations Point-virgule

For the lid, it's a file with 2 colors... If I don't have a Bambulab printer, how I can make it without painting it?

PA1 MAKER

Hello Isabelle! Which printer/slicer are you using? You can do the color change with a simple pause at height. If you can tell me which slicer you are using, i will give you a link or two on how to do it! :) Its pretty simple.

Elliott Richards

What tea lights did you use for this? Do you have a link? Thanks

PA1 MAKER

Hello Elliott! Conventionnal battery operated tealights. Like those ones: https://www.amazon.ca/Operated-Flameless-Flickering-Tealights-Decorations/dp/B0BP6BHLYZ/ref=asc_df_B0BP6BHLYZ/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=579253895229&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6736348495545966598&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9000502&hvtargid=pla-1968305796371&mcid=4d2cb652527d3605b1df0dca21b9189c&th=1 They are between 35 and 38mm in diameter. I bought mine at the local dollar store. They are available in almost every dollar store. You can have a rechargeable model also on amazon, but it's a bit expensive in my opinion.

Rebecca Beale

I just joined and I'm already printing this model! I run an X1Carbon, P1P, and I even busted out the old and trusty Anycubic Kobra! My husband laughed at me for that one. Your designs are so creative and fun. I have been looking for unique things to print and you sir have got me hooked already! Please keep up the great work!

MakersChoice

You shouldnt need an account, you can just download the files from dropbox.

Erica Webb

Hello. Can I print this using cura? Is there a link on a tutorial you can provide me on doing the filament switch during layers if you don't have a Bambu printer? I plan on making that my second one next year.

elsa olivera

I just finished printing mine at 150% and they scaled beautifully!!!!

hypermice

I just made this and I LOVE it! My only complaint is I would rather the bottom be mostly open to put in the light, taking off the chocolate top is a pain with the texture of the fuzzy skin. Any chance we could get a slight revision to the cup to have a bottom-opening one? You would need to adjust the base as well since the little cutout would not work.

Torita Byrd

i love your designs and the only issue im having is printing the coco top in 2 pieces. i don't have a multi color printer yet so i need every color printed individually if possible. thanks for sharing your products with us. i have the same issue with the coasters they look great multi color. i can't paint right now recovering from hand surgery.

Brianna Patton

For the "multi colored" prints, you just pause the print at the layer where the colors change, then change your filament. None of Pascal's prints require a multicolor printer :D

Torita Byrd

My printer wouldn’t let me unload and load filament when it’s paused I tried it several times

Brianna Patton

Oh no! What type of printer do you have? Maybe the community can figure out how to help, Pascal is really good about helping with layer filament changes too.

Torita Byrd

Xyz da Vinci mini +, I’m waiting on the creality k1 and Bambu mini but not sure if I’ll get in time to fill my orders

Torita Byrd

Do you know how to do it in xyz printing slicer because I’m having the same issue

Kelly Irizarry

Torita, what slicer do you use? I use Cura and and it has options when you need to change filament during the print. you don't have to stop the printer.

Torita Byrd

I just started using cura but I loose some functionality when using it with my da Vinci. I’ll be trying them on my new printer soon

Jayden Riesner

hello I'm having a hard time making the mug I was wondering if you could share with me what the in fill setting would be and the layer height would and how many wall line count

Viktor

Have you ever heard about "negative parts"? These are geometric forms helping you to cut holes into your parts. You can find these in your slicer software.

Viktor

Printing the mug since a few minutes, looking good for at least 75 layers :) The given settings in the Bambulab-file are quite standard: 20% infill, 3 wall loops, layer height 0.12mm (for better results). What's your issue? Maybe your filament is the problem? Trying with PETG at the moment. First try was with a filament tending to warp and the result was very bad...

Angi

How do I know what layer to set the pause for the top?

KIMBERLY

The white fuzzy snow top is missing from the full file folder. I just redowloaded it and found the single file.

KIMBERLY

When I go to print this single file is says that the current nozzle set is wrong and is askng for an 0.2 - all the others were a 0.4. I know to switch it - just thought I'd mention since it's geared and all set up to print otherwise for Bambu folks.
