This was a collaboration with Geography Joe. Be sure to check out his channel as well when you get a chance. :)

It's the two crossroads states. Both really in the middle of it all.

Also, unbelievably, these are two states I haven't visited, although I did get close to Cincinnati once. I think they are both underrated as heck. Anyone on here from one of these two states? I mean, I'm pretty sure I have patrons from both, but just wanted to hear from you!

Thanks for your continued support.

Ohio and Pennsylvania The Buckeye State and The Keystone State Two neighboring Midwestern states in these United States. Ok, well, western Pennsylvania feels Midwestern, but eastern Pennsylvania definitely feels Mid-Atlantic. Heck, you could even classify parts of Pennsylvania as part of the Northeast region of the country. It’s a crossroads state, really. Um, but yeah, this video is about Pennsylvania AND OHIO and you know what? BOTH are crossroads states, with easy access to sooo many great places. Both states sure do have a lot in common, for real. First of all, both are part of the Rust Belt, a region of the country known for declining industry and run down factories. Even decades after most of these factories have shut down, several cities in both states continue to lose population each year. Both are probably about to lose one electoral vote in the Electoral College, because the population of both hasn’t grown much in recent years. Hey speaking of the Electoral College (ugh, Electoral College), if a presidential candidate wins either Ohio or Pennsylvania, odds are they are winning the entire election. Ohio and Pennsylvania pick winners, baby! Pennsylvania picked the winner for all but two presidential elections between 1789 and 1880. Both Ohio and Pennsylvania tend to be swing states in recent years, although Ohio seems to be more reliably Republican lately. Both have one Republican U.S. Senator and one Democratic U.S. Senator. Now, the governor of Ohio is a Republican and the governor of Pennsylvania is a Democrat. But the state legislatures in both states currently have Republican majorities. #ohio and #pennsylvania #geography #mrbeat #compared

I was born in Ohio, but moved when I was 3. I do have a family member there and visit occasionally. The Buckeye State! Thanks for this comparison video Mr. Beat! Had family in Pennsylvania too and visited Philadelphia several times as a kid. I'm looking forward to watching this!

Awesome video! I'm from Pittsburgh so this was a blast to watch. You forgot the part where Pittsburgh people aren't the biggest fans of Philly people due to the hockey rivalry 😂😉

Massachusetts and Connecticut compared would be a fun one

Thanks Levi! I didn't know that. Pittsburgh actually seems like my kind of city. I love how it's pretty scenic and not crazy big...kind of like Kansas City if it were closer to mountains. :)

I love these state comparison videos! I have never been to Pennsylvania, but it’s on my list. Pittsburgh has a very scenic backdrop and Philly is full of us history.

Cincinnati is a great weekend getaway destination. Cleveland is kind of meh..

Yeah you probably would, we've got a lot here. Hopefully you get a chance to visit someday. There's something here for everyone definitely!
