Hello my beloved friends!

Here's a special request made by more than one person, regarding the valentine's day fairy house. Simple request: A more classic version of the rose with the lighting inside. Something to create a nice, romantic ambiance.

So i took the model of the fairy house, and did a little work on it to remove the "house parts".

I also made a new base, in two versions, smaller and faster to print.

One version is a plain one, with or without fuzzy skin (you decide).

The other one is a cute base with hearts all around.

For obvious reasons, there's no instructions included. Just print one base + one rose, and the project is done! Don't forget to put your favorite battery operated tealight in!

The filament i used for this project are:

-SPECTRUM FILAMENT - PLA Pastel Turquoise

-3DPrintingCanada - House Brand PLA Pink

A ready-to-print BambuLab project file is included in the zip file.

If you have any kind of questions, feel free to ask my friends! Keep printing!!! :) Pascal

I thought so to... Unfortunately 2023 wasn't the year for them. Hopefully 2024 will be better

Newbie question. What settings is everyone using for the rose. I'm using 0% infill, but trying to get the thickness better for more light to be seen.

Mike Wood

Mine printed fine without supports, but I need to find a more transparent filament because the walls are thick enough to block most of the light.

It is great, I printed one and then thought, it would be so neat if the hearts around the base were separate so the could be printed in a different color and glued in place. Any chance Pascal?

I just finished printing one. It prints and look awsome 😍

Seems to me like the walls of the rose need to be thinner not enough light passes thru.

Mike Wood

That was my experience. Still looks great, but I'll need to print it with translucent filament or just be happy with no light.

What lights are people using?? I have 2 outer wall and my battery tea lights are not visible at all??

Light pink and white were OK for me, but red with only 2 walls and 5% infill still didn't show through at all. I'm hesitant to drop down to 1 wall. I think it would be too flimsy and the infill might show through. I might try a skinnier line width and see if that helps.

same. if you use some red semi transparent petg with no infill that'd probs do it. i'll test that theory a bit later.

Has anyone revisited this? I went down to 1 wall and 0 infill and it's still not illuminated. I tried vase mode too but it was waaaaay too flimsy.

I've come up with a solution for this. I just used filament that is see through light clear or natural glowing clear, red clear, green or blue glowing filament etc. They look great in these types of filaments. Must do some more actually.
